Very fun concept! The UX could maybe be improved a little by letting the user drag and drop blocks around if you decide to continue the project, but a fun entry nonetheless!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Minecraftle

@Sozey Thanks! I agree that a drag&drop UI is more intuitive and that was my original plan, but the keyboard felt iconically wordle-y to me. It's more of a dev feature but you can also use keyboard keys:
R = redstone, I = iron, P = planks, S = stick, spacebar = air
enter = enter, backspace/delete = delete a letter
I've been informed that Tripwire hooks are missing from the game, I won't add them though.
I don't know if using the Minecraft assets is in the spirit of the compo. You're supposed to create everything in the 48 hours, and we all know a team of artists created the MC assets over years.
Definitely should've been submitted to the Jam instead, but nonetheless, cool concept, well-executed.
I do not know the Minecraft recipes good enough to play this game, but the idea fun and I had fun trying it.
I think wood sword didnt register as a recipe when I tried making it. I didnt try other wood tools but I have to say this is a fun twist on all the wordles popping up. I started with minecraft mods when I first ever touched game design, so this game feels nostalgic
@thomasj I normalized weapons and armor to only iron recipes (only iron helmet and iron sword work, no gold/wood versions)
Fun idea, always fun to se a new twist on wordle!
Awesome idea! Really nice twist on wordle! What a shame that I never played Minecraft, so I can't guess a single thing XD
OMG this idea was so great, but you made it in full web.
What's wrong with full web?
Ha! This is funny. Great mash up. Pretty hard though if you don't know the minecraft recipes by heart
Pretty good game! As someone who isn't too familiar with Wordle, but is familiar with its precedents (the games it took inspiration from) such as [Lingo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingo_%28American_game_show%29), and [Mastermind](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastermind_%28board_game%29), and with Minecraft's recipes, this is a good take on this genre.
A few critiques I have is that one, you should have more rounds starting with a 2x2 grid, and going up to the 3x3 version, or at least, have a mode where the player can select one version or the other. The other is to have more chances instead of three of them.
Other than that, like I said before, it's a pretty good take on the genre.
As my practice shows, not all novice gamblers know how to choose the right gaming platforms. For those who are interested, I recommend that you read this article https://polskie-kasyno-online.pl/icecasino/ where you will find the most detailed and informative review of the popular gaming platform. This is how experienced players prefer to choose proven gaming platforms, so I recommend that you familiarize yourself with it
web not working .. too bad.
A really exciting concept! I hope you will develop it!
Hey there, I'm new to this forum and wanted to chime in on this Minecraft project. It's been a long time since your last update, so I'd really like to know what your app looks like now. I think it's a really fun concept and could definitely see it being expanded upon. Btw, have any of you checked out the web portal for Minecraft fans on https://modbay.net ? It's got some cool resources and mods that could take your Minecraft game to the next level. Anyways, just wanted to share my two cents! Waiting for the updates
