A really nice experience !

miningape 2020-04-20 22:15

I really like this! Put it on the playstore for a few bucks or with ads! Good luck :)

blaiserascal 2020-04-20 22:29

This took a long time to load in unity webplayer, but when it did, it was an enjoyable art game! Very atmospheric. I loved the little drawings of the creatures. I'm not sure what it has to do with the theme, though.

doodlebrisk 2020-04-20 22:32

Absolutely amazing. It honestly made me cry. A very nice contemplative experience. I see that you don't have "audio" as a category, but the music still fit very well. The forest, the figures, the art style, all amazing. It reminded me of Sylvia Plath's metaphor of the fig tree. 10/10. I'm curious to see other people's paths.

kimkillaqueen 2020-04-20 22:54

"wait, this isn't the way to Baskin Robins"

Such a wonderful game, a lot of us are going through hard times right now and a lot of the words in this game really resonated. The art and presentation is fantastic.

Expanded I could see this could be a great game on its own. :purple_heart:

ariake81 2020-04-20 23:40

outstanding, totally original and great replay value! love it :)

mowemax 2020-04-20 23:49

Controls a bit wanky some times, but otherwise, game is great, from the idea to the graphics! Totally new experience, keep it up!

ignacio-zamorano 2020-04-21 01:15

Beautiful game!

slimabob 2020-04-21 01:23

Absolutely gorgeous game. Very relaxing with wonderful audio and a great message. Kind of reminds me something I'd see on armorgames. Good job y'all! Looking forward to seeing what your team comes up with next time :)

tom-stephenson 2020-04-21 01:32

A really interesting concept and nice experience that allows for multiple playthroughs. The controls are simple, yet intuitive. Seeing a map of my path at the end was a nice touch which made me play a again; to my surprise the experience was completely different to the first playthrough!

bernard-bumblebutt 2020-04-21 01:56

Beautiful!

chicken-castle-artwork 2020-04-21 06:04

I really like the mood and immersivness. I am on a Mac though and the right click didn't seem to work on your online version. I bet if I had of been able to collect those ping pong it would have been amazing. The cover picture made me think it was spooky but it's really relaxing and the music is good.

james-kusardi 2020-04-21 07:24

a great experience, with some good thoughts to ponder about

horus 2020-04-21 07:41

Damn I need this game to stop being real with me. First playthrough I just went in a straight line, only straying for orbs that caught the corner of my eye. And man the game hit me with some thoughts for it. Music was done beautifully, the notes hitting after every orb was really nice. The whole atmosphere that was built was really awesome. This game really accomplished what it set out to do. Good game, gonna go rethink my life.

jordyfornow 2020-04-21 07:59

Wow the atmoshpere in this game is amazing, I was really amazed by the graphics accomplished in this short time. I was wondering however what it had to do with the theme, I was wondering if you should keep the persons alive or keep the "forest" alive but coudn't really figure it out. At a last note I want to point out the really suttle and amazing sound track. Thank you for this wonderfull experience.

gnx 2020-04-21 14:37

Great atmosphere with so many little details in both visuals and sound. This game transported me somewhere else for a moment, and for that I commend the team :)

steambrain 2020-04-21 18:55

Not sure if I got what you were trying to do with the game - colored gates? What do they mean? What's happening? But it was fun to play and re-play to take different paths and see it whole. Nice art and fittings sounds surelly helped with setting the mood of mystery and otherworldliness.

azzure 2020-04-21 20:53

Wow... that was amazing. Great job!

gus-the-shark 2020-04-22 00:56

This was a great experience, it's my kind of game. Very immersive and beautifully realized. However, I have to say I could not see much of the theme used in this, which is a bit disappointing considering how good the game is.

zerohbeat 2020-04-22 01:02

Very interesting and unique game. Really enjoyed seeing the path at the end. Didn't realise that there was more than one, until just now reading the comments. Really cool game. The art was very beautiful too!

guardaro 2020-04-22 01:06

Very interesting! Full marks for innovation. I don't know if I would call it a "game" so much as an "experience", but it's really cool! The music gave me weird vibes of hearing recordings played backwards... kind of eerie and unsettling. The moment at the end that reveals your entire path is brilliant!

