I really like this one!
That's great! Really I could spend hours doing this!
LOTS of fun! http://leonardo.frozenfractal.com/#12x5_red_yellow_blue,%7B%22cards%22%3A%5B%5B1096%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C552%2C0%2C0%2C1026%2C192%5D%2C%5B0%2C1088%2C0%2C1058%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C320%5D%2C%5B328%2C208%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C520%2C808%2C576%5D%5D%2C%22colorIndices%22%3A%5B0%2C1%2C2%5D%2C%22wheelStarts%22%3A%5B0%5D%7D
wow! cool puzzle game. It seems that the screen is cut off for later levels because there's no scroll bar. It'd also be great to have a little intro to explain where you're eventually headed. Even just a hint saying "there's more operations that you see here".
Really great game! Interesting mechanic and difficult puzzles. Shame I'm terrible at them ><. Really nicely polished though! Well done~!
@smerino: Interesting solution, I hadn't thought about that approach!
@NoTrueSpaceman: Made a post-compo fix for the scrollbar, thanks. I had noticed, just didn't think anyone else would ;)
Yep, a really nice little game.
Wow such a brilliant idea that works so well as a game. Well done.
Really cool programming puzzle game, and well made
best entry of this LD so far!
Such a well implemented and polished mechanic, though part of me wishes that there was an erase all button for the placed holes for the many times I reset my progress on the puzzles
P.S the share button is brilliant!
Oh boy, a polished, well-made Zachtronics-esque game? I could spend hours in this!
@studdert249: Yeah, sorry about the lack of a clear button. The thought occurred to me, but I prioritised other features. You can drag across with the right mouse button (or with left, when starting on a hole) to erase somewhat quickly.
Great game! I love it
This is my kind of game :) Only complaint is that editing the cards can be quite tedious.
Amazing concept. +1
Nicely made. I completed the first 5 levels, but I felt it became a bit tedious once the counters appeared.
Awesome!!! ahahaha, love this game, really.
Great game to pass time and train your focus, the UI is very intuitive.
Very great. I love Zachtronics style game, so I realy enjoy this. It become hard very fast, but it's prety fun.
Incredible and smart game :o. One of the best entries so far.
Cool, ancient pixelart!
This game is mindblowingly good. I can't believe this is a compo entry, good job!
Quite interesting! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36 games, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/VSGUm6oLKPM
Loved it! great idea.
This game is so awesome!
I loved everything about it. The idea is great and nicely coupled with the backstory (the fact about how many punchcards were used to paint the mona lisa was funny ;).
The graphics are great and it controlls really good.
I am really enjoying this so far. Only critique is that the first couple puzzles were confusing from the tool tip "Move the brush right if possible, or start reading from the right" -- kind of implies that if you cannot move further right, you will start reading instructions to the right. Later becomes clear that there's a special command to alter direction. Minor rewording may help there. Thanks!
This was brilliant. Right-clicking on the wheel's initial value only brought up the standard image context menu for me, on chrome osx.
Ok.. That's a fantastic concept and a very polished puzzle game! Graphics are good and the reflexion get quite hard aha It only lacks some sounds and music to complete the experience, and it could easily become a retail game imo!
Very well done :D
@bigalphillips: Yes, I should have made the wording context-dependent (depending on whether jump is available yet or not).
@tenpn: Thank, fixed the right-click thing.
@David Cookie: No time for any of that, I'm afraid!
What a great game again, @Frozen Fractal! I really enjoyed playing it. :) So far I got half way. :D In the first level I got confused, because I thought that I also had to paint the middle with white paint, since there is an option to change color.
Very polished entry, especially for a compo game. -A
Great job! This is actually really fun to play, and your warning is entirely accurate - bookmarking this for a not-almost-bedtime playthrough.
This is a lot of fun, and well-made too!
Very polished game! Nice animations and love that you can speed it up! Will come back and finish this :)
This is spectacular! I love Zachtronics games (I made a SpaceChem/Infinifactory style game for miniLD 69), and this is really well made! I am currently on level 8 (the one after the sandbox) and will definitely continue playing. I'd love to see a downloadable version with audio.
Also, @smerino this is my solution for that level, it uses 44 holes and only takes 218 cycles. http://leonardo.frozenfractal.com/#12x5_red_yellow_blue,%7B%22cards%22%3A%5B%5B1088,514,514,514,512,1056,320,0,0,0%5D,%5B0,0,0,0,0,0,1088,1056,876,576%5D,%5B320,514,514,514,514,514,514,802,1024,0%5D%5D,%22colorIndices%22%3A%5B0,1,2%5D,%22wheelStarts%22%3A%5B7%5D%7D
