Neat concept.. although it didn't feel like i could 'master' the looping at all, just waiting for it to randomly make something un-stoppable. If there was a way to work a loop (or at least something more discernable.. sometimes there were nice loops, sometimes not), then it would feel a bit stronger
With a simple game like this, I think some visual and audio feedback would have done a lot to keep the player engaged. Some sound effects on bounces, maybe some size changes on the ball hitting the paddle, that kind of thing.
Great job! Liked the multiple balls and the paddle movement.
Wow, this is a great entry, I look forward to seeing where you go from here!
I think when you have a single ball it can feel slow to get more, would be nice if there were items or something to counteract
I like the idea of modifying the direction of the ball. Even thought I think is too slow an hard to hit both balls when the second one appears, it is challenging, nice work!
The balls come back down in too quick succession, it's often impossible to reach more than one unless you're really lucky. Staggering them a bit more would be good. Also, when you lose balls, bringing the new ball wait counter to a lower number would be good, I was at one point waiting for the one ball to go through 80 loops before getting a second.
Good job on completing a game for Ludum Dare!
This is fantastic! It's a really cool combination of pinball and pong! I'm glad you're making a second version of it with some polish this could be super cool! I wish that you could see the loops constantly and that you could aim better so that you could target where you sent your balls to better space them out, I often found myself having to abandon a few balls since they were just too far away, or I found that I had two balls that were following the same path a second or so apart so it was super easy to keep them both alive. If I could aim at the loops and I knew how long each loop would take I'd be able to use the different timings to split them apart and juggle more balls and thus get more points! That and a little polish and juice and it'll be great! Super cool!
The generation of loops felt rather random and impossible to influence to me. This made it feel like a solo Pong with multiple balls.
Being able to stack balls whenever they get in the same loop was somewhat rewarding.
I think it's a nice start for something more developed.
The Loop-Shot mechanics look really neat, I played until about 500 points. Sometimes based on where the balls landed it was impossible to save all of them. I feel the game link should be "Web" rather than "Source Code" to clarify it's the game. The font and color scheme make the game look really slick. Good job and good luck with devtober!
Really nice new aproach on something everybody has played before. I coun't really hold more than one ball consistently, yes I got 3 balls to bounce 5 to 6 times, but more I couldn't handle. Also because even if the balls were practically together, they were separated by the tubes in the middle and braught back down to the same time, which made it impossible to hold both of them. Also it get really boring with one ball but increasing bounce numbers to get another one. So maybe you could decrease the necessary bounce numbers if there is only one ball in the game. I agree with @Nikolaj that sound would have made the game complete. Thanks for the fun!
fun game, loved the concept and wish there was a sound/music would totally change the game atmosphere( but that's just my thought). had fun playing.
