Fun game, took me a second to realize I had to click the *ground* to start digging... My highest stock value according to the game is $2570, but I had $11k at some point. I think it should also track highest total profit as well.

Nice. sound was a bit loud but I got the right feeling with the controls. It starts nice but a little more indication that you need to go to the ground would be nice. Ow .. that was mentioned before. But overall : nicely done
Pretty cool simple mining game. The art and music mesh together nicely. You did a good job here. Looking to seeing more of your work in future compos!

Wow, the gameplay mechanic of the screen going down even if you're mining sideways is really interesting! Had some fun playing this :)

Cool little game. I like the idea. Reminds me of digging in something like Terraria. My first reaction was to want to go and explore more down in some of those little caverns. I didn't realize at first that going sideways for more ore "hurts" the player :). I just wanted more gold. The audio and graphics sounded and looked good as well. Great job!
The overall execution is on point, especially considering that you made everything from scratch. Design wise, the lack of obstacle/hazards means that I don't have anything to come challenge me, so the game gets repetitive quite fast, without any reason to go deeper apart from increasing my score. Loved the music !

Nice and fun. At first I didn't know what to do, but once I clicked on the ground I got it. Nice that the light only shows part of the mine. Overall well done!

This is great! It's well polished all around and satisfying to keep playing. It's not clear to me exactly what the rules are for when mining a non-ore tile moves the screen down or not, but other than that it was fun and straightforward and plays very smoothly. Well done!

I have a soft spot in my heart for clicker games and this was perfect for that. Of course being the min-maxer that I am, I figured out that if you just stay right in the middle and hold your mouse down, only taking gold/gems that are immediately adjacent, and only moving left or right when you hit a metal wall, and then back to middle, you will never die. At least I haven't yet and I'm at level 647 with 50k stock :) well done!

This was surprisingly addictive! The sound effects were very satisfying, did you use a glass and some ice cubes for the mining gold sound effect?
One thing I noticed is that when I was mining and the camera moved, it would stop mining. It might be cool to have it so that even if the camera moves, you still mine in the direction relative to where you were previously mining before the camera moved. I'm not actually sure if that would work well, but just throwing out an idea!
Great job!
@evan The digging sound effect was a container of honey roasted peanuts, the metal sound was a 30-year-old pizza pan, and the mining gold sound effect was letting a nearly-used-up candle's lid fall against it in my lap. :stuck_out_tongue:
I think what you might be experiencing with the camera thing is that when you start mining, the screen is in the process of moving, so when the screen finally catches up with you, your mouse is no longer on a mineable tile. I think in the post-LD version I'll let the player mine in a direction like you said though, or something like that at least. Because after playing it for uhh... probably too many hours, I definitely agree.
Thanks for the feedback! 🤍

Loved it! the gameplay was great, the music was super nice, and for once I liked the fact that there was no player-character, rather conceptual "reach".
I progress kept me going and I like out with time surveying became more expensive, though I wish there were more generated structures and TNT and overall more gold because there were time where I had 20+ blocks with nothing.
Great submission!
