Hahah so the game never ends? Nice idea reminded me of inception, would be great you can extend it to be simulations within simulations. The graphics is nice. Also the bomb seems to do nothing.

I guess the key to the game is, to break out of the loop... :P
The gameplay was nice, interesting storyline and the theme was well implemented, kind of reminded me of the old Star Trek holo deck.
I feel like the jumping could have been a bit more intuitive.
I would not have increased the x value of the player in the air, when the jump button was released.

The zombies had some pretty cool sprites though. I could totally see this mystery being more complex as well.
Enough of the negative stuff, I had fun, and I hope you had, too!

There is an ending! It was awesome to find out that you can actually win the game... It was really fun! :)

Funniest game I've played yet. Great work on the writing. The animations were a bit camp but hilarious at that.
The only problem I can come up with is the initial zombie attack. My instinct (and I doubt I'm alone) when I see an NPC continuing to talk, is to hear them out to the end or until they start looping, just for the fun of reading the dialogue. In this case, this meant that before I even started playing the game I knew the exact solution to the puzzle and the boss's weak spot, which detracted from the fun of figuring things out. A really quick solution would've been to make the attacked scientist wait a couple lines before changing to something different ("press x to fire" could stay on the screen while I pressed z 9 times, and only change on the 10th).

Thanks for the laughs. :)

Awesome game! Loving this little story going on!

rob 2016-12-12 22:56

This was really clever. It had that same satisfying, twist-in-the-tail feeling as a good short story. I love how there's more to it than meets the eye.

Being unable to turn in the air was mildly frustrating, but that's a minor point. Excellent game (and a great take on the theme).

ludipe 2016-12-13 00:24

Really cool concept. Took me a while to figure out how to break the loop. Well done, it's awesome! :-)

mrwillowb 2016-12-13 04:53

This blew my mind

zarkith 2016-12-13 15:34

Not being able to turn in midair made the boss pretty tricky to kill. Took me a few tries to get the inputs right, but thankfully you didn't drag the fight out, so I think it ended up as a decently challenging ending to an excellent little entry. :)

tijn 2016-12-13 19:08

This game is hilarious, haha. A clever use of the theme too!

Well done on a great entry :D

rnlf 2016-12-13 22:43

Very cool! I really like the idea and use of the theme. Took me a bit to figure out in the beginning, but once I understood it, it was not too hard.

The controls are a bit unusual in that you cannot jump and then accelerate left or right, like I'm used from all my platformer experience :)

The music produces a super wacky mood. Plus your typical humor. I love it!

Nice pixeling on the Mona Lisa, btw. I thought for a second this was a Jam entry and you just copied it from the Internets.

I recorded a full-length video of me playing the game, I'll release it tomorrow (together with two other games), then link you up :)

Fantastic entry! First of all the graphics are great, really cool animations. Incredible that you had the time in only 48 hours.

I really appreciate how the game tutorializes so well, just some very smart game design over all. There are so many fun plot twists (That I don't want to spoil) but I can say that there is an ending to the game, even though it took me quite a lot of looping around before I figured out what to do. Great humor as well, had me smiling a lot :)

Simply amazing!

c4m 2016-12-15 16:04

nice!! the concept is great, and the game controls feels so good... congrats! one of the best entries that i played.

mantlair 2016-12-15 19:11

Jumpers from Left 4 Dead! I loved it. I loved the scenario and final gameplay. Neatly done!

kualitygames 2016-12-15 21:37

That was cool! Very innovative and actually pretty funny aswell. Good job

athelgs 2016-12-15 23:52

I like how this went. I must admit, it took me 3-4 "simulations" to find out that there was a door at the "most obvious" spot. The boss was also a nice charming edition. All in all, a fine game indeed :-)

srcn 2016-12-16 14:11

Omfg this game totally got me what a twist!

warmlemon 2016-12-16 19:02

rotating mustache FTW! 5/5

neontropics 2016-12-17 13:56

Great twist on the theme! I liked graphics and the glitch effects, also the dog-like jump of the zombies was great

m2tias 2016-12-17 16:49

I have to admit, if I hadn't read the comments, I would have quit playing the endless loop :D
That's such a great twist! Great boss battle too. Can't say anything constructive :(

aurel300 2016-12-18 01:40

Not bad. A bit too simple / short maybe! The music when talking to the scientist was pretty nice. Other than that, not being to move after jumping was a bit annoying, especially for the finale.

naca 2016-12-18 03:43

Great work man! While not as crazy funny as Disarranged (which is actually one of my favorite LD games ever), this one is also a good entry. I finally managed to get to the ending :)

karai17 2016-12-18 09:57

As usual, great job! Loved the sfx, dialog, etc. Solid pixel graphics. I had a lot of slowdown in the big room - probably some big optimization issues considering this is a love game - might want to look into that if you make a post compo. Awesome job!

royalcivilian 2016-12-18 17:04

Great game, probably would have never found the boss if I didnt look at the comments thou. Still a good game regardless. :)

jezzamon 2016-12-19 11:19

Haha, this was a fun game! Great as usual, sheepolution!

mango-malarkey 2016-12-19 19:00

Well, it took a long time for me to realize that you can move the character.. imagine how long it took to break the loop and then kill the boss? Well, there are spoliers in the game, and in the comments. Great game though!

euske 2016-12-22 08:45

I like how the game is easygoing and a bit derpy (sorry for the lack of proper wording). The ending was anticlimactic but it kinda fits the game's atmosphere. Good job!

g12345 2016-12-27 15:12

I couldn't kill the boss, but otherwise it's really lovely.

Well done!

alexrose 2016-12-27 23:16

I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME, DOCTOR COPTER.

I think if I didn't know you I might've assumed there wasn't a game after the simulation was over, but I'm glad I assumed there was more. It was fun. Liked the music, liked the boss.

oddly-shaped-pixels 2016-12-29 13:04

Man I feel so dumb no being able to escape :DD
Great game, cool humor, nice concept, superb work!
