What a complete Game!😃✨ I really enjoyed it, congrats!
Very neat game, somehow due to the routes and all that, transportation - it started to give me the feels of openttd! As I enjoy those types a games a lot, I enjoyed this quite a bit, very well done in all departments, graphics - aesthetics overall are jolly enough, though some places could have been filled with some trees or something to give more life to it, but that's just nitpicking as the assets there are great~. The music fits it quite well too. Anyway splendid job!
Great as a prototype, and interesting to manage the drones, totally could see an expansion on this! Two very minor changes could improve it a little: 1) I don't see why we have to manually specify what to pick up and deliver currently, as it seems that could be done just from picking the location 2) For the recipe menu, an image of the location would be preferrable to the names of them.
I really liked the game. Logistics games are my favorite type of games, so very nice to see this in LD as well. Did not expect it here. I liked the UI I recognise the Godot styling but it just makes it better hehe. Especially that you used drag-able windows that was a nice feature which I would have overlooked.
I could not find the recipes in game but used your screenshots. Not sure how to access them.
Bravo
Thanks a lot to everyone (et merci a tous!) for testing our Game  Your feedback is really appreciated!
@douwe-ravers the help button is a bit invisible indeed, you can find it here:

I really liked it. Transport tycoons are rare these days and it really took me back. But remind me never to become a drone traffic manager because for some reason I suck at it.
Loved having to plan routes and making things as efficient as possible, loved the cute little world, honestly the one entry I want to be a full game the most.
Adorable and very fun to play!
The graphics are very nice and the color scheme rocks. It's so restful and serene while still being juicy where it needs to. Great job!
At the start, I was surprised to discover that the produced stuff does not carry over to the next day. All my juicy vegetables just disappeared. But I caught on and in no time I had drones running around .
Controls work well and I didn't encounter any bugs. The whole experience feels very polished! I only found it strange that you can't really do anything without buying memory upgrades for your first drone. Seems like it should just start upgraded. Really great game overall!
I won without building even one warehouse. Maybe there could be different "quests" to choose from of different levels of difficulty and length. I know you can continue playing after winning (like in Civilization ;)), but without an overarching goal it's less fun. Screenshot_6.jpg
I have a fair bit of nostalgia for the old settlers games, so the idea really resonated with me. It's pretty cool to see the gameplay running as soon as you enter the main menu, explains the game before you even begin.
The visuals are lovely, I like to see the little items appear beside the buildings. I'd even stick to using item models everywhere instead of having separate icons, but I'm assuming that there was not enough time for all items.
The gameplay is solid, I could see myself playing that for much longer. The little upgrades to drones really help, because you can optimize the plan without redoing all of it.
The only aspect I think could use a general rework is the UX of making a plan. It would be more convenient to just click and connect buildings on the main screen instead of going back and forth between the drone window and the map. Overall a pretty legit entry, good job!
I liked it, and now I want burgers. it would be great to add the texture of grass, but these are small things. Good job!
WOW ! It's an amazing job that you did here ! That TTDX / OpenTTD feature of ordering the drone to either pickup/deliver items on a delivery route, thats absolutely impressive in a jam context ! Great work <3
It plays well and the programming stuff adds some depth. Cute graphics too. Very nice game!
No link on Itch for the MacOS version
Love games like this ^^ I think I found the most optimal way to beat this map. with 4 drones in 6 turns.
we need more levels \o/

also what is this??

@jaxah I don't have a mac to try but most of the time for other game people have been able to run the x11 on mac.
@rickylee :laughing:
Damn that really makes me think of Transport Tycoon.
Visually it looks beautiful, I also like the small bounce buildings do when you deliver on them, well done!
The music is chill yet active, as it should be. I just missed a ka-ching sound when money was made!
I didn't find the storage building very useful. Tried to challenge myself into finishing the game with 6 drones. Tried a looot of combinations until I nailed it after the 30+ days. I wish I could move routes instead of redoing them by clicking in places. Not sure if anyone else felt this way, but a nice quality of life for me would be automatically setting to choose a destination whenever you added a new route. The amount of times I exited the drone window because I added a route and clicked in one building right after!
The only glitch I found was that the drone in the main menu shows "Click me!" once you start the game. No big deal.?
Congratulations guys!
A very nice game! Lovely visuals, although they still could be improved somewhat (add some variation to the ground, make selecting the buildings e.g. highlight them instead of enlarging, etc). Loved that you included a mini-tutorial, although I wish those "click me" labels were larger or flashing or smth, it took me a while to notice them :) The drone menu felt a bit overcomplicated at first, but this is probably because I didn't really use their full abilities.
Speaking of that, I was able to beat the game without any drone upgrades & storage buildings, only using each drone to move a single item between a pair of producing & consuming buildings. So I guess the game needs some more balancing / more levels, so that the player has to use all those available tools.
Btw, your "HoverBites_x11.zip" build is Linux-only, don't mark it as a Mac build, it simply won't be possible to run on Mac.

