halgendy 2024-10-08 04:07

But seriously, awesome sound effects and atmosphere

dinobobbo 2024-10-08 04:08

I love the spooky ambiance, the fact that there's a level select, and that you used your own voices! Very cute. Great work~!!

rita-shvets 2024-10-08 04:12

The voice acting is especially good! You are great! And the graphics are very good!

blackcat508 2024-10-08 04:23

simple controls and nice concept!

fireslash 2024-10-08 04:25

In both firefox and chrome I get a black screen after the loading bar. Itch version works.

Some interesting ideas here, but movement felt a bit janky at times, and outcomes were unpredictable. Both the stacking behavior of the stool things and the riding behavior of the balloons felt a bit random and it often felt like I failed due to RNG rather than a mistake on my part. The player also sometimes gets free jumps off walls, this usually happens when using a physics body for the player instead of a kinematic controller.

That said, some neat ideas here. I quite like the spaces this game explores mechanically, and the level design does a good job of teaching new systems without overt tutorialization.

Graphics felt consistent and the music was nice.

Nice work!

Like taking Candy from a baby

cisco 2024-10-09 04:09

Hahha the voice lines are very funny. Great art and mechanics.

owlycode 2024-10-09 08:45

Impressive amount of content with levels, lore, even an intro story! It gets hard pretty fast and can sometime be unpredictable on the physics part.

The art is great, both image and sound, and they set the tone and mood.

The jump felt a bit slow and lacking impact. You could add some screenshake + dust particles when the character jumps and when he touches ground again.

Great work!

The controls are simple but the fabulous design makes me keep playing. I love the innovative way in your game to gain the candies!!!The atmosphere really makes me think of Halloween!!!!

antti-haavikko 2024-10-10 13:24

Nice! 🎉

Very cool gameplay idea and a good amount of content. I just found the control scheme pretty horrible. Separate jump button would have done wonders as doing jumps while throwing down felt really awkward. And the physics overall felt a bit off. Like the character moved too fast and the object shapes didn't really function all that correctly.

But indeed very fun idea and even puzzle design. The different objects offered a really nice amount of freedom how to solve them on some levels at least. Like I'm pretty damn sure you're not supposed to be here yourself on this level but hey, if it works...

And that first octopus level is probably designed to hop between two of them upwards and then toss a shroom but I did it with momentum building and hopping all the way to the candy with a single octopus.

The puzzles and different objects were pretty damn well designed. All their different functionalities became clear with just a little experimentation and it's nice that you didn't force spoon feed how to use them.

Very nice art style and sound design overall. Hell, there even was voice acting! The quips started getting quite repetitive though later on. Having a unique one for each level would have been cool. I just would have wanted a bit more movement and animations. The art was so good looking that it'd been nice to see it come more alive.

It was kinda weird that you really never had to actually throw the magnet at all and were better off just holding it on your hand and controlling it that way.

For the hand, seems like you didn't have too many ideas on how to use them as both levels (after the introduction) were basically the same idea. And those awkward physics were a bit annoying here on this level too trying to wrangle that mush to a hand and then that hand to another.

The spike hitboxes also felt off. Like on that one of the early octopus (maybe second) levels where there was a spiked staircase and you could kill yourself on the spike without even leaving the bottom section. Would feel fairer to give some more leeway and shrink their hitboxes down some.

But yeah, that's about it. Good job, very fun (and complete) game! 👍

I like the sound and voice lines. I had fun playing it!

vanlou 2024-10-10 20:32

This is a fun lil game. The art and the sounds are definitely the best part about it, they are very charming and I feel like they compliment each other. The gameplay was also pretty fun too, though the difficulty spike was not the best thing for me, because i'm not good at puzzles. Overall though very cool game good job :)

I couldn't get past the level 6. Any tips ? Really nice game. Loved the game concept and great sound fx.

ellearx 2024-10-11 00:55

The sound effects caught me off guard ngl, pretty fun game!

paulhocker 2024-10-12 05:18

I thought your game was innovative and fit the theme very well. The graphics were a nice compliment to the mood of the game as well. The comments after each level tho, did not make much sense, but were mostly funny. Nice game.

brendan-milos 2024-10-12 21:20

Really enjoyed the tiny creature items in this one! The puzzle design on the levels ramped up nicely in the first section. The controls felt a bit floaty and I found myself pressing space to jump, but that may be a me problem. The audio clips were strange, but funny!

pado 2024-10-13 13:51

Please... Change the jump to the space button...

pimeko 2024-10-13 19:15

Cute puzzle game, appreciated the funny sound effect for each interaction and an original mechanic. Nice game!

itsboats 2024-10-14 07:39

awww yis! I didn't realized how the hand worked until the very last level, the first 2 that used it I was like wthecks this is too much rngs lmao still managed to get through them by some miracle xD

loved the lil d00ds and the interactions, it kinda reminded me of that mosa lina game

Amazing art and puzzles! Everything felt incredibly well polished, and the voice acting was incredibly well done. The only thing I really had a problem with was the physics - jumping felt really floaty, and movement felt almost too responsive. Other than that, I had a lot of fun playing and discovering what each creature did, great job!

daniel-finch 2024-10-15 19:28

Such an interesting idea and very well made! There's so much attention to detail in such a short jam

rincs 2024-10-16 14:10

What a fun time. I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles and trying to solve the stages in different ways! Cool beans!! :3

That rockin' music tho!! (sus :P )

decadedecaf 2024-10-18 10:13

up we go! :D

Absolutely adorable and hilarious. Such a great time the whole way through with some extremely unique physics puzzle mechanics. And the MUSIC, too! It's all so goofy in the best way possible. Loved every second of this. Great work, y'all.

joer 2024-10-21 08:29

Turbulent idea, dude!

sleepystudios 2024-10-24 20:35

Super impressed by how much you managed to pack into this game! From the intro cutscene to all the levels, it was really well made too. Loved the puzzles and the fact that there were multiple ways to solve them too. The voices and creatures were so fun, nice work!

flyingkaida 2024-10-25 01:13

OMG Mothman!!! Was great seeing him used in a game! However I wasn't good enough to get too far in the game lol. Was a fun ride while it lasted!