ladmiester 2020-04-22 01:19

Its a really unique experience, the audio just fits with the mood of it all, and the graphics are amazing. I didnt really get where "keeping it alive" fits into the whole thing, but its a really good experience nonetheless!

drewg8 2020-04-22 01:21

This is a really cool game and a great metaphor. I love that it shows your path at the end. I always end up going a little bit too far past the orbs to see the whole picture. Maybe the orbs could make the picture appear a little bit ahead of them instead? Awesome job!

guitarbro 2020-04-22 01:55

As others have said, "unique" is a very good way to describe this game. The aesthetic is strong and it fits well with the message. Definitely more on the creative side. Bonus points for the way which you got me to play a 2nd time; going down the straight path then showing all the stuff I missed. Actually made me want to check the other stuff out.

If there was one thing I'd say could use improvement, it would be how you interact with the text circles (or whatever you call 'em :stuck_out_tongue: ). Having to get close enough, then right click was a little awkward. It would probably suffice to just get near them and then pop up the text without right click. But that's a relatively minor issue and all things considered, the game is pretty well made. Nice job.

meelo 2020-04-22 02:17

The aesthetic here is stunning - it felt like I was watching a beautiful animation, and yet it was interactive! Nicely done.

trexxak 2020-04-22 05:20

Wow. Very emotional, thought-provoking experience. Gorgeous presentation, that goes without saying, but the content---

oof, it just hits you right in the heart.

Thank you guys for bringing this brilliantly heartstringy game to me <3

louiejams 2020-04-22 09:47

Really beautiful idea, some positivty and hope for the future is what everyone is needing right now. I played a couple of times to find out what the other little little characters id missed were saying. The map showing your travels at the end really brings it all togther also letting the player know they can have different experiences next time. Really good job guys!

devastus 2020-04-22 20:23

Ha, "Why can't you go backwards, it's frustrating". It's certainly a creative, thought-provoking game. The map at the end is a really nice touch, pretty sure most people went for a second run once they saw the amount of stuff they missed :P

I kinda didn't see much use of the theme in other than abstract terms though. Also it felt kinda annoying that the game forces you back to the main path if you dilly-dally around too much, but I guess that's part of the intended gameplay.

In any case, it was a great entry. Well done!

ryan123rudder 2020-04-22 21:35

Super fun! Really cool vibe and emotional

svarttand 2020-04-23 12:03

A really nice and unique game. Here is a video of me playing it:

https://youtu.be/nhnkqtm6Mvg

The graphics were really nice and the sounds fit to the style. It was a really nice feel good kind of game. I just felt good after playing it, well done! I don't know what else to say... nice!

kotka 2020-04-24 00:36

This is such a cool game! I really like the art style. Really adicting too! AMAZING JOB!

silas-the-dev 2020-04-24 01:41

This game was quite the experience. It was uniquely surreal. The art was effective and interesting and it was quite atmospheric.

fatpenguin 2020-04-24 14:30

Great great game, I saw it in the live stream of the girl who played LD entries and had to add it to my bookmarks. It reminds me of Journey or even more so of another game from this studio: Flow! What a sweet and soothing experience. The music was spot on and complimented the gameplay very well. This is the sort of game were after playing you feel like waking up from a trance, it's almost therapeutical. The controls felt smooth, would love this with controller support for even more smoothness and therefore immersion! :) good job! The map in the end was an especial nice touch!

amazura 2020-04-24 23:01

this is so emotional.. a unique way to approach the theme. graphics are pretty good. the audio brings up the mood and really make this game feels alive. such an hard work, good job:thumbsup:

hectorpather 2020-04-25 11:53

Truly cool experience, a really good atmosphere, smooth controls, an unique approach of the theme, well done !

jamesolivermusic 2020-04-25 12:11

very nice! it reminds me of journey and rez which I love! the concept is pretty unique which is good to see and i really dig the artistic approach you're going for. the music adds a lot to the atmosphere but i felt that a few of the transitions could have been handled better? some of them feel very abrupt. some of the fx take away from the mood as well, particularly the orbs that you right click on. would love to see what you add to this post-jam, theres lots of potential here.

marcusnystrand 2020-04-25 14:58

Interesting game, I had to play it to the end to realize what it is all about.

