Im loving the mood and graphics! simple but it works really well :D great job!
the atmosphere of this game is <3
agree with above love the atmosphere it's a game that's good to play alone and explore
overall there's a lot of potential to be continue to develop it making it an exploration game or something
Very well done, so much potential. Really fun to move around and dig, and cute being able to play the violin under the tree.
The mood is wonderful in this game. I love the violin thing and other small details that make this game stand out.
lovely game!!! I adore the storytelling, narrative voice, the charm. I loved the story and book thing. I also think the building in the game was neat. The only thing is at the violin part it never stops. None of the keys work and it just keeps violating. The menu and back keys don't do anything. If you guys have a fix for this or I'm missing something please let me know, I'd love to keep playing! One more thing is that every time I jump it plays a sound like an error or something? It doesn't seem like it's supposed to be there. I was playing the web version on itch.io if that helps.
pressWhat.png The resolution is too low to read, couldn't start the game. Might just be an issue on web, it maintains the low resolution even when in fullscreen mode.
@shaolin-dave That's a problem with the way C2 renders things out. I'll see if I can fix it.
Looks really good and sounds amazing. I feel like the destroy any tile feature is kind of op though, as you don't really have to explore much and can punch through anything.
Loved the violin piece and the tree with the sunbeams looks amazing, pretty fun
Great atmosphere with a promising gameplay mechanic!
I think this is supposed to be a sandbox game? Although the only interesting thing I found was sign, but I couldn't figure out how to read it, and eventually destroyed it by accident. It's great that you're picking the game back up in development, but I hope your code is starting fresh, Ludum Dare code is always horrible :^) I hope to see you back in LD49, cheers.
The audio and graphics are amazing but, at least for me, the game is very buggy. Backspace to exit menus doesn't work and i got stuck playing the violin. Other than the bugs the game is great though.
I think it's a neat idea that needs more stuff added. I like the feeling of digging/placing blocks, controls feel really smooth. The set pieces of the violin etc were really nice touches and made exploration worthwhile. I had a hard time seeing my character at first because the screen is so overwhelmingly dark, I think it might be nice to have more contrast between the deep blue background and the black rocks of the cave. Great game!
Very pretty! Not sure it was working for me, though: the signs don't seem to say anything, and the cave system is really small. Is there something to do other than build? Also, the violin takes a long time; it doesn't say anything, so I kept pressing z to try to stop, which made it last longer.
Music is lovely, graphics are really nice.
:) Had a really good time exploring around! the game could use a in game tutorial but other than that I love the experience! Good Job :D
Thanks for all the comments! I'll try to fix the bugs tomorrow. I love you all <3
I quite enjoyed the graphics and atmosphere. Although the game is somewhat buggy. I also feel it lacks guidance or direction, I wasn't sure what I am supposed to do exactly, just explore or collect stuff or play violin at the the trees. Additionally, there is not much to explore because the signs are unreadable and there isn't much to see other than the trees. Good game tho.
Not sure if I'm too dense, but I couldn't figure out how to use any of the tools in the UI bar at the top of the screen? Didn't really impact the experience as presented, but it did feel a little off.
As others have already said - there's a lot of potential here. I got the tiniest taste of worldbuilding in there and I really want more. That said I'm glad I saw on you're itch page that you're developing it further! Keep up the good work.
I was really surprised by your game, it's very atmospheric and I would love to see more of it! I also didn't understand at first glance how to use the tools in the top left and what they do, and suddenly I could add blocks out of nowhere (yay!). Is there any way to read the explanation of the tools while playing? Maybe add an explanation on the game page?
Love your game! Good job
Nice entry! definitely fun to play with blocks to build stuff and dig holes. I wasn't really sure what to do though, and kinda expected something at the bottom of the map, because of the theme. I really appreciate the save system, it's pretty sick for Ludum Dare. Had a great time playing your game! :D
:heavy_check_mark: Nice relaxing and chill game. The **atmosphere** varies greatly based on the lightning.
The little blob seems kinda **cute**, I wish I could play the violin that good :pensive:.
The **feeling** is great when you're digging through nothingness, and then an opening appears that seems like a natural occurrence, or there are some lights out of nowhere that give a **cozy** feeling to that area.
:x: As @threeli I coudldn't figure out how to use anything from the **toolbar**.
Sometimes the blocks of "nothingness" are too big, and you're simply sorrounded by total darkness. I don't know whether this was intentional or not, but that part of the experience was a little **claustrophobic** :confounded: .
It was a nice game and i got to the sign but couldnt figure out how to win, is there any win condition?
This game is amazing. You deserve to win this LD.
@train27 @threeli: I updated that, sorry. Now you can place multiple blocks, like staircases and slopes!
@mind0o @adam-selker @celtico: The signs are now readable with X!
@kell-doherty @shaolin-dave: Should be fixed now.
@aiursrage2k @thomas-bringer: I added something at the bottom of the map, but it's more of a "lose" condition rather than a win.
