Love the idea of our weapon also being our movement tool. Could get more intense a bit faster though. Otherwise, good idea, good execution. Can become a full game as fullmetal said above.
wish i could rate the sounds they deserve a 5 , really scared me at the start of the level , good job!

Very cute little game, I liked the overall gameplay feel.
Really fun! Great arcade action, very impressive for a jam game. LOVE how the gun is used for both offense and movement. Awesome sense of humor and absurdity, loved the "9 lives" counter.
My main piece of feedback is to make the "speed up" mechanic more meaningful. There are edge cases where speeding up while you've swung to one side or the other will get you past obstacles, but for the most part I used it to get through the empty areas more quickly.
But honestly, that's a small nitpick for a great entry! Could definitely see this built out into something bigger, but even as a jam game, it's a big success.

@dan-mcalister Thank you for the kind words!! :smile: I got the idea for the offense and movement thing because I wanted a gun that could so something other than shoot. :x I'm glad you liked the idea and the humor haha.
Noted on the speed up mechanic thing! I could probably modify some of the rooms to reduce empty areas and tweak how the speed up thing works to make it more aligned with its intended purpose of giving the player more 'maneuverability' to avoid certain obstacles.
Thanks again for the kind words and advice! c: I'll probably look into updating the game after the PLAY+RATE thing is over and add in the some of the suggestions and feedback given. :D
What can I say? You can't really go wrong with cats and shotguns.
Joking aside, the dual purpose of the shotgun is a great idea and works really well in practice. Not only can you shoot to maneuver out of dangerouse situations, but shooting (at ghosts) is also the thing that brings you into those dangerous situations in the firstplace.
Interesting little game with interesting mechanics. Took a little getting used to but definitely worth it.
Shotgun cat. I love it. It gets quite crazy after a while. I got to 519m. The main menu could do with an exit button.
Meow, I want everything in here to be in mice order or else SHOTGUN!
Very cool concept. I really like Lt. Catnip and his mission to keep things in line.

I really love this. It's a very interesting mechanic and the game is very juicy. I wish there was some music!
