Awesome music man!~ Love it~
I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE GIMME MORE
Thank you @dgspitzer! :D Very likely @soulpixel, I really enjoyed the creation process :)
I just saw the stream by togislp - this is a simulator of a party with *loads* of drugs and I refuse to think otherwise :D And that music, genius. Great job!
This is a very challenging rhythm base game with great music! I love it :)
It took me a bit of time to understand the meaning of each colours. That green meant doubling your balls but twitch chat helped a lot there.
I wish I was more awake when I played it, but will play it again later to try and do better!
(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=2h13m49s )
edit: and yes, I agree with @Takusan :p This is a party under drug simulator
I've added rating in addition to my earlier feedback. Cheers!
Wow, this is very addictive! Can't say I was exactly able to turn off my mind and relax, as you put it; I found the gameplay very challenging, but enjoyably so. Great music, and a nice, simple design. Awesome work :)
Great music, hard game. Just like you made it for me great job
Simple, yet very effective. The basic mechanics spawn a good amount of interesting gameplay which i did not expect. And of course the music is well done. I would have liked the ability to change the direction that the arrow keys moved the level, but that's just a nitpick.
Really awesome, and very hard! I also liked how the balls almost looked like they were smiling. Well done!
Amazing! I love how simple yet fun the game is. The music synchronization and the visual effects are so incredibly satisfying! I love how the game mimics the actual feel of the music (i.e during the quiet part, the game is very relaxed, when the beat drops the game gets more intense again). The art style in general is also very polished. The colors and effects fit together so well with the music. Great job!
Your game took a simple concept to the next level. The difficultly increased at a rate that took two-three tries to understand. Your graphics are clean and do not obstruct game play, absolutely stunning. The amount of synchronization required to do this must have been rewarding to see in the game. I absolutely loved playing this game!
Really fun. Reminds me of my LD30 game Interball, but actually fun! I think the rotation and gravity is a bit too slow given the frequency of the beats though - it was hard to get the balls moving when you needed to get them out of a red area. Also the waveform graphics on the outside of the square weren't working for me.
Back for rating! So much fun. I can see the potential of a great music game! Keep working on this!
Cool concept, the gameplay is fun and adictive. The music is cool. The only one problem it is necessary to know the patern of the level to win. Maybe make the patern more longer or a speedest rotation. Very good musical game for me :)
For info : i made a game for this LD with the same mecanics of rotation if you want see it : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/world-en-abyme-1
Comment after playing for 4 hours. It's just so addicting! I hope you'll expand the game after the competition!
This game is pretty awesome. Playing in beat with the music is cool and not obvious at first. My one gripe is that it seems like the optimal strategy is to just keep spinning the square and see how the RNG and physics take hold of the orbs. While it's fun to see what happens in that scenario, I wish there was more nuance than that.
Wow nice music and addictive gameplay really loved it
Great game, maybe too difficult for me. GG :)
Really lovely music! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnxqXCwu79k
I suck at this, but it is awesome. I know what I'm supposed to do, I just can't do it. I'm dumb with gravity and the balls always end up in the red. Woe is me.
I really like it anyway. It's fantastically simple, the graphics are gorgeous, and the soundtrack really makes it fun to play. I wish I could last more than 3 seconds at it. Maybe with more practice...
As other have said, the game is really nice and addictive!
One thing, though: according to the linked Newgrounds page the music you used was made before this Ludum Dare (Apr 3, 2017) and it appears to be made by someone else. If that's correct, **you may want to opt out from Audio category**...
I would personally invert the left/light controls by default (right = clockwise, left = counter-clockwise), but since it can be done in config before launch, it's not an issue. Porting it to a device with an accelerometer (phone/tablet) and just using the gravity direction (not rotating the on-screen "box") would make the controls more natural, but maybe it wouldn't be that much fun - it would have to be practically tested. The game itself is well-polished and the effects make it super juicy!
@m-1 you are right. Opted out from audio.
