i love love love the art! just such a great vibe, would love to see more of this
this is really, really cute and wholesome - feels both hopeful and melancholic somehow! love it!
cute! honestly don't completely get all the mechanics, but the art is real stylish :)
insane - feels like a full game! can't believe it was made in a weekend, would be awesome to see more done with it - hope you get more recognition!
this is awesome! love the graphics and music, feels like a cool complete product
a great experience, with some good thoughts to ponder about
a few glitches (unless they're intended!) near the beginning, where it would tell me to "hold" when i was already in one of the upgrade UIs, but it seems pretty cool - fairly unique for a clicker, love the art and the storytelling :)
this is really awesome! feels really cohesive and enjoyable only thing is that before the last wave, some of my villagers couldn't be used to do anything? still, a great game :)
the simplicity is stunning, feels really fun and cohesive!
cute!
good polish, feels like a complete product - the mechanics aren't necessarily my thing, but still enjoyed it!
neat concept, and really solid atmosphere that goes hand in hand with the simplicity - would still be cool to see more features, though :0
text during the intro is rly small (on web version, at least) - but the pixel art is cute and the music is p groovy, definitely a great atmosphere :)
not a bad premise for story - could definitely use much more setup, atmosphere feels heavy from the start with almost no explanation
quite a solid game! i really enjoyed the controls and mechanics, even though i couldn't get very far as i'm p bad at platformers, but i'll definitely come back to try and beat it some time!
loved it! kinda difficult, and the time in between deaths can get quite frustrating, but with some more polish i could see this being a really awesome game
the game's concept kinda blew my mind, i really wasn't sure how you were going to combine your mentioned inspirations, but it really did come together as an amazing product! it was a little confusing at times to figure out the path, but being able to choose your pathing is really neat. maybe a narrator would be really cool, to add a bit more to the game's mood? amazing overall nonetheless!
really neat concept! not what i was expecting at all, in a good way
everything about this game fits the concept super well - it's just really well put together overall, i enjoyed the little bit i played of it! however, sometimes my clicks do get eaten up, but idk if that's the game or if it's on my side
it's nice, kinda frustrating that there's not much that can be done about the dudes trying to stop you, but the pacing is good would also be nice to know what item you've already dropped off - two isn't a lot to remember, but can be easy to forget while in a hurry!
absolutely gorgeous, would be cool with more storytelling but honestly the atmosphere already does so much
feels like this could be really cool? but quite confusing, and can't click out after clicking on the slippers
really neat concept! music does get a bit repetitive, but overall a neat game :)
wish there was at least some score system, so the running doesn't feel entirely mundane - but it's neat!
hey gave this a try! it's interesting, i like the concept, especially having extra tasks, but feels unfair as the plants are quite far apart, your character doesn't move too fast, and they scale faster than you can keep up with (from how i felt)
fun in a nonsensical kind of way!
quite interesting! i feel like the darkness can be a bit frustrating, and the size of light isn't necessarily the best indicator for how many shots you have left, but i do enjoy the concept a lot :)
quite sweet for something so simple! loved the music and art
this is great! feels really satisfying to become a bigger fire
the sound system is really cool, and with some more art/sound design polish it could be a really cool game!
fun! difficulty is iffy, but a cool arcade-y game that has some neat potential
a super clean game, everything fits well to deliver a great whole product! i enjoyed the whole thing, and found the mechanics really well done :)
i like the movement mechanic a lot! super slick, works well.
good execution, i enjoyed it (although i didn't finish). some additional stuff that i feel like would really liven the game up are indications of when you get the note right (both visual/auditory) and maybe some sort of indication of how long the rhythm portion is?
not rly sure what's going on but i really like this type of game - with more polish and maybe a guide of some sort, i feel like i could easily burn hours and hours into this game
suuuuper clean art, fun gameplay! running around with the drill and shooting feels great, and all the sounds work well for the mood. if i had any issues it would be that jumping can sometimes feel a bit too floaty, but i don't think it's such a big problem.
super creative! a bit frustrating at times but definitely worth it
like others have said, the attack can feel clunky, but something about a crab with swords hit the spot. only other thing might be that the roll's distance sometimes feels too tight. loved this! amazing work :)
simple but good execution! idk if it's intended but being able to place the stone blocks anywhere (including midair) means you can cheese levels, but i still had fun!
