LD36 — Ancient Technology

Trireme by MarekkPie 2016-09-19T12:51:00

Fun idea! Very impressed that you got music and sound effects in there - I ran out of time to do that >_>

Emily Morrison's Garden by Ludipe 2016-09-19T14:21:00

Very pretty. Cool music. Played through 5 times and still don't understand the whole seed/season mechanic, though :/ Would suggest doing a level system or at dry run as a tutorial so we slower folk can learn the game.

Crystal Skull by Gord10 2016-09-19T02:06:00

Wow man, really cool! Enjoyed the playthrough :)

Happy little trees :D

Of Health and Madness by studdert249 2016-09-19T13:28:00

Like the choose your own adventure concept. Huge props for getting in music!

Artefact-O 36 by SamuelSousa 2016-09-19T13:58:00

Great that you had a playable game! Someone's a Braid fan, eh? ;P

Biggest improvement would be sound. Also, level 8 was really hard!

Roman Defence by KitiJenGames 2016-09-19T13:19:00

Cool concept! Props for getting some music in.

Baba Yaga by Azlen 2016-09-19T13:06:00

Nice use of sound effects. Also a hilarious premise; I love learning about other cultures, so bonus that I had to research the character and learned something new.

Crucifixion by Lon 2016-09-19T13:12:00

Thanks for the feedback on mine! Bleak theme >_> Really like the mechanic, though; it was very obvious after the first play-through what the color change indicated, and the animation was incredibly smooth. Makes me want to learn Processing :)

Babel by johnbjuice 2016-09-19T14:03:00

Amazing! Second game on my Best of LD36 list :)

Can you actually beat it? I type really fast and I think I got pretty high, but after dying and there having been no checkpoint I find the prospect of playing through from the beginning a bit offputting :/

It Started Out With A Brick by peterthehe 2016-09-19T13:24:00

Would definitely make a good screen saver. Nice music. Would have liked some sort of interactive element, even if it's just a score board telling me which member in the generation has the highest fitness ("score").

The Stones of Kelzi by XAND 2016-09-19T13:00:00

Very impressive for a compo game! Props for getting feedback sound effects in. Also really liked that you put thought into the story, e.g., making up Kelzi words in some of the prompts.

Leonardo's Painting Machine by Frozen Fractal 2016-09-19T02:25:00

Great job! This is actually really fun to play, and your warning is entirely accurate - bookmarking this for a not-almost-bedtime playthrough.
