Very cool idea, especlally for your first game jam! Great job on the models. I'd advise going forward that you give some sort of "Controls" window, since I died quite a few times to the scientist not knowing where to go. I'd also replace the collision check on the rat's jumping script with a raycast(assuming you used a collision check), since I was able to wall-run my way down the staircase(which was oddly fun). I didn't make it to the bottom so I don't know if there was anything at the bottom, but from what I did see very well done for your first jam!
It was nice and fun, and definitely challenging. The controls felt really floaty though. I would have preferred a much lower mouse(rat?) sensitivity. The scientist catching me made me jump almost every time!
Good job and congrats on your first jam!

Cool. The start was a bit unforgiving. Could have used a more gradual progression. Very funny game. Well done

Yeah my sensitivity was pretty high for my taste on this one too. The answer is obviously to move to the back of your cage where the scientist cant reach you and live a happy life! :) I noticed a weird visual glitch on the menu when fullscreen? not sure if that was intentional or not, but it actually looked kind of cool.visual_glitch.png
Pretty good for your first jam. As said above the controllers and camera were not so good, but fixing this i think it can be pretty good in general =D
I LOVE voxel graphics, but it didn't let me move in the game.

Seemed fun, but couldn't play! Moving the mouse was way too sensitive and I'd just keep spinning very quickly.

Cool game!I liked the perspective from the mouse height. Found a trick to gain more seconds hiding in the crate at the corner before making the run. Those rat-traps kept me on my toes. Hte camera movement could be a less sensitive but that didn't kept me from enyoing your game. Congratulations!

Changelog to keep it clear. - Changed controller sensitivity. Still an abomination but playable.

46 seconds :) Very good first game jam entry. At first the walls melt into one mess but after some practice you can navigate better.
28 seconds! The movement made it so hard to dodge the traps, but I actually liked that! Suggest bits of cheese or crumbs to give the rat an extra life every few floors to keep the momentum going for players. Fun little game, great job!

Really liked the graphics but like the others I hade a bit of a hard time steering. I kept losing too fast, so I had a hard time a getting any better at it since I spent most of my time dying  So I would've liked it a little easier, but then again I've never been very good at these type of games. Congratulations on completing your first game jam!

Damn these mouse traps! I thought I am his favorite rat, why is he trying to kill me? :D Nice job though, the controls felt a little weird at first but you get used to very quickly!
Really liked the visual art

I really enjoyed this. The controls felt nice, although I do wish the camera would zoom out a little more so I can see more of that beautiful rat. Good work!
Congratulations on your first game jam! And cool little game!
I found a small glitch: if you die and just press Q, you live again but your position and timer are not reset.
I also agree with the others that it's quite hard to survive for a longer time, but the limited view for example makes sense for a rat nonetheless. All in all, well done!
Fabulous! Adorable theme. Great effort, it's totally playable but the controls are not ideal. Well done, the compo is just never enough time!!
Not letting you strafe was threw me off for a bit, I ended up just using W to move forward and whipping the mouse since that was easier than backing up and rotating.
Very interesting. I think the control scheme might need to be revamped so its easier to turn. I felt like a Mouse Truck trying to turn. Also it was almost unplayable without fullscreen.
Also, bug. The timer still ticks down when you get caught and you continue to walk without restarting it.
I like this concept, great job

I found the controls painful but I love the idea, excellent concept, as someone with a cat I know he is thinking these thoughts every so often. I managed to rack up the time survived by hiding under a table but did not get down the stairs.

This felt like a very unique take on endless runners! I had a lot of fun with it and I love that you can cheese (pun intended) the game a little just by running around on the top floor to rack up points :joy:
