A Branch in Time by mechanicallife 2021-04-27T13:08:52Z

First of all, I believe that this game can be enjoyable and I believe you work hard for this project. But because of UI/UX problems I did not understand game at all.

The first problem is lack of tutorial. I just pressed "start" and monsters start moving to characters and hit them, while I even don't have any control. Then a question appears "Do you want to play as?" and suggested answers: Yes/No. If I press "No" than I am just looking how heroes are dying gradually. If I press Yes - a lot of buttons appears and no tutorial is provided of how to use them.

Like, Heroes 3 and 4 are my favorite games, it means that I am familiar with such concept of fights. But the "turns" or "rounds" are not obvious. It is hard to understand how to make a turn and, I don't know why, but monsters are making their moves before I pressed "end turn"

Maybe I just didn't get how to play, but I want to believe that it is not because of my IQ, but because of lack of instructions.

Overall, the game is pretty enjoyable. It has surprises sometimes, which pleases. I am sure that you can make a good game using it as a prototype.

Talking about main pluses: - It is interesting to explore your world - Interesting problems to solve (like throwing saw)

Turning to cons: - It is not obvious how to use some control, of example ground attack - A lot of bugs need to be fixed. Like I stuck under a beam few times. Ones I jumped on platform I died.

Wish you good luck in improving the project.

@poweranze, Yes, lack of good evidences is a problem. I am sure this could be solved easily, if we spent more than one day on a script. Thanks for feedback!

@alttabber Actually, some of those characters are developers and other just friends xD To be fair, we included sounds on picking items, on choosing your phrase..., but for some reason it works only if you launch the game from unity. We haven't solved this problem yet.
