As I said on the stream, I love the art, and I can see a bigger game hidden in here. Very ambitious, and would love to see more out of it as time goes on. Awesome entry!
Oh man, so cool! Found the hidden treasure, and used that money to buy the map, which told me where the treasure was! Awesome work man, amazing!
So at first it was way to difficult. But that was when I was playing full screen. I noticed that the seconds survived was a lot longer than I was actually playing. Outside of full screen mode, it played at a much more reasonable pace. Really nice game, interesting stuff, and a good beginning.
Streamed it in this video.

@steve I honestly don't know. I haven't done anything special with my graphics card driver. I have two 1080s in SLI with GeForce 381.64 drivers.
I agree with @Rombus here. The button press timing with the jump is nice. Overall, challenging, and I liked the escalation of difficulty as you went through. Ladders were a bit tough to see the first time, but after that, easy to recognize. Also, checkpoints! Awesome work with that. The graphics and the audio went together well, too. Great stuff!
What happens to Ricky? I must know! You can't leave us hanging like that!
@tobico Thanks for that feedback. I actually considered adding a sound element to the change, but I didn't have time to do it the way I wanted to. Thanks for noticing the unique shapes, too!
@Maldo19 Hehe, the pixel was actually made smaller from my original concept, and it's also about 20% faster than the shapes and colors. That being said, yes, there situations that can make you feel like you have no way out. While technically it's not true, it's not easily apparent in the game. I've started working on the ability to teleport (which would use up the green color), shield yourself (which would use up the blue energy), and shooting (which would use up the red color). Though, in playing it with the teleport and shield abilities, I feel it takes away from the simplicity. I'll probably end up messing around with the timers of the color spawners.
Anyways, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate knowing where the frustrations in the game are.
@schizoid2k Yeah, I was hoping the sound would make that apparent, as well as the visual aspect of it. I really wanted the game to teach you without forcing you to go through tutorials. But in hindsight, that first level doesn't make anything obvious.
Awesome man! I especially love the artwork!
Was a lot of fun. Loved the quick and easy nature of it. Had a bit of trouble at the beginning realizing the darker moles were dead, but after that sorted itself out, I was just having fun moving from one places to another. The buildings are a nice touch, and add to the challenge as you have to remember to move around them. It was challenging and fast paced.
Thanks!
Oh wow! That was awesome! The style is just spot on. And the music, I'd love to know how you made it. Just really well done. This is my first LD, and just seeing things like this, what people can do in 48 hours is awesome.
You asked about balancing. My first game ended quickly, as I ran out of food very quickly. I was still trying to figure out how everything worked, but that's fine. After that, I focused on building farms. I could turn food into tools, and once I got that going, I had a surplus of food always ready to go. Not sure if that's intended, but as long as you have lots of food, the game becomes just a matter of time, even with the diseases. I barely noticed them.
So my second game took 47 days with 0 deaths, 10100 food gathered with 4700 tools gathered.
Still, awesome game!
Interesting idea. Control scheme wasn't a big deal. Wish there was scoring or objectives in some way. But I like the concept and idea. An interesting take. Good job!
Was a fun and simple game. Lots of guys and just shooting them was fun. However, after 10 mins, they were just attacking the middle and I was standing there watching them and nothing happened. Regardless, good stuff!
@blockerz Thanks! Yes, the voice over was long, but I figured it was just a one time thing, and I made sure to let you turn it off in the settings (which also pushed me to add the difficulty scaling). I'm glad you like the "movable for a cost" thing. Also, yes! Glad you appreciate the radar! Grats on the time!!!
Music was interesting, yay, but the gameplay felt fairly lacking. It was missing something. Maybe crunch, or something that made it feel like you were doing actual damage, or any sort of scaling. Also didn't really figure out what the bar at the top was intended for. Great music though!
Hey, this was really good! Simple, effective, and met with the theme. Would have loved to see more monster variety, but yeah, I get it. I loved the powers, and the steady increase in difficulty. Good job!!!
Loved the art style. The drawing aspect and clapping part was interesting. Loved the idea of skipping to increase difficulty. Awesome work!
Really like the interesting art style, and the way the sunlight worked. Just a really interesting game with a unique style. I think it has potential. Awesome stuff!
Cute game. Loved the graphics and the sound, it worked great. I think the pushing mechanic is a bit confusing. Never got it to work, nor did it feel like the repairs ever worked wither. Regardless, definitely a solid foundation for a game here.
Really loved the idea here. The concept seems simple. Hard to see things visually. Appreciated the fact that you could use the light to track where something was as it approached you by recalling it. I think it needs tuning but overall really awesome idea and game.
Awesome work. Loved the graphics, thought they fit very well. Loved the challenge of managing multiple characters. Thought there could be some interesting strategies of sacrificing someone to get some distance. Great work!
Interesting game. Not crazy about the shooting controls, but it works. Pretty fast paced and wonderful simple little game. Awesome work!
Sorry, does not work on ultrawide. Good luck!
I enjoyed the game, was fun. I always enjoy the tower defense style games. I think it needed more balance, but realize that's hard to do in 48 hours, awesome work otherwise. Yay!
Overall, interesting concept. Wish you could rotate farther to the left in aiming. Otherwise, I like the idea. Wish there were more tracks, or at least a longer track with maybe more targets. Good stuff!
Wow, that was awesome! Great graphics, music fit, and it was fun. The controls were the biggest let down. Would have loved to see better controls, but that's a minor thing that can be fixed. Overall, great job!
Interesting idea. Was pretty freaky, but I liked it. The window was oddly shaped though for me. Not sure if that was intentional. Also, not sure if the monster takes any damage, it wasn't clear if shooting actually did anything. Still interesting idea and loved the atmosphere.
Made it to 33? Liked the concept, felt it was a bit odd, couldn't quite figure out the balance, but otherwise, great graphics and an interesting idea.
Great for a first game! Awesome spells and effects. Wish the tower wasn't so tall, running up in circle wasn't fun. Also, the spell covered a lot of the screen making it hard to see. Otherwise, great job at a your first game!
I like the concept. I'm not crazy about the control scheme, but I can appreciate that's part of the design. I like that not every asteroid is aiming at the planet means you have to be selective about what you are going to shoot.
