Thanks for being part of the stream :)
Hey, thanks for comments!

Music and sounds are creative commons, I thought it won't be too fair. And visuals, well, perhaps I shouldn't have, explosions and stuff took me some time.

Feel free to do so, it's all common property!
This is my new number one game so far, followed by Escape! and Breath. Obviously part of the game design was already there but I think the energy system gave it an interesting spin. This played really well - nothing to complain about for the time testing. 5 stars
Really nice game, excellent graphics and music. It plays really well, though I think some of the later levels are too hard. Some things I'd like to see are: maybe some energy cost for shooting would be a good idea. I'd like it if you could recover health/armor, and I think some kind of low energy alarm might be a good addition. Overall really well executed, nice work.
I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/163826993 - Time 0:17:00
Really liked the game played at my livestrea
Well this was a fun game! It was also a great length for a game made in such a short time frame.
I do have to point out that in one level (I believe it was level 11), while I was travelling between a bunch of huge asteroids, I think I picked up a power bolt, causing the power explosion bullets to fly out, and one bullet got stuck between asteroids or something, because a few hundred thousand particles started spawning all over the place and the game lagged horribly. Luckily, I died and could restart the level. :P
Also, at the time I'm writing this, why does your Game Jolt page say this was uploaded 14 hours ago?
@BeamKirby Thanks! It says uploaded 14 hours ago because I was kinda lazy about making webgl build and filling up gj page stuff.

I'm ashamed to admit but that's a known bug, I'll do something about it this weekend.

Here’s my live playthrough of Power on https://www.twitch.tv/elysiagriffin :)
Genuinely an awesome game! The tutorial, the power ups, the level design, the shooting animation, EVERYTHING about this game is brilliantly made , a true testament to game jams! Well done indeed! You should be very proud of your game! I very much enjoyed it!
Really awesome game, seems to be very polished. Graphics and sounds are just awesome. Level design is nice, levels are balanced and look nice. My only complaint is that power drains too fast. One of the best games I've played so far. Hope it gets those 20 ratings, because it deserves it. Would like to see bigger version of this game in the future. Amazing Job!
Frankly surprised that this entry has received just 12 ratings, you should try to promote your game more. Overall, a solid entry with very high polish. I don't get why you have opted out of graphics and audio category, because those are the main strengths of the game. Keep it up.
P.S. : Oh, I see, graphics and audio are Creative Commons
Hey, the game is really good ! I'm amazed at how much you managed to create in a so much litle amount of time... The only thing that make me a bit sad is that power-up are a bit easy to have and make the game too easy... I think it would be better to catch a "power-up ticket" in the level that permit you to upgrade you ship ! Otherwise it's a really great entry !
One of the most fun games I played in the jam. I found it to be a bit easy but some levels were really challenging. The game is really polished and I also liked the big hint that appeared after I lost in a level multiple times.
Very cool. This game oozes with style and mood (though you seem to have opted out of that category!). There are lots of really great details here, and I like the addition of a power up system too. It helps keeps thing interesting.
Really nice work!
POWER! POWER, POWER, POWER?
First of all... Wow! Each bullet shot feels so good! The graphics, the sound, all of it makes it go really well together.
The only thing i could say i didn't really like were the "ghost" enemies. At some stages there were enemies that flew through "solid" objects, which made them impossible to shoot, as well as confused me, and i crashed against it, since i thought i could fly right through it.
However, i'm complaining about this, because i feel there's not too much else to say, except great job. The game is fun, feels polished, challenging and intuitive. All things a good game needs, i'd say. So, great work!
Great work on making the game juicy as it needs to be: shooting is pretty satisfying and the action turns into real fireworks in the latter levels.
I'm impressed by the amount of power ups you added, but the mechanic I found most interesting was the "power cloud" mechanic, that helped make the levels switch between making you rush through the enemies, to instead go slow to recharge your batteries, or to simply go slow because you have to destroy that swarm of monsters to loot energy.
Overall the game is well balanced, the only really challenging one being the level 13.
I planned to comment on the pretty pixel art and how I'm sad it's not super consistent with the UI etc. but it seems like some of the assets are not yours so I can totally understand.
Wow, I'm impressed. Ramps up solidly and a lot of fun. Well done.
When I first started this game I thought "Oh great, another dwindling power space shooter," But you did something totally different from all the other entries. There's almost a complete game, full of polish here! Massive props for doing as much as you did. While you're idea isn't entirely new, the execution is amazing and all the power ups and abilities really add something unique to the whole experience.
Just a few things I noticed: 1. What does radar do? I feel like it just highlighted power, which is helpful, but I also feel like it would have been better if it also showed power pickups that were hidden by asteroids or ships.
2. The level progression is all over the place. Some levels early on were brutal, while others were a breeze later on. Maybe I stumbled upon the solution early for a few of these.
3. Having the ability to re-choose your upgrade after dying would be helpful so that you could properly spec for the upcoming level.
There's a lot you could do with this and I'd love to see a full release! Great work!
Nice graphics, nice balance, good sense of progress. Great game, thanks.
Awesome Game!
Thank you for this really nice game! It is really fun to play and the leveling kept the motivation up until the last level! Haha! It was really a joy to play your game! :0) A boss fight would have been nice! haha! :0)
