LD46 — Keep it alive

Sheep Keep by Kevin Barrios 2020-04-21T04:01:30Z

really nice atmosphere! wish there was more stuff going on, could see myself playing hours of this :)

Anibun Help Me! by aeveis 2020-04-21T06:54:34Z

i love love love the art! just such a great vibe, would love to see more of this

MAKE A WISH - A Star Journey by MAYFury 2020-04-21T04:35:43Z

this is really, really cute and wholesome - feels both hopeful and melancholic somehow! love it!

Keep 'em Alive: Retro by mobiledev 2020-04-22T03:15:55Z

cute! honestly don't completely get all the mechanics, but the art is real stylish :)

Firekeeper by thomas-olsson 2020-04-21T07:34:03Z

insane - feels like a full game! can't believe it was made in a weekend, would be awesome to see more done with it - hope you get more recognition!

Good Squire by Eli Delventhal 2020-04-21T04:15:50Z

this is awesome! love the graphics and music, feels like a cool complete product

Wayward by ColeSlaughter 2020-04-21T07:24:24Z

a great experience, with some good thoughts to ponder about

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-05-03T06:36:32Z

a few glitches (unless they're intended!) near the beginning, where it would tell me to "hold" when i was already in one of the upgrade UIs, but it seems pretty cool - fairly unique for a clicker, love the art and the storytelling :)

TRIBE by tulipekoni 2020-04-21T03:38:58Z

this is really awesome! feels really cohesive and enjoyable only thing is that before the last wave, some of my villagers couldn't be used to do anything? still, a great game :)

OTTS & GLASH by endesga 2020-04-21T07:49:51Z

the simplicity is stunning, feels really fun and cohesive!

Flamy by Daniel Rincon 2020-04-21T03:56:11Z

cute!

Fleur Defense by SamStallion 2020-04-23T09:43:08Z

good polish, feels like a complete product - the mechanics aren't necessarily my thing, but still enjoyed it!

The Creature Dies. by senokos 2020-04-21T07:19:27Z

neat concept, and really solid atmosphere that goes hand in hand with the simplicity - would still be cool to see more features, though :0

Neighbor - a spooky pixel adventure by kristinamay 2020-04-21T03:26:48Z

text during the intro is rly small (on web version, at least) - but the pixel art is cute and the music is p groovy, definitely a great atmosphere :)

Influence by KittenFuzzArt 2020-04-22T03:26:59Z

not a bad premise for story - could definitely use much more setup, atmosphere feels heavy from the start with almost no explanation

All Systems Grow [LD46: KEEP IT ALIVE] by itsandyjones 2020-04-22T22:35:40Z

quite a solid game! i really enjoyed the controls and mechanics, even though i couldn't get very far as i'm p bad at platformers, but i'll definitely come back to try and beat it some time!

Antarctica Story by Nghia Lam 2020-04-23T05:32:39Z

loved it! kinda difficult, and the time in between deaths can get quite frustrating, but with some more polish i could see this being a really awesome game

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-05-03T06:48:19Z

the game's concept kinda blew my mind, i really wasn't sure how you were going to combine your mentioned inspirations, but it really did come together as an amazing product! it was a little confusing at times to figure out the path, but being able to choose your pathing is really neat. maybe a narrator would be really cool, to add a bit more to the game's mood? amazing overall nonetheless!

Happy Life by scalliondelight 2020-04-21T04:38:35Z

really neat concept! not what i was expecting at all, in a good way

Save the Fish by Duck Reaction 2020-04-23T23:47:57Z

everything about this game fits the concept super well - it's just really well put together overall, i enjoyed the little bit i played of it! however, sometimes my clicks do get eaten up, but idk if that's the game or if it's on my side

Royal Decree by Furqaan 2020-04-21T07:16:23Z

it's nice, kinda frustrating that there's not much that can be done about the dudes trying to stop you, but the pacing is good would also be nice to know what item you've already dropped off - two isn't a lot to remember, but can be easy to forget while in a hurry!

Little Red Riding Hood And The Good Spirit Of The Woods by Nogam 2020-04-21T07:44:50Z

absolutely gorgeous, would be cool with more storytelling but honestly the atmosphere already does so much

Just the Two of Us by C0nt 2020-04-21T03:53:22Z

feels like this could be really cool? but quite confusing, and can't click out after clicking on the slippers

A Troll-y Problem by Broccolly 2020-04-21T04:24:32Z

really neat concept! music does get a bit repetitive, but overall a neat game :)

Carry Me Through by WooshDUde 2020-04-21T04:11:56Z

wish there was at least some score system, so the running doesn't feel entirely mundane - but it's neat!