I love the graphics! I think some camera movement would have been a nice addition, since everything is already 3d modeled for taking a closer look to the assets. It suits the theme very well and gets quite complex with several drones. The music makes thinking about paths very comfortable.
Gosh what a lovely small logic game! I really bothered my mind for 10-15 minutes to beat it and it was pretty fun to find out the most efficient way. The only problem I've spotted is I didn't realize that you need to deliver 3 salads to both restaurants and was not following why I stuck on 3/6.
But aside of that it's an amazing small game, good job with it!
Well, it's a really good strategy game, I adore how good it is and deep for a 3 day development time. To be honest, this concept can become a full game as a game about managing drone delivery chain. Well done.
Really cool idea! The graphics are really well done. Well done overall!
Game feels super sweet. It's pretty cool as an idea and the gameplay doesn't get boring at all. Models are pretty good. I had fun playing. Cool LD Entry! By the way, i will not go without saying that i did not feel hungry when play your game haha :D
I'm a sucker for logistics games so I loved it, kept spending everything upgrading my drones so didn't realize i could buy more drone pads until after my first 3 were fully upgraded!
I liked how forgiving the game was - it's (probably) always possible to eventually reach the goal, so the player can aim to try it in fewer days, or using fewer drones, and so on.
(not me, though, I just delivered salads for days until I had money for more drones 😅)
The game feels strategic, which at times felt a bit overwhelming for the way my brain tries to solves problems! But a nice idea, original experience. As suggested on stream, I feel having a "loop" instruction would have been interesting, as often my strategies would have involved looping (like pick up and deliver water x 4, then deliver burgers to burger restaurant for the rest of the day).
Mechanically it was nice, it was satisfying to watch the drones do their job! It was sometimes hard to predict how far through their task list they would get until you press play and watch, but then that was part of the game cycle! Good that you had a button to speed up the day too.
I like the futuristic (almost solar punk) serene atmosphere that music and graphic style creates. Nice touch introducing new buildings after player gets to know the mechanics. Browsing the daily reports was useful to gauge if I have improved the chain on the next day. Antialiasing wasn't enabled on my side - couldn't help but notice all the jagged edges
On the improvement suggestions, some fonts were too small in comparison with the rest of the UI - some more consistent UI would be nice. Would be cool to see pops coming to the burger and salad places and coming out with big bellies. Thanks for a very nice game! :smiley_cat: And, by the way, thanks for the Linux version!
I love the graphics.
The audio is pretty funky too!
Creating drones to send deliveries out is a great idea!
The building creation reminds me of Command & Conquer :D
Thanks for the Linux build! <3
Nice job :)
I knew I gotta spend a lot of time on this one. Was so happy to see you can buy more drones and drone stations. You could add some days limit to spice it up a little bit, otherwise it is possible just to repeat days to gain more money "for free".
Here is my playthrough:
https://youtu.be/t0dk_glmaas
I won by day 8, but I can see lots of room for optimization! I really liked that there wasnt a time pressure and that you had the planning and delivery phases separate
The only thing I would have liked added is if it showed the building conversions when you hover over them too, not just when you are picking one of the points.
I also loved the addition of the upgrades and being able to buy more drones + crate storage. I think it can add lot of strategy in trying to optimize your routes <3
Enjoyed the planning and routing challenges here, loved the little drone models and the building designs, definitely want to see if I can optimise the methods I was using too!
I think it would maybe benefit from some small UI changes when programming the drones - an arrow on the routes to show the direction of movement would allow for faster sight reading of the current plan, and maybe showing a slight route map of the other drones while programming so that you can get an overview of what they're all doing?
Great entry again, good luck with the results tomorrow!
