I dug so deep and got so many gems, but in the end, I still ran out of energy :)
Great game haha. Took me a second to figure out why I was returning to base but once I did, I needed to upgrade myself ASAP.

Game look nice and the idea itself is interesting.
Nice farming game, but the gold take too many energy to mine, it make the game quickly boring after some minning.
The time to get back in the max depth is also so long, I mine 2s at 600 of depth for almost 30s of falling because the 1000 diamond upgrade is too expensive.
Nice ideas for the shop, the diamonds upgrades are very usefull and can keep the game entertaining.
interesting, (and somehow balanced) game idea - and a time waster ;)
Nice try, but I honestly didnt enjoy myself much, the game was too grindy for me, you start with too little energy and find yourself digging 5 blocks at a time, you would expect it to get better once you get upgrades but thanks to the slow fall speed it actually just takes as long for you to get back to the place you have been before after repsawning, I know there's an item that returns you to your latest spot but it honestly costs too much to be worth grinding for.
Making the fall speed faster and generally balancing the game would make it quite fun, but at this state its just a shell of what it could be.
@jujuformatic @aofekiko thanks for the feedback! I definitely may have gone overboard on balancing it to be a bit grindy, should have had some more friends playtest it while I was developing. Post ludum dare voting I may go back and re-balance and work on the falling speed, thanks for playing!
The game was very grindy, but I found myself becoming addicted to upgrading my miner. Although the game itself being grindy, it was very fun to play and the mechanics were very smooth :) Good job!
felt a bit grindy. tried getting a few upgrades before deciding to just dig straight down to try to find better resources. ended up with the majority of my time spent just falling only to dig a couple blocks. presentation / mechanics were well-done though, and with some balance changes, this could be a reasonable game
Screenshot (52).png I did it, I completed it. I think that makes me qualified to talk about this game. Overall, it was a good game to mindlessly play. The upgrades were too expensive for what they gave you. For instance, it costs 50 iron to reduce the energy cost by -0.6 which doesn't have much of an effect. Once you get the teleport upgrade, you can just non-stop mine which is what I used to find the brother.
To be fair, it was addictive and well-made. My main two takeaways are that it 1. Took too long to get upgrades that had minimal effect 2. The character sprite looked out of place
Fine game otherwise
@the-white-kiwi thanks for playing, and especially for beating it!! I made some late changes to the balance in a final bug fix that seem to have gone too far in the wrong direction re: how many gems you get and how powerful the iron upgrades are. I really appreciate your feedback!
Good game but a bit too long
still in the process of trying to beat it, but the mid-game progression is the best imo - i don't mind the length, but the beginning's almost instant returning is frustrating, and the late game feels like a slog with not enough upgrades to make it feel like you're making significant progress. still enjoyable!
This was surprisingly fun :) A little bit grindy once you get to gold but there isn't much time for balancing in a 72 hour jam Well done!
Very cool game. It was a little hard to get started because the resources were so scattered and I didn't have enough energy. Other than the balancing, the game was really fun.
Cute game. :> The mechanics are very cool.
Not gonna lie I cheated to get all of the upgrades. The teleport is absurdly expensive and without it the travel times are agonizing. This game really would have benefited from a faster and sharper upgrade progression. Everything you get should change the way you approach the game.
