Very funny game, loved the challenge to dodge and hit simultaneously and level design
Really lovely art-style and colour palette. Fun and polished gameplay.
A truly enjoyable game, combining a delightful challenge of simultaneous dodging and hitting with a captivating level design. The art style and color palette are charming, contributing to a fun and well-polished gameplay experience! I would love a web or GNU/Linux version of your game! Please, let me know!
Looks nice, but havent played it yet, do you have a linux version?
Tricky to play, especially with multiple enemies in different directions, but a fun challenge to overcome. I also really liked the damage mechanics for the PC being knocked back instead of losing health, makes the recoveries much more doable from a bad situation.
Nice little game, I enjoyed gameplay. Though it took me a few minutes to understand, that I can control path of projectile, also it would have been nice to have more levels. Overall, really good little game, well done.
I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay, art, and music. It did take me a bit of time to grasp the controls and the distinction between using the left and right mouse buttons (which, I assume, are the same), but once I got the hang of it, the gameplay became quite clear. I appreciate the gradual increase in difficulty and the diverse range of enemy attacks. While I did find it frustrating to restart from the very first level each time I was defeated, I also acknowledge that it pushed me to improve my skills. Overall, well done!
- Wow I love this mechanic, it took me some time to figure it out (because why would I pay attention to the nicely informative gif which is the first thing on the page *facepalm*) and get used to it but it's great. - I'm not sure that fighting enemies in real time is the best suit for this, if you added bounce to the ball you could have a really solid puzzle game. - It was really fun pushing enemies and getting pushed around instead just dying when you get hit, it was a nice surprise.
Thanks everyone for the kind words!
@milq @tschonni I uploaded a linux version now but I can't test it :) if you wanna try it out please let me know if there are any issues
Couldn't get a mac build to work using Godot yet, and web is unfortunately impossible with fmod
Really solid! I feel like this mechanic could go really far with the right sort of level design. I felt like what you have here *almost* lends itself to working well with this mechanic, but honestly I think if you had ditched the 'limited space' part of this idea entirely and just made it some sort of combat on an open field against enemies that encouraged creative use of the mechanic (e.g. the ones you have here, maybe an enemy that faces you with a big shield or something?) it might have resulted in a more fun game. As it is, this is polished, creative, and full of really fun ideas. Excellent work.
Looks great. With some post-processing and visual effects, even basic shapes can come to life! Well done!
That was enjoyable, its an interesting mechanic with those trick shots, can be used in a bigger game for sure. I wish this game had checkpoints it sucked starting all the way from the beginning every time, otherwise it was pretty good.
Wow, seemed very polished, the level transitions, the level design itself and the original gameplay - Amazing for a first try in a new engine!
One of the best, if not the best game I played so far in this Ludum dare!
Awesome! Really unique and fun gameplay, sound is great and everything seems quite polished. I think some particle effects would have juiced this up real good, but other than that a great entry. Good luck!
Really cool throwing mechanic, it is quite satisfying to draw two paths and see the discs go off. 😊 I like the color palette and the misty vibe of the city. The camera transitions are especially well done! The soundtrack is catchy. The level design is fun, great mixture of action and puzzling, and I can imagine that there is much potential for more level ideas. The only suggestion for improvement I have would be to not have the controls on-screen all the time, but only in the first room. Well done! 💜
PS: Appreciate the Linux release!
Really fun, but pretty punishing!
Nice entry! I especially enjoyed that change direction you can apply to the projectile, and the natural transitions between phases. There is some interesting situations also!
Here are some feedbacks trying to be constructive: - Maybe it could be less punitive when you fall. - The fact you have to hit a target twice did not feel right to me. But if it's necessary in terms of pacing/rythm/difficulty, maybe adding a simple feedback on that first hit would improve that.
The mechanics are super slick and fun. I got a Tron vibe :) gratz on the 20 votes :v:
