the mood and atmosphere is really nice! also the graphics are impressive for 48 hours. good job! the controls are a little sticky-feeling and i get confused sometimes about where to go, but a pretty solid game!
Indeed nice atmosphere. Falling felt great. Well done! I got a bad path and it wend black before my eyes
Really cool game and a nice interpretation of the theme. (The cough sound could use some work, though.) Also the art style looks amazing! Just took me a while to figure out what the different elements represent. (e.g. the checkpoint mushrooms.) Also took me quite some time to realize that you have to left click at the end.
I love the mechanic where jumping hurts you. Makes you think about how best to navigate around enemies (i.e. wait until they path underneath then drop down on the correct side). It would be have been cool to explore that a bit more. Aesthetics are wonderful, especially the 'mushroomy being' at the end. I like how your corpse turns into a mushroom when you die. Checkpoints should refill your health, I ended up killing myself at a checkpoint to restore my health for the journey ahead.
Nice idea, makes you think better on what is the best way to reach the bottom
Beautiful graphics and great gameplay! Was super fun to play, and the mechanic to force you to think about your jumps was very interesting.
I kepth getting stuck at the bottom of big holes. was fun
First of all, thank you for ZQSD <3. The game was pretty good and the concept was unique, big brain on that ! And, for a compo, that was SOLID. I mean, there is even an ending cutscene, you had the time for that oO ?? However, the level design is a bit odd... A lot of frustrating blind jumps, and the second part is just a long fall to the end with no real challenges. And yeah, too bad for the lack of music !
Otherwise, great job :) !
Thank you all very much for your feedbacks! Now I really want to make an upgraded version with what you said, thx again!
The art is just absolutely stunning. I would love to see a full version of this story. The visuals at the end were again stunning. Story wise I wasn't sure if we got cured a or not... need more info on the lore !? :) Thanks for making the game, was awesome. Especially for 48 hours :)
Really good atmosphere. Love the art! Controls feel good. You could probably expand this out into a full multi-level game pretty easily! Just needs the time to do playtest iteration and level architecture tightening + mood music. Great entry!
Nice graphics and wonderful mechanics in such a short time!
Would have loved some music and nice(r) sounds, it would have added a-lot to the mood.
Congrats on a really nice game! :rocket:
Awesome graphics, but I became really efficient a getting stuck, wasn't really clear what I need to change to go better.
Things I liked: - Loved the mood and style of the game - really neat mechanic with the illness - the physics made sense when working properly - really nice art
Improvements/suggestions: - A mellow ambient background music would really improve the mood
Bugs: - I fell a long distance a couple of times and I clipped into the terrain; it failed well though because I could jump out and wasn't completely stuck.
Nice concept! You start to think twice before you jump, but also avoiding risks by basically wondering whether the next pit leads you to a trap.
Finished on a second try, loved the graphics and visual effects, had a strong "Hollow Knight" flashbacks :helicopter: With some dark slow ambient music, it's going to be even stronger :)
Looked good, nice and moody. I'd love to see this with more polish and juice. Compo is just never enough time!!