@enreh thanks! it's good to know our rebalancing worked out, balance and design is definitely something we struggle with and we're trying to get better at it! :) @cheesepencil @kylethecoder @oddsocks i'm glad you guys enjoyed it, thanks for the love!
fun! some of the pixels are kinda chunky (probably as a result of scaling), but overall a good experience
really neat! controls feel crisp for the most part, i only wish climbing staircases was a bit tighter. the particle effects on the wand are also cool, although at some point it stops working and i couldn't get much farther than level 4ish as a result.
you definitely did a great job with the atmosphere, the whole setting feels brilliant and amazing. unfortunately, i couldn't even get past the first god, mostly due to not really understanding what was going on - so i resigned myself to just looking at the art and clicking around for a little bit to enjoy the sounds (and imagine the animations :P) despite wanting to keep it more mysterious, i feel like at least some instruction (in the game) for players would go a long way!
everything about this experience was fantastic! with more i could see this being a reaaally cool product, the voice acting especially kept me immersed. i did have an issue where if i skipped the first planet i couldn't get anything, but i loved this so much!!
still in the process of trying to beat it, but the mid-game progression is the best imo - i don't mind the length, but the beginning's almost instant returning is frustrating, and the late game feels like a slog with not enough upgrades to make it feel like you're making significant progress. still enjoyable!
interesting game! i like the idea, but the movement being so wonky and constantly needing to go back to the tree is more frustrating because of it. something else that might be useful is a little bit more of an explanation about combining plants? unless you want it to be a complete mystery, which also makes sense for the game too! nice work :)
interesting story, i thought the choices you gave were often creative and interesting. i never really felt like i knew what was going on (but i was hooked!), although i might give it a shot later to see if there's a possible better ending?
very fun! potions are cool, although i wish i had more of an idea of what some of the effects did. i'll definitely be playing more of this later to at least try to beat it :)
interesting work! i enjoyed it a fair bit, between the flavor of the bg characters and the silly pricing of things - could definitely be something players could sink hours into with upgrades and such, but that's also probably not rly the point of the game.
really really impressed! i loved the strategizing that came with the simplicity of the game, although it seems like the zombies move randomly which can sometimes screw over the randomizing. i do like how fast-paced it is, and like the whole package
i enjoyed the brief experience! it took me a bit longer than it probably should've to catch on to what was going on, but when i did, i was quite invested. Luis is a real one. :)
pretty neat, story seems sad but fairly well written and definitely interesting - couldn't get very far due to my poor platforming skills, but i like the music and general vibe. the differences in art style can feel a bit jarring at times, though.
the graphics are cute, but the jump felt a bit...sticky at times? it felt a bit unresponsive. i didn't finish, but i enjoyed what i played, and might give it another shot later!
i love the concept!! the gameplay is also really fun, it does feel a bit difficult and i feel like shooting isn't always straightforward (but i definitely could have missed something), but i definitely think this has a lot of potential to be something super dope!
i can definitely see how this would hit a spot for some people's sense of humors, but unfortunately the humor wasn't for me. i did find the platforming somewhat interesting and pretty enjoyable, even if it felt quite difficult at times!
i really liked the art and music, but couldn't seem to get the game to work?...i'll have to give it another shot later, not sure what the issue was :/
@plaskijakdeska i was only able to interact with the modules with one of the players (whichever one starts on the top floor), although doors worked fine - i wonder if i'm missing something aha
i loved it! the bouncing mechanic is hard to get at first, but once you get a hold of it it's sooooo fun and satisfying :D
