This was really great, would love to see you continue it after voting is over! The sound and music worked well and gave it an interesting atmosphere. Well done!

Very cool idea, good execution! Loved the music too.
Loved the art! All the fish looked so good, and I really liked the subtle god-ray effect on the edges of the swimmable area when you get near.
@jujuformatic @aofekiko thanks for the feedback! I definitely may have gone overboard on balancing it to be a bit grindy, should have had some more friends playtest it while I was developing. Post ludum dare voting I may go back and re-balance and work on the falling speed, thanks for playing!
@the-white-kiwi thanks for playing, and especially for beating it!! I made some late changes to the balance in a final bug fix that seem to have gone too far in the wrong direction re: how many gems you get and how powerful the iron upgrades are. I really appreciate your feedback!
Fun game! The mouse sensitivity was a little unwieldy, I changed it on my mouse so it wasn't really a problem, just a note! Loved the art, it took me an embarrassingly long time to find the notebooks haha
Very cool concept, and pretty good execution! I had some trouble with being able to hit enemies with the sword, I think once they were on top of me the sword's collision didn't intersect with the enemies anymore. But very cool game, I really enjoyed it!
This was so cool! I loved the main mechanic. I got slightly frustrated with the collision, I expected words that I step on to reveal their effect but it felt like if I let my head get too close to any dangerous words they would trigger as well. Absolutely would like to see more of this game in the future.
The graphics, audio, and mechanics were great! I didn't quite understand the relation to the theme, I think because of how the story was presented, but still good work!
This was great! The art and sound worked together well, gave the game some good atmosphere. Thought it was a nice touch that light increased/decreased depending on your depth in each level, rather than having a set brightness for each. Good work!
Very cool mechanic with the double pickaxe to climb around! The art was nice and I think it controlled well. It would have been nice to be able to turn the flashlight off, as during the climbing sections it was too bright bouncing off the wall directly in front of me. Great work!
Really cool, enjoyed the art, atmosphere, and especially the whale sounds on that first bridge section. I thought the wait time between shots for the rifle was a little long for the damage it was doing, I ended up fighting the waves with the pistol just because I could shoot faster. But I really liked it! Was cool to end up underwater for the final fight
Loved it! Very good art, interesting gameplay mechanic, and lovely ending. Great game!
Love the art and music! The bouncing is a fun mechanic, and I like how the same-color level serves as a bit of tutorialization before reaching the checkpoint and actually having consequences for how bad you are at bouncing. Great game!
@whysguy52 It's all almost completely randomized, so there will be times where the trapdoor (that block in the middle of the room) does spawn right in the first room when you walk through the doors. The trapdoor shuffling algorithm does prevent it from moving to the same room as you, but sometimes you'll move to the same room as the trapdoor. So that's probably why you fell through the floor seemingly without reason. I tested a solution to that problem but I've had some friends encounter it, so seems my testing wasn't quite good enough. Thank you for playing though! It was definitely a learning exercise in Unreal, but hopefully it was at least slightly enjoyable too :)
Very fun! Eventually I made such a mess that I just couldn't deal with what I'd created and had to stop playing 😅 but it is well put together and executes on the premise very well. I was very surprised when I unlocked conditional flingers, I didn't expect that kind of depth to the mechanics! Overall a great game, maybe I'll try to be more organized and get that victory statue one day
Really cool concept! Executed fairly well, though my first attempt I was given three seeds that produced three souls that were either broken or had negative traits, and it all ended as soon as it began haha. But on the second attempt I had more success. Very interesting idea to have to manage good vs bad traits within your own "inventory" and the spirits. The mood and aesthetic were fantastic.
@riesyeti @mika314 @d3kryption @caeonosphere thank you so much for trying it out! The finished game will definitely include updates to how the player and camera control, we're currently experimenting with things to make sure it's frictionless from beginning to end!
