This game is so sad in the best way, I love the story and art so much and I want to know more and see more of this world, the gameplay gets a bit stale but it's interesting to discover what choices cause what actions through a single playthrough, and the game feel is incredible. Thought it was a little unintuitive at first that there's 1 round for each character you control but it made sense in the end. Overall, Great job!

The art is beautifull! Gameplay for me is a bit unclear, at first it's hard to figure out how it all works, maybe some gifs with gameplay would help to understand it all faster. Would be nice to have more feedback from the game, I think even adding sounds would help with it. Feels like the game just needed more time to polish (and if that's the case oh boy I can totally relate to that  ), but the idea is interesting, and all looks really nice!

This is a nice little tactics game. I think the artstyle is very strong and I agree that it's pretty sad. I would have liked a little tooltip or something to explain the mechanics of the 3 abilities. I'm assuming that you're meant to lose pretty quickly, but I think it would be more engaging if the balance were tweaked so that you could survive a little longer. The AOE of your abilities is tiny compared to how fast the fire spreads, and I'm not sure why movement takes an action. It doesn't seem to give much benefit since the fire moves so much closer every round anyway. Also, I prefer the zoomed out camera that is shown on the fire's turn. It's nice to see the whole map at once.
Really good job!

The art is incredible ! It took me some turns to understand the mechanics because there is no tutorial.. This is really nice and fit the theme. Congrats

This game looks quite attractive, but could use some balance. The fire spreads very quickly / broadly, and the abilities are not sufficient (at least not obviously) to contain the fire. I managed to survive for around 30 turns on average. Some mechanics that could have helped are ability upgrades, not penalizing movement, wider area of effect, or ability chaining / combos.
It got my attention because of the art style. It's so nicely done that made me want to play it. At the start, it was very confusing to play, and even after understanding what was going on, i thought there was something missing, like some animation or effects to know what i did.

Very cool game ! I didn't figured out how to beat the game, I survived for about 40 turns :p
I survived only 47 turns. I liked trying to survive as long as possible but defending seemed a bit too hopeless, because after the first few turns the fire was just spreading too fast
only figured out the gameplay after doing a random clicks. but once i understood the strategy, it got interesting. just an info, when using WASD to move the camera, would love to have the camera follow the direction with an ease-tween instead of move-n-snap effect. Overall, has a really good atmosphere and graphics.

Cute art, it's so sad when we are the only one left surrounded by fire
A description when hovering powers could have been nice (or add them in your ldjam page)
But well done :)

Very nice Astethics, love it, gamplay is also very nice. What i didnt like, which is minor, was that no where was describen what is what, because i first couldnt get what the 3 symboles meant. *Or maybe i'm just blind. But good Job.

@pikario Thanks for the feedback! Yeah it's definitely missing a tooltip like many others said as well. I just added a quick description in the ldjam page. We should have done that earlier. Thanks for the suggestion!

Art and theme are really beautiful albeit the ending is sad. The game is quite hard though, providing more options for the player and making different layouts could be fun !
Great game !

The visuals got me so impressed my jaw hurts from hitting the floor. The art is just GORGEOUS!!! The best I saw so far, just absolutely love it, 6 out of 5 <3
The title is perfect ofc as it reminds me of my fav meme. this-is-fine_custom-dcb93e90c4e1548ffb16978a5a8d182270c872a9.jpg
And judging from the game concept, you were thinking of that meme as well.
I was a bit confused on the gameplay though. Went back to this page a lot, reading about controls and figuring the game out. In the long run you could add little names&descriptions to spells. As I am very unobservant, it seems, I also didn't realize right away we have turns, active characters switching - a short tutorial at the start of the game will be a nice after-jam addition!
I did slowly figure out what to do, but it seems the fire reaching the garden is inevitable anyway, which makes the game pretty depressing (it's not a con, I don't mind a depressing game, just sayin), so some anxious/dramatic music could be a great addition for when you add sounds. Say, you start with a more peaceful melody with some hints of anxiety, but then it escalated as fire grows closer (if it's possible to do ofc, just an idea).
+ Overall, not only art and UI are stunning, you also implemented the theme perfectly and created a unique and interesting gameplay. Really enjoyed this one!
