Fun little game :) Loved the ending

xparker 2023-10-03 15:17

too bad about the sounds, otherwise a very nice game. love the warp mechanic.

fivecyclops 2023-10-03 15:46

Simple, but good. Need more visual. Good ending "cinematic"

chaineddreamer 2023-10-03 22:20

It was simple but the game made me feel something. solid entry. I had the same problem with audio in my game. I didn't have the time to implement it. so I feel you.

danjoricey 2023-10-03 22:24

Very cool teleport mechanic, very nice fit with the theme, and the art and animation at the end is just really nice, well done!

smiley405 2023-10-03 22:28

the game concept is good. got a chance to see the ladybug at the end. yah a music would have added a different feel to it.

@thelastslowpoke @xparker @fivecyclops @chaineddreamer @danjoricey @smiley405

Thank you for playing, and especially for playing until the end!

Actually, I'm not sure if it would be fair to add music now. I would really like to infuse the game with a slightly more pronounced mood.

@diralf Changing the Jam-Version would be a bit much IMHO (i.e. the rating should be done with the original release). Adding a new, additional, Link to a post-jam version is OK, as long as it is clearly stated that it's post jam (not to be rated).

My take on things though...

The game was pretty straightforward, interesting mechanic would be nice to have the level challenge the mechanic in some way.I like the cutscene and reveal at the end too.

I played and finished your game but I couldn't get into the mood of the game

spica 2023-10-04 16:50

Really simple game with a cute character design (I mean it, while being minimalistic as hell it felt really cute and alive). Interesting take on the platformer genre by prohibiting jumping and giving wall hack instead. And the ending... that was unexpected and really pleasant! Short but powerful experience. Good entry (but please, add music next time!).

hinamarina 2023-10-05 00:17

Wow! I really liked your game! The ending really got into me, its really beautiful! Loved the mechanic also, is really fast and there's room for a lot of cool uses to it! I think some music would give the whole experience a lot more intensity, but it was really nice to play it. Very short but yet indeed very powerful! Great game! :)

@xparker yep, sounds good, thank you! I'm currently working on an extended version with some things I had to cut from the Jam version, such as an introductory mini-cutscene/animation. And, of course, music. I'll upload it separately from Jam version later on.

diralf 2023-10-05 14:35

@beats @inumenor @spica @hinamarina Thank you playing and your feedback!

This greatly motivates me to find time and finish what hasn't been done yet.

p-zzz 2023-10-05 23:22

I like that it turns into a ladybug at the end.

annabl-grant 2023-10-07 11:51

Really enjoyed this little game!! Just wish it was longer

treenut 2023-10-07 12:03

cute short game. I like the design, it's simple yet full of personality. And the end was very pretty.

sleepymenace 2023-10-07 12:06

I found myself disappointed by the lack of additional levels, and I mean that in a good way. I wanted to play more and find out how devilishly tricky it could get. You made a nice little proof of concept, and I'd love to see where you take it. Well done!

thebooksnail 2023-10-07 15:40

Love a single click mobile compatible game. Great entry. Would have loved to see the collapsing mechanic for more of a puzzle.

lebossmax2 2023-10-07 16:53

The game is short but has a lot of potential. I like the design of the little bug and the teleport mechanic is nice

t90 2023-10-08 02:09

Cute little game! Absolutely loved ending animation.

lincolnsalles 2023-10-18 03:45

How interesting, I went for a very similar walk too, using a bug and also super short, cool. Like you, I didn't have all the time but I did everything I could in the time I had, without sounds either. I liked the insect and the graphically super simple scenario. Cool that you're working on a post jam version. I'm doing that too. I really liked it, very well.
