At first, the help screen was overwhelming to me. But I tried the game, and the game itself made more sense ^^
I got 44 coins when winter arrived, but not enough for a tv :(
What I enjoyed:
- After a few days of playing I understand to mechanic of the game well enough to enjoy it and want to reach the end. - The graphics and music a fitting well the atmosphere of the game. - Farming and growing cows! Yheaaaa :D - High quality coding, no bug at all - Good intuitive UI
What I disliked a bit:
- The locked windows resolution, the game was very small on my computer, and resizing the windows cause the game to crop the top and bottom of the map - The help screen, I feel you could split the help screen in multiple page, so it's not all at once, and the player knows where to look first. - I didn't understand why I was loosing money each day, but I guess that's life
Overall this is a really cool game! Thanks and good work!
-- The land is ploughed and full of seeds.
Outstanding job! I can't believe how much content you fit in this game. Its very polished, flows nicely, relaxing, and a overall fun game to play. This would be great for a phone game!
As someone who enjoys these kind of games this game is awesome! The art style is fantastic and while the game is daunting at first with its large plethora of options, I was able to quickly start building up my farm. The game is very relaxing and peaceful with a nice soundtrack. Very nice job with this!

Pretty fun game. However, I didn't get very many crops to plant and way to many tools. I don't know if I was just unlucky but you may wan't to adjust the appearance rates of the cards. Otherwise good work.

This game took a minute to figure out, but then it turned into a great little puzzle game. I missed that you had to drag cards into the world to build them and got really stuck on trying to figure out how to use them for a bit.
I finished with 36 coins I think? I didn't do well at all but I defintely wasted my first few days plodding around.
It's a really good thing you included that help screen! The polish is great here, the graphics are good an while the SFX are basic, they do their job well too.
Impressive jam entry for sure!

I might be Jon Snow.. I know nothing about these types of games. Fun concept although I was embarrassingly bad at it
Nice work! It took a few days to get used to, but after that it flowed smoothly. Was there music, or just sound effects? My cow was the major money maker for me.
I apparently suck at farming. No special TVs for me!
Suggestions: I didn't understand for a little while that I had to drag cards to the board to plant them. Maybe make that more clear?
Bugs: If you click on your resources (or anywhere on the HUD that isn't a button) it tries to move you there. This is a really small thing, but it would feel cleaner if clicks on the HUD were ignored.
I like the cards mixed with Harvest Moon. Very fun.
Wow! A lot of work was clearly put into this game. There's a lot of things to do, and once you've played for a bit you will start to realize some pretty neat combos with the tools, which opens up a lot of strategy. It would have been great with an option to clear your building cards and get a new "hand"; at one point I was stuck with 4 fields in my hand, and I had already placed plenty of fields! Also, as mentioned in some other comments the screen resolution is a little weird, and it seems that some parts of the UI is often cut by the screen borders. Other than that the UI is great, good looking and clean. The help screen is nice to have, although a bit more information would have been nice (actually took me some time to realize how to move around, etc.!) Overall I voted this game the highest of the games I've played so far. Great job - I love it! :D

Fun game. I like the use of action points to finish stuff. Do the fields need to be near the corn or do they just work automatically?
Thanks everyone for the comments. They're super motivating and helpful. A few respones:
re: resolution. Yeah seems a bit messed when maximizing/fullscreen. But should work with drag-resizing.
re: help. Yeah a weak point. I rushed to get even what's in there done. Definitely could be improved.
re: dragging cards. Yep, I agree that's not obvious (and a few playtests I've done post jam do too!). I think some little text popups at the right time would go a long way.
re: music. Yeah I didn't do any music, not my strong suit. The ambient track is made from an 'nature-soundscape-generator' online, lol.
re: hud-click. Yeah oops, yeah clicks on the hud shouldn't do anything.
re: hand-clog. Yeah, the next thing on my to do list was add a 'discard' option. Trashing the whole hand might be even better cause it encourages you to deal with what you have a bit more.
re: fields. The field affects any grain/vege planted on top of it.
Wow this was fun! And a ton of content too.
The graphics and overall aesthetic are great.
I really enjoyed most of the mechanics. My only gripe was I got so many tools, but could only hold onto 2. I ended up discarding one, then wishing I hadn't later. I wish there was like a 'tool shed' where you could store tools you'd already bought, and have access to them if your play style changes.
The last thing, and this could just be my incompetence, was I couldn't figure out how to add my name to the leader-board. I got a 67, which was good for like 5th place, but I couldn't seem to enter any letters with the keyboard, or scroll though an alphabet like old arcade games. Is the leaderboard actually online? Or just hardcoded into the game?
Overall, one of the best games I've played so far. Great job!
Hey awesome game! I thought the mechanic of being able to explore the area a little bit each day was really awesome. Having more things in the world to "harvest" your way to would be really cool I think.
The graphics were fitting and the sounds worked well with everything else. The point I stopped at, I still hadn't seen any stone or metal/iron so I was waiting on that but it didn't seem like I'd be getting any any time soon so I stopped, but it was a nice experience.

Really cool game, I love games where I can grow things! I fail at it irl but I fail slightly less with digital plants :P Great job :)

I wonder what the farmer did after watching GoT.

Great job, really enjoyed this. Got a final score of 78. Also never saw any iron, does that exist?
Took me a while to realize the market gave me more cards, so then I started building everything just to get it out of my hand to get more cards at the market, but then I got stuck with cards I didn't want (a couple cows that required tons of grass and I had already relinquished my scythe for a plow, but then of course I never saw another crop after that :( ). Losing an earlier tool and then randomly having that be the only tool that can help me later was annoying, so maybe it would be better to have tools be permanent, but you just choose 1 to be active for any given day (or, even you randomly get 1-2 of your unlocked tools each day).
Apparently I'm not a good farmer so no TV for me. Gameplay was fun. I really enjoyed this little strategy game. I'm not good at it but it was sure fun trying to be a farmer!
Wow, I just spent like a whole hour on this game. I ended with 61 coins so I am pretty pumped. There was a lot of RNG which was interesting, I got like 5 crops the whole game which was kinda sad. But the art was awesome, the audio was spot on, the balancing is great. Overall great game and amazed that it was made in 48 hours. And oh yea, it fit perfectly with the theme. Might not be the game for everyone but is very well made. Nice job!

This was a heck of a lot of fun. Worth scaring the pants off my antivirus for. :P Took me probably longer than it should to realize I could harvest the grass in order to move my little guy around. Once I figured that out it was pretty smooth sailing.
