I like the newspaper/ad take on the theme, haven't seen anyone else do something like it

I like the newspaper/ad take on the theme, haven't seen anyone else do something like it
Tis a good ol' knapsack problem applied to a newspaper editor game that fits the theme perfectly! You know, I was thinking, it would be kindda interesting if you have to weigh the moral quandary of what types of advertisements to publish. Like imagine if a fascist dictator propaganda has +100 value, but causes unrest. Haha, I'm going off on a tangent, but this game got me thinking! Nice work!!
very unique concept. i really like the idea that what you put into the newspaper actually affect the ending. this game will be very successfull if you elaborate the idea further. im looking forward for the post-jam edition, good job! game1.png
Great idea for the theme! I agree with @binroot, it would very much fit in a "papers please" kinda game
After my third paper I just pumped ads and only ads in until I reached $100. I got a blank grey screen instead of the ending but I assume I did amazingly! It would be nice to see the borders of news so it was more obvious when things overlapped. Well done!
Lovely take on the theme, very original! I think there was a good balance in larger and smaller articles to fit on the page, and like others said before: you can really go wild in terms of impacting your community and creating consequences of your choices, if you decide to take it further!
Well done. I enjoyed the stories and seeing my effect on them. I got an evil idea that you could cause a catastrophe like the mosquito virus outbreak on purpose to generate a more valuable news story the next day. Another idea: you could add more value to news articles and adds placed higher on the page. Fun game, easy to play in browser, thanks for that.
Very creative use of the theme, impressive. Plus, I like what you did with the narrative. Yeah, no complaints.
Any game that has key changes in the music is going to be a winner in my book!! Game outcomes could've been a bit clearer though.. I struggled a bit with understanding the red vs. green game play mechs... maybe a helper text early on with some tips on how to increase ad revenue or news worth. And.. just as an audio person I'd love to have a printing sound sequence when you send it off!
Very creative! I like the way you need to balance the news and advertising your moms pastries. I didn't really understand why the articles sometimes went red tho, also the game ended with a blank grey screen. Still really cool, well done! :)
nifty idea and interesting take on the theme, a few minor bugs and it was a little tricky to position stuff just right, but overall good game!
I love these games where your choices have consequences. It's interesting to balance out the ads and the information. I like this game!
What an amazing game! I really enjoyed it!
It's so fun to organize the newspaper and see the effect of each story and the impact we have on the community.
I found two very minor issues, on that allowed me to "cheat" and one that is just visual:
* It is possible to place an ad partially outside of the newspaper from the bottom and the game still consider it as valid * Some numbers could be rounded to 2 decimals

PS: it's not always clear for me why a news is highlighted green sometimes even when I moved it out of the newspaper
What a clever use of the theme! I felt like a greedy newspaper editor trying to maximise my ad revenue!
Fun and clever take on the theme! Interesting gameplay and narrative!
The idea is fun, and I had a bit fun playing it.
It was a creative take on the theme and I enjoyed playing it. Nice Work!
Very good use of the theme with a creative approach. With some good polishing I could see it being a casual game, maybe also with real news topics in the future. Would be interesting to see such a game :)