VIP: Seeds of Sin by Harry Petch 2020-04-22T03:10:14Z

hey gave this a try! it's interesting, i like the concept, especially having extra tasks, but feels unfair as the plants are quite far apart, your character doesn't move too fast, and they scale faster than you can keep up with (from how i felt)

Pass it On by Ryan Jung 2020-04-21T04:41:49Z

fun in a nonsensical kind of way!

A Knights Light by Atomator 2020-04-21T06:47:20Z

quite interesting! i feel like the darkness can be a bit frustrating, and the size of light isn't necessarily the best indicator for how many shots you have left, but i do enjoy the concept a lot :)

Don´t forget me by Joaquinm 2020-04-22T03:39:29Z

quite sweet for something so simple! loved the music and art

Sparky's Joy by Danielle Schugars 2020-04-21T04:20:39Z

this is great! feels really satisfying to become a bigger fire

Herblore by Rustywolf 2020-04-21T07:09:54Z

this may be one of the most fun games i've played this ld - something about how hectic everything is and how the controls are just janky enough that it feels really fun!

The Dark Cave by Tom Stephenson 2020-05-03T07:01:10Z

the sound system is really cool, and with some more art/sound design polish it could be a really cool game!

Crates N' Gates by HireMeDeveloper 2020-04-21T06:38:17Z

fun! difficulty is iffy, but a cool arcade-y game that has some neat potential

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Monkey Quest by paulloz 2021-04-27T21:56:41Z

a super clean game, everything fits well to deliver a great whole product! i enjoyed the whole thing, and found the mechanics really well done :)

Badger Break-In by Knatt 2021-04-27T19:46:43Z

i like the movement mechanic a lot! super slick, works well.

How I Learned to Stop Breathing and Start Sinning by Kyle Farwell 2021-04-27T22:06:46Z

good execution, i enjoyed it (although i didn't finish). some additional stuff that i feel like would really liven the game up are indications of when you get the note right (both visual/auditory) and maybe some sort of indication of how long the rhythm portion is?

The Little Boring Drill by deathray 2021-04-27T05:07:50Z

not rly sure what's going on but i really like this type of game - with more polish and maybe a guide of some sort, i feel like i could easily burn hours and hours into this game

Super Drill Diver! by Cornflowerblue 2021-04-27T03:20:23Z

suuuuper clean art, fun gameplay! running around with the drill and shooting feels great, and all the sounds work well for the mood. if i had any issues it would be that jumping can sometimes feel a bit too floaty, but i don't think it's such a big problem.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-27T04:26:24Z

super creative! a bit frustrating at times but definitely worth it

Upset Crab by 43sam 2021-04-29T16:58:48Z

like others have said, the attack can feel clunky, but something about a crab with swords hit the spot. only other thing might be that the roll's distance sometimes feels too tight. loved this! amazing work :)

Craftmine by Cal 2021-04-29T17:29:41Z

a short but sweet experience that had me wanting more! i did find the jumping sound quite annoying and distracting - with a bit more polish on upgrades/combat this would be something reaaally fun that i could dump hours into haha

Shovel Guy by NotSpaghettiGames 2021-04-27T21:43:30Z

simple but good execution! idk if it's intended but being able to place the stone blocks anywhere (including midair) means you can cheese levels, but i still had fun!

Abyss by Nomppie 2021-04-29T17:00:02Z

nice work! i feel that the gun might feel a lot more rewarding if it was more responsive or if some of the enemies (like the small ones) died to 1 shot instead of 2. also feels like there's not much incentive to defeat enemies over just fall.

Deep Dungeon Tactics by Aditya Kumar 2021-04-27T20:01:26Z

@enreh thanks! it's good to know our rebalancing worked out, balance and design is definitely something we struggle with and we're trying to get better at it! :) @cheesepencil @kylethecoder @oddsocks i'm glad you guys enjoyed it, thanks for the love!

Mineshaft Muddle by Luther-1 2021-04-29T18:13:07Z

fun! some of the pixels are kinda chunky (probably as a result of scaling), but overall a good experience

Iby's Descent by OddSocks 2021-04-27T04:55:06Z

really neat! controls feel crisp for the most part, i only wish climbing staircases was a bit tighter. the particle effects on the wand are also cool, although at some point it stops working and i couldn't get much farther than level 4ish as a result.

Deep down the Abyss by Kyrios 2021-04-27T04:37:45Z

you definitely did a great job with the atmosphere, the whole setting feels brilliant and amazing. unfortunately, i couldn't even get past the first god, mostly due to not really understanding what was going on - so i resigned myself to just looking at the art and clicking around for a little bit to enjoy the sounds (and imagine the animations :P) despite wanting to keep it more mysterious, i feel like at least some instruction (in the game) for players would go a long way!