Sounds like I need to play it again!
I tried to dig as deep as possible but was taken to a website for it =( other than that..really amazing game! Crazy this was made in such a short amount of time! Really love the graphics !
Really nice atmosphere and colors, the style is so cool! I was still unable to read signs though. Gonna try the windows version when I get home and maybe I'll have better luck. Looking forward to seeing more of the project! I like that you have a little options menu too, not many entries have that. I think the problem with the toolbar that people are having is that they were trying to click on the toolbar directly instead of using the number keys (like me xD). I think having little numbers below or inside the box would help with that a lot without having to code mouse input
**Edit:** Here's my creations! (I had to crop together 3 images) Deem-06.png
Nice art work, and effects :)
(Got stuck in a cube I placed XD)
excellent visuals and audio presentation. I enjoyed playing. I think you'll do well in the voting. congrats
I really like the art and the ambiance !
Fans of Terraria? ^^ Глубоко-глубоко под землей, там, где не ступала нога странных черных существ, находится ссылка на сайт National Suicide Prevention Lifeline... Был очень удивлен. Спасибо за игру ^_^
The atmosphere really sells this one, and I liked the exploration and building aspects as well. Pretty solid for a first LD entry, good job!
Great atmosphere and exploration. It took me a little bit to understand that right click is to mine. I just kept trying to click 9 and 0 to switch to the pickaxe, but then again, I am a dumbass. Also being redirected to the suicide prevention hotline for jumping off was unexpected and very clever.
Nice game, cute and calm, the game would be better with an history and a goal but it's still a very good game
The game looks great with a neat color palette and good effects, it has a beautiful atmosphere. However, I could not figure out how to continue after the violin sequence, I dug to the sign below and couldn't interact with it.
Still, it was an enjoyable little experience, good job on this entry ^^
Thank you for sharing your game! I liked it, really cute and atmospheric. I liked the freedom of the sandbox: deem.png
Nice graphics, mechanic and sound effects. I was just waiting for more gameplay, too short ;( but good game
so atmospheric! loved the look, really clean simple graphics with good choice of colors make it so stylish. the violin part was a nice surprise
The mood is amazing and the violin is incredibly cute! The controls and interactions work fine. Overall it feels like style over substance. The exploration was fun for a while, but than I lost interest due a lack of things to door accomplish. But without a doubt a lot of potential.
Thanks for submitting! I hope my in-stream feedback was helpful!
I dig the atmosphere, colors and mechanics! I also find satisficing the digging process. Cool entry, well done :)
Great mood and graphics, i wish for a bit faster movement. Great job.
Nice game! I just wished there was more to look for. The graphics and audio set a nice mood, and I like that it can play the violin. I'm just missing that challenge bit.
The sandbox style gameplay is fresh and innovative compared to most arcade style games people turn it for jams. I love the art and the violin is super cute. Congrats on making such a cool atmospheric game <3 <3
I like this sandbox, very relaxing and the violin was a nice touch.
Very charming little game with good pixel art and particles. I did make it to the Thanks for playing so its nice to see it does have an "end"
Amazing serine little sandbox world. This game is dripping with ambiance. The construction and destruction make for endless creative possibilities. the movement including the double jump are tight and predictable. Everything ran Super Smoothly. The violin was particularly cool. Thank you so much for bringing this by my stream. Here's a link to the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1004825468?t=3h15m48s
I uploaded our gameplay of your game on youtube, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=1F0Ywiy2Mt8&t=17251s
Thanks for being part of the stream, it was amazing!
I'm really impressed that you manage to make two completely different game during the jam. The first one a relaxing building/exploring experience, and the second one a chaotic fast and fun multiplayer shooter.
The overall mood and atmosphere of the game is really good, the controls are really crisp and easy to use. We didn't build much during the stream, but your game would allow for a lot a 2d creativity.
Very good games! Both of them. Congratulation.
Hey matey, thanks for submitting your game to stream! I had fun playing it, and I hope you found the feedback useful! Here's the vod if ya wanna rewatch it;

Congratulations on your game, it ended up becoming a mix of mechanics from Mario Maker with a very beautiful look, a big hug, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.
It was fun figuring out things, the violin part was nice. I noticed that you've been using 8bit sounds, not sure if it's from bosca, but the violin sounded bad when playing too many notes too fast. Music was randomly cutting of probably because of the transitioning. Controls were wonky and I even got stuck after building on top of me. Maybe if the music was a little bit longer, or there was more of it the game would have felt more moodier. For now this is an experience, quite nice and cute, but still needs some work
The game sounds looks and feels very moody. The music, the blue stream when you jump, everything looks very cool. The movement is also solid. I didn't however figure out what to de exactly. The fact that you could switch the type of block I can place is interesting but it seemed there was nothing I had to do with it. I just dug down and could seemingly just keep going. Overall it's quite a cool entry but it lacks some gameplay or goal.
