Hey, BrothersT! Thanks for the helpful criticism. You make a good point about the objective being unclear and confusing and we'll see if we can fix that (We're planning on releasing a polished version of this game next month). We realized the second point while developing the game during Ludum Dare, but we didn't have enough time to fix it during the event.
Again, thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it! :)
@Miltage: Yeah, we have some weird anti-aliasing problems with the web build. If you download the native client it should render correctly.
@Kayelgee: The buttons at the bottom right are meant for researching upgrades for your fighters, bombers, and icbms (you already have basic versions of these units when you start)
We did indeed take some inspiration from DEFCON and I would have liked more time to make the tutorial, hahaha. I more or less slapped some images together and I didn't have time to make it better.
The camera was probably the worst thing about this game. Maybe instead of having the camera look at the edges, it would have been better if the camera was pointed toward the center of the arena instead, if that makes any sense.
On another note, I'm running windows 8.1 and I could run it just fine.
I got 25,888! It would have been nice to also see where the mouse was previously for each of the trails; it would make it a lot easier to tweak the trajectories.
The game doesn't load for me; the loading bar reaches a certain part and then it stops.
There is no submission here.
I couldn't find the person :( Pretty hard game, but a very interesting concept.
I heard him say "Thank god you're here, I don't know how long I've been stuck down here", or something along those lines.
Animations were surprisingly good but the movement controls were a little frustrating and could have used more work.