T.O.P.O by emrod 2021-04-27T03:48:20Z

nice and simple! i enjoyed it a lot, hitboxes do feel a little bit unforgiving and i wish i had a better understanding of how the boosting mechanic worked (seems like it's just on a timer?), but overall feels good to play!

20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY by Arivenzys 2021-04-27T19:40:43Z

everything about this experience was fantastic! with more i could see this being a reaaally cool product, the voice acting especially kept me immersed. i did have an issue where if i skipped the first planet i couldn't get anything, but i loved this so much!!

AMIAPS DD: A Man In A Potato Sack Digs Deep by paetramon 2021-05-01T07:58:03Z

still in the process of trying to beat it, but the mid-game progression is the best imo - i don't mind the length, but the beginning's almost instant returning is frustrating, and the late game feels like a slog with not enough upgrades to make it feel like you're making significant progress. still enjoyable!

Forage by Cryptomnesic 2021-04-27T04:08:57Z

interesting game! i like the idea, but the movement being so wonky and constantly needing to go back to the tree is more frustrating because of it. something else that might be useful is a little bit more of an explanation about combining plants? unless you want it to be a complete mystery, which also makes sense for the game too! nice work :)

Bad Faith by Craig Cordeiro 2021-04-27T19:58:49Z

interesting story, i thought the choices you gave were often creative and interesting. i never really felt like i knew what was going on (but i was hooked!), although i might give it a shot later to see if there's a possible better ending?

Dongeons & Potions by Revetoon 2021-04-29T16:46:00Z

very fun! potions are cool, although i wish i had more of an idea of what some of the effects did. i'll definitely be playing more of this later to at least try to beat it :)

Ziggurat by nethead 2021-04-27T04:49:17Z

probably my favorite entry so far! controls feel crisp, art and sounds are good, all the levels felt sufficiently challenging but solvable! amazing work :D

Dig It Out by Threaded Lama Digital 2021-04-29T17:06:03Z

interesting work! i enjoyed it a fair bit, between the flavor of the bg characters and the silly pricing of things - could definitely be something players could sink hours into with upgrades and such, but that's also probably not rly the point of the game.

Deep in the Graveyard by AndyKSWong 2021-04-29T17:11:24Z

really really impressed! i loved the strategizing that came with the simplicity of the game, although it seems like the zombies move randomly which can sometimes screw over the randomizing. i do like how fast-paced it is, and like the whole package

Depths of Mind by Syliris 2021-04-27T04:01:45Z

i enjoyed the brief experience! it took me a bit longer than it probably should've to catch on to what was going on, but when i did, i was quite invested. Luis is a real one. :)

DAYDREAM by JohannAlfeu 2021-04-27T05:17:44Z

pretty neat, story seems sad but fairly well written and definitely interesting - couldn't get very far due to my poor platforming skills, but i like the music and general vibe. the differences in art style can feel a bit jarring at times, though.

WHITE RABBIT by pedsm 2021-04-27T22:16:28Z

the graphics are cute, but the jump felt a bit...sticky at times? it felt a bit unresponsive. i didn't finish, but i enjoyed what i played, and might give it another shot later!

Vax Quest by not-tomo 2021-04-27T03:42:50Z

very fun, feels like a very classic bullet hell with a relevant twist - i feel like i'd like another button for shooting, because while i like being able to play with one hand, it doesn't always feel like the most comfortable setup

Golem by TobyMurray 2021-04-27T03:12:47Z

i love the concept!! the gameplay is also really fun, it does feel a bit difficult and i feel like shooting isn't always straightforward (but i definitely could have missed something), but i definitely think this has a lot of potential to be something super dope!

Comatoast by crow_seeds 2021-04-27T21:20:47Z

i can definitely see how this would hit a spot for some people's sense of humors, but unfortunately the humor wasn't for me. i did find the platforming somewhat interesting and pretty enjoyable, even if it felt quite difficult at times!

H.M.S. Rustbucket by PlaskiJakDeska 2021-04-29T17:40:29Z

i really liked the art and music, but couldn't seem to get the game to work?...i'll have to give it another shot later, not sure what the issue was :/

H.M.S. Rustbucket by PlaskiJakDeska 2021-04-30T04:01:43Z

@plaskijakdeska i was only able to interact with the modules with one of the players (whichever one starts on the top floor), although doors worked fine - i wonder if i'm missing something aha

Crystal Mites by Dan Fornace 2021-04-27T22:32:54Z

i loved it! the bouncing mechanic is hard to get at first, but once you get a hold of it it's sooooo fun and satisfying :D
