So addicting, thanks for those sweet memories of a perfect childhood. Nice polishing!

Interesting premise, but it could've used a bit more direction. At first I had no idea how to control the feet (intuitively I expected WASD or clicking, so simply dragging the mouse was unexpected), and once I did know how to control it I didn't know what my goal should be (avoid the ants? kill the ants?). Imo a score counter/game over system would do a lot for you!

I do love the polish you've got going on (timing the stomps to the music is a great touch), just would've loved something added on to the main mechanic.

Great! I initially thought the feet were trying to crush my cursor. Really like how they are synced to the music. Simple and well polished.

Graphical style is sick. Loved how quick it was, moreish to play.

unagiv 2024-10-08 14:37

I can't confess that i had a great time :D

marilou 2024-10-08 14:40

love the concept and scoring at the end is very engaging ! but oh my god poor little ants

bumble 2024-10-08 14:42

This is such a small but well defined, straight to the point idea - I really love it! Together with the polished implementation by syncing the rhythm of gameplay and music and the applied shading it really makes a very good jam entry! Marking the 'two types of children' in the highscore list is also a nice touch

Encountered some offset bugs; I was playing on a 21:9 screen, and it seems the CRT effect is misaligned. The mouse also doesn't seem to control the feet very well (not sure if it's because I have multiple monitors). Nice music and a satisfying stomping effect.

A fun and very simple game, reminded me of the microgames from the WarioWare collections. %)

Had fun playing it :smiley_cat: I'm an ant smasher giant!. Loved the crt filter effect used in the game and the music really fits the game. Good job.

The filter and effects are super cool! This is great for being your first 2D game, especially as a solo developer. Kudos!

Great game. I really like the fact that you can choose your gameplay being a good kid or a psychopath and either choice has a score. The feedbacks are awesome and the controller is really fun, smooth and original. Really nice job !

What a surprise that the game supports both styles of play! Felt a little heartless for going genocide route.

Why doesn't the boy simply stop walking I have to wonder.

abex 2024-10-09 23:24

I am the greatest ant killer!! (as of now, 273 or something). It's an amazing game that I couldn't stop playing until I got a high score. I also love how you included both playstyles. Probably one of my favorite games so far.

The groove added so much to the experience, incredibly addictive game. Great job!

krisss-gonko 2024-10-10 08:39

Omg I love the concept! <3 And also whoopsies I didn't know there were 2 play styles #GoPsychopath I guess \(^^')/

Great idea. We really have the feeling of someone walking, when moving the steps.

It's a little confusing at the beginning. The full-screen button doesn't work, we don't know if we must or if we must not squish the ants. By the way, it's a really cool idea to let us the choice squish/not squish.

Maybe you should fix the typo in the title: "Tow" -> "Two". It will definitely help us to realize we can choose between squishing all the ants or not squishing them.

The leaderboards are confusing too. It would have been better to have two leader boards. One for the squishers, another one for the not-squishers.

I did not understood either when the leader boards appear, and why it does not appear just when I click on a button, like in every other games.

I really love the sound effects, especially the fact you made all of them with your very own mouth.
