A nice little racing/shooting experience. Really nice job on polishing the graphics and sounds -- feels like a complete thing, save -- perhaps -- for a bit of balancing on the difficulty.

That's a tidy package you've put together. Crisp graphics and sound, and 6 levels with 3 difficulties. I'm impressed! The steering was a little tough, and shooting was scary as each shot would reduce the level. Medium was hard enough, but for fun I switched to hard and got whooped, haha. Nice job.

Good game and good polish. +1

Great game! would like to the the looping tied into gameplay, and have some gameplay reason to go around the track. really fun.

Great game and great polish!

Super clean, fun mechanics, and a really impressive amount of content. I did the medium difficulty on the 1 and 6 tracks, but probably should have tried easy 😅 Awesome job

Great game, well polished. Love the graphics but the music doens't fit very well with the gameplay imo. I really enjoyed playing it!

matchamaze 2020-10-05 23:24

I liked the visuals! The main tanks colour could change a bit, so it doesn't disapear in the grass. The music need to change! It gets annoying fast. :/ Would love to see a multiplayer version and/or where you actually need to finish x amount of laps.

Loved the concept of this. Have to carefully think about each shot since that will make the game more difficult. The music didn't match the gameplay at all though.

I had a good time with tank-spleef. I appreciated the interesting way to make a non-violent tank game and also the effect it had that the game difficulty ramps up inherently just because the terrain vanishes.

Everything in this game looks super polished! It's such a tight concept and execution, so everything combined really makes it feel like something that was made over a month or two, not in a weekend. The graphical style is very cute, the tank tracks left behind when you move were a nice touch. Great job!

Really well made game! So fleshed out and a lot added to it! Could imagine this in multiplayer being really fun!

✔️ The visuals of this game look absolutely amazing, definitely the best I've seen in the compo so far.

✔️ There is also an insane amount of content with the 6 tracks and 3 difficulties.

➖ I feel the camera movement could use some work, I ran into enemies that just appeared on screen a lot.

This is pretty neat. I like the drifting. There seems to be a lot packed into this game with 6 levels and 3 difficulties. If this was something I bought off ebay, I'd give it a "A++++ would recommend"

aquanim 2020-10-08 11:53

The movement controls feel really smooth and satisfying and the art style works well. Definitely feels like a complete game, nice work :)

Wov. The execution of the game feels very good. I like a lot about it. Visuals are nice and merge well with the gameplay. The music somehow makes right mood (upbeat), but I think it could be improved further otherwise I would like to turn the music off. The gameplay is really fun, but sometimes it is very difficult or luck based (I don't what better fits). I also impressed that you've made difficulty levels, a leaderboard, different maps and it is all in a combo entry. It is amazing! I've only one complain that the gameplay become repetitive very quickly and also you may easily fall into a hole. I guess you had a ton of fun of making the game.

its so joyful to blast those red tanks. really good game

This game had a smile on my face the whole time. Reminded me of Off Road for the NES, except with guns and dropping floors. Really dug this title. Tank controls aren't my favourite, but it feels nice when you're whipping around corners. Also loved that there were so many different levels to pick from.

...I mean, I was horrible at most of them, but I really liked that they were there.

Great work!

cjgladback 2020-10-15 00:05

I'm extremely bad at these controls, but I can see it being a fun game were I better. One small thing that might help people who struggle as I do would be to have a bright-ish arrow on the front of the tank pointing forward. I kept getting majorly turned around when firing while turning and just having that directional visual element to focus on (versus just the darker rectangle on the back) would help a little bit. As is, I greatly appreciated and used the volume controls (obviously making them visible on screen would be a bonus), and I liked watching other people play.

Haha I thought "track" in " ... that will try to destroy you and your track!" in your description was a typo of "tank", but no, the track actually gets destroyed! The music and the graphics really give the game a finished look.

The tank drives well, but I wish my turning circle would be smaller, since I have to avoid so many holes and enemies. The tank looks quite a lot like the green squares, but perhaps that is tank-like, to blend in. However, I wish the front and the back of the tank were a bit more distinguishable, since sometimes I lost track of which direction I was going after bumping into something. Then I also noticed that steering backwards was the other way than I expected from a tank.

You made some interesting levels, and I like the mechanic of the moving finish line to different places. I wish my score was visible while playing, to see if I was improving my previous score. I did miss some sense of achieving/finishing a level.

Overall, really well done!