Very soothing experience; extremely well made visuals and audio! Well done!

lungtakumi 2020-04-25 15:08

Great experience, it let me think a lot of possible ways to try the game.

lairinlair 2020-04-25 16:06

Started playing on browser, liked so much that I downloaded. Good choice of songs. What a incredible storywriter you have on your team. The sounds were on poin too. I wont lie this game made me very emotional. And multiple endings. Will play it again and again. Congratulations! Love it

jimbly 2020-04-25 16:53

Wonderful! Loved the map at the end. Sometimes got stuck on things for a bit, but was always able to get unstuck, so not too bad.

cadstor 2020-04-25 22:32

Amazing graphic, narrative and music. Nice job!

tweedle 2020-04-26 11:33

The map at the end ties it all together well, cool concept!

vesper 2020-04-28 22:33

That was such an unexpectedly thoughtful and emotional experience, lol. Started tearing up in my third play-through before I fully comprehended why. It just catches you all of a sudden. On the first play-through I stuck to the path (as most people probably did), and only noticed the little balls of light partway down, but once I did, wow.

"Did anyone tell you to stay on this path?" What a question.

All those melancholy little creatures, all those paths not taken, the tangles in which you sometimes get lost, the sadness. You absolutely nailed the atmosphere here, and though the music isn't one of the categories you're being judged on, I'd like to applaud you on your choice anyway because it was so very perfect. The map at the end is also a great feature, and really upped the replay aspect for me personally. I kept wanting to go back and see what I'd missed. You guys did a beautiful job, well done.

surfskater2 2020-04-29 02:03

This is simply awesome, so beautiful and the most important thing... meaningful. I regret not having taken a screenshot of the result, but such an amazing journey. Thank you so much for creating this and congratulations!

duke 2020-05-04 14:12

I liked this :) It was a awesome how you tracked the player and showed the whole map in the end. I was really intrigued to explore more of the map after that. Fresh idea and well implemented. The art and sound fit very well with the mood you achieved. The music was mesmerizing and the texts were fun to read. Very nice experience :) Thank you!

fabula-rasa 2020-05-05 11:41

A really nice experience. I love the lighting and the music. Together they created aerie atmosphere. The tangled paths to chose from and an inability to go back. Whatever paths I chose, it always ended the same. That's life, I guess.

Great job on the game. Thank you for taking me on this journey.

elysiagriffin 2020-05-09 19:57

Loved this :) a different taste to your usual entries, but loved the ending and I kind of wanted to play it again to see how I could impact the end image. Some good things to think about for real life too, I always appreciate a game that can make people think.

lazzydev72 2020-05-12 07:26

Nice Graphics And love the sound too

justcamh 2020-05-12 08:40

Wow, what an awesome game. It took me way too long to realise that it was a metaphor for life; always moving forwards, never backwards, sometimes wayward. This is rather similar to my game, and it's neat to see similar ideas executed differently. I like how yours doesn't have any particular goal, you're just wandering forwards talking to people. I'm not sure about the light mechanic, I'd wander off then it'd eventually bring me back to the path and I'd assumed that to be a bug, but I now see you've got some light you need to maintain. Not sure why this was necessary, it didn't limit you at all, you could easily just go back to where you were. Perhaps it's meant to have some story connection, but I don't see it. I think it's amazing that every character on the map has a different sprite. That is so crazy, and I'd have never noticed without seeing your post about it. Them all being black blobs made them hard to distinguish, but I like that it sets up the theme of individuality. It was also cool how different areas had their own music. I found myself constantly looking for meaning in it all, the arches and the regions of music, and I'm happy to have found no meaning in them, it feels true to life that you don't fully understand what's going on. Perhaps that's what you were going for with the light mechanic, the random setbacks in life that you can recover from but still need to fix? Regardless, this was an amazing game, and I'm glad to have experienced it!

justcamh 2020-05-12 23:34

Oh dang, I’d anticipated far better results for you guys, is this thing rigged? This is amongst my faves, so regardless, keep up the good work!
