Use itch.io to publish games

leyamez 2021-04-27 03:21

Yeah definitely look into setting up an itch page

khill 2021-04-27 03:26

Maybe I've done something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be anything after logging onto the computer. Before that though the art style was charming and I liked the music in the game. Although the subject matter was giving me anxiety, lol.

jes-draws 2021-04-27 03:51

Thanks for the suggestion guys, Ive just set up an ich.io for the game

james-kusardi 2021-04-27 04:01

i enjoyed the brief experience! it took me a bit longer than it probably should've to catch on to what was going on, but when i did, i was quite invested. Luis is a real one. :)

this is a strong story based game that I wish I had more time to explore in my live stream. i played for a good 10-15 minutes though and felt really absorbed into the game. Also very creative way to use the theme. Great job and good luck with the jam! y

A little sad story for a great design game. Loved the minigames (besides not understanding much a bout the sink and the flies), the controls are on point, the story caught me till the end. Great game, congrats

I uploaded our gameplay of your game on youtube, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=KLwrzc7DkDo&t=1470s

Thanks for being part of the stream, yesterday was amazing!

Nice art! I enjoyed the humour in the job searching minigame, and the use of tasks appearing and disappearing to show what it's like to deal with depression is pretty clever. I also like the somewhat hopeful ending, very relatable and touching as well

simpathey 2021-04-29 01:19

Nice art, hit the theme in a deep way.

mrbrainfed 2021-04-29 01:22

This hit close to home, won't lie. Loved the graphics, it was a great game!

lumous 2021-04-29 07:29

Very good, relatable, not too dark, but still pretty on point =) Never did kill those flies :(

selenephy 2021-04-29 20:48

Solid 5 game on every aspect.

Also, where can I get myself a Luis?

ahspike 2021-04-30 06:05

I think I related way to much to this game(my name is even Matt). Trying to find a job when you are stuck in depression can make you feel so worthless. You very much captured that feeling. Great job.

Very clever little game about depression. The art assets are well thought out and make for a small, but relatable world. The interactions between the characters are heartfelt and genuine. The mini games are a fun way to break up the visual novel style of dialogue. Nicely done!! Thank you so much for bringing this by my stream. Oh man, this definitely managed to capture the depression feeling... Nice job on this one, guys. I had an unfortunate experience that I'm not sure can be blamed on you, it might be due to my own resolution settings, but I haven't had the problem elsewhere. When I played, the edges of the screen were cut off, which notably prevented me from reading the third line of any dialogue. The fact that I enjoyed the very story driven game despite that I think is a testament to the way you managed to capture the mood everywhere else, so congrats!

An eerie, atmospheric game. The gameplay is simple, but nice. The graphics are well done for a first jam game. The music is nice to listen to and doesn't get tiring. The biggest selling point of the game is the narrative. The story is well written and presented in a good way. The main character seemed pretty relatable. I really hope he got a good ending to that story. Very good game, I recommend everyone who likes narrative-driven games to play it!

That was quite the mood. It really is a feat to manage to tackle this topic with accuracy without overly relying on text. The writing even used humor in a way that reinforced compassion for Matt. Good job!

[Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007626304?t=03h10m14s)

This came across as a very personal project, which I always love to see in LD entries! The premise was simple enough, and the art really brought everything to life. I do think that some of the sound effect mixing was a little off, and really hurt my ears at some points, but other than that, this was a very solid experience.

It's tough taking on a game about depression. Usually we play games to escape such feelings, but this game does the opposite. I admire what you've done for sure, and I don't think this game is meant to be fun. And that's alright. It's an experience that makes you think and reflect, and in that, it's a big success.

I liked that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and the game didn't just end on Matt remaining depressed. Luis seems like a very good friend to keep around.

That's the kind of game you should play when you're stoned. I think that a good weed will be a good incentive to go all the way.

I didn't think I was growing cannabis to use it for such purposes, but I'll be honest, the articles I read were read by me for a reason. With the help of https://maxsharvest.com/common-cannabis-growing-mistakes/, for example, I began to understand the mistakes of growing marijuana. Now I can enjoy some good weed.
