LD39 — Running out of Power

Blackout by wviper3 2017-08-01T21:12:49Z

Managed to get through all 10 levels, though I think fitting the car through 1-tile gaps is a bit much sometimes (leaning slightly more towards annoying than fun difficulty)

Other than that I enjoyed it, though I felt it a little moot to have to find the flag if it's always the same spot. A small nice thing would be being able to go directly to the next level without having to go to the level-select, and being able to click the area around the number too, not just directly on it.

It's possible to softlock yourself in the "destroy nests" levels by building towers next to all the water, as it stops power-plants from charging power-hubs that are further away.

I didn't see any way to delete towers, and R restarted the entire game, not just that level

Also ran out of memory while playing, so there may be a memory leak somewhere, but it could also just have been a coincidence.

Deflection by Gnarly Narwhal 2017-08-02T00:02:43Z

Was fun, though there were some problems: * Error codes are generally one off (I'm guessing due to zero-indexing) Having zero in the first argument to Rotate crashes the game due to an uncaught ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException * The numbers around the field are a bit hard to see because they're blue on blue, something with a little more contrast would be better * It's a little hard to understand what you're supposed to write as arguments for the commands the first time, having it appear when you hover over the objects would help immensely. * It's kinda repetitive to edit stuff in the text fields, having a simple copy and paste would fix this (as you could write stuff in a different editor) * The having the lasers to go in at a specific time was a little hard to understand at first too, if you changed the error code to something like "Got laser at [tick activated], expected it at [tick it needs]" would probably fix that.

All in all it was fun to clear, playing around with a level-editor would be amazing.

Asteroid Scavenger by Blueman 2017-08-01T20:42:37Z

Nice, though it would be nice if you didn't have to stop completely to access the space station.

Another improvement could have been having it not having a hard-countdown before losing, and rather some challenge to overcome that gets harder over time.

Dodge The Box. by Xeinix 2017-07-31T20:22:52Z

Got 169 points, though at a certain point it seems like it didn't get harder.

Some energy bars spawned in impossible to get locations, and sometimes they spawn too far apart to survive (though when crates appear quicker, there seems to be more of them appearing, making this not much of an issue)

Would be nice if there was some more variation, just dodging the crates gets a little dull after a while.

Low Energy by alejandrodlsp 2017-07-31T10:08:16Z

Nice short game.

It would be nice if the first level went directly to the countdown when you restart, and some of the invisible walls are a bit too close to the ground.

Feed Me Your Files! by ITR 2017-08-01T13:04:43Z

@oliverlevay No, it just detects it if you delete stuff from your computer, it doesn't actually do any deletion.

@eremiell I'd love to, but it's a bit too much work the way it currently works. If I ever make a similar game I probably will though.

LOTS - Legend of the Teleportation Stone by oliverlevay 2017-07-31T19:58:43Z

Nice, though the mouse-sensitivity was a bit too low, not sure if there was a way to change that.
