I can't even imagine how I would go about making these spells, great work and love that you stopped by to say Hi and have my play it on my stream. Cheers, be proud of this game :)

This is overall an okay first game. The graphics is also okay, and the face orbs was fun. I really liked the music. Sadly it was really difficult to hear the start dialog. Overall an okay litlle jam game.
Nice idea, though I found it a little tricky to get around, maybe a sprite button would help?
The place where the spell fires from seems to be a bit too low, I was trying to shoot the things at the top of the tower and had a tough time of it because I had to angle really far upward.
Are you supposed to shoot from the top of the tower or leap off and fight the orbs from the ground? As a bit of a frantic rush to get back up the (very tall) tower hoping I've got enough health to last after capturing souls to heal it kind of worked for me.
I like the surreal aesthetic of this game a lot. It feels like a strange and magical place. The odd face balloons are great.
Gameplay wise had a rough start as I thought maybe I could not shoot, turned out I was pointing slightly at the ground which seems to prevent shooting. Was a bit confusing.
Nice voice acting. I think the origin for your projectiles might have been placed too far below the camera because the projectiles get destroyed instantly if you shoot while slightly looking down. Otherwise good job :)
Game was unplayable. Locked up my computer. Not intuituive at all. Sorry, brother but has issues
Love the faces on the enemies, felt like the spawn point of the projectiles was a bit low so kept hitting the wall while trying to peak over (maybe make the projectile spawn a child of the player, then you can place it higher, probably eye height)
It burns my laptop. Why? Enemys funny because of sillienes of their look but it is hard to play
Funny game, well done on your first game some solid stuff love the voice over very cool, worst aspect is fact you shoot low / don't have a point of reference for what your aiming at would improve the game a lot. Still well done and good luck on future games
The real question: whose face is that?
Ominous orb and voice acting set an atmosphere, a good start. Gets tedious fairly fast though; gameplay needs more mechanics and polish to keep people playing
@jibberwocky Both, Once I submitted I realized an elevator would've been cool, too bad I didn't think of it sooner
@lokt02 Sorry, Unreal Engine 5 uses Lumen for lighting which requires a lot of processing power.
@roryh my face lol, I ran it through a cartoon filter.
Hello Kiba,
I loved the gameplay it was very nice. The voice acting/ sounds effects fit the game and created a good sense of atmosphere as well.
A few things I would change, 1. the stair case was a cool idea but a little too much movement for me as a player/spinning creating an unpleasant movement up the tower. The art was okay, I think that more time could have been put into texture work.
Loved the idea of selling should, protecting the tower and having some upgrades. Amazing work :D
Great for a first game! Awesome spells and effects. Wish the tower wasn't so tall, running up in circle wasn't fun. Also, the spell covered a lot of the screen making it hard to see. Otherwise, great job at a your first game!
Nice to see an Unreal Engine game :). The movement is pretty smooth, but climbing that damn tower is such a struggle. If you made the enemy's spawn faster as time went on then that would make the difficulty of the game scale nicer. But overall, nice job!
Not bad for a very first game! Well done!
Pretty fantastic job for a first game. It functions, which was better than my first attempt. Love the particle effects, took a second to realize the player shot was affected by gravity but we got there.
I very much enjoyed the talking tower haha
there is interest from the gameplay, but little. In addition to low FPS, I can note that simply shooting balls for a magician is probably in short supply, it was possible to add some kind of lightning that would shoot when it hit this place. The particles of the trail of the ball, as I understand it, were the same fire, only blue, I would suggest changing to other particles, because it looks not so cool when one type. It might also be worth adding some kind of vegetation or environment than just flat grass, it would also be cooler, and even without a hand, but some kind of stick, so that there is a feeling that you are playing for a magician. Overall, good for a first try.
Congrats on your first game ever! Let's hope it's the first of many!
I agree with the comments here, climbing the tower felt like a chore and being unable to shoot off of the tower made me sad. But on the other hand you've got a functioning gameplay loop in a functioning game, which is always good! If you continue to work on this, I'd look at adding more variety to both the spells and enemies, and avoid the tedious task of climbing the tower (or at least make it more interesting, if you need the downtime for balance reasons)
Love the ambiance. A problem on my laptop : all is so red, the blue sky only appears when looking up far the tower. BTW Good first try
Nice first try! And you start with the easiest engine, UE5! I see you like challenges. I had some bugs, idk why in some parts I couldn't shoot or at least couldn't see the blue fire. I couldn't hear correctly the talking in the beginning. Well done and keep on the gamedev adventure!
Loved the ambience. Good work for your first game!
