Interesting concept. Too bad you weren't able to finish it.

Interesting concept. Too bad you weren't able to finish it.
I dont know what is best the storytelling or the artwork! Please consider on keep working on this project :v: For Jam purpouses focus less in details and more on finishing, just my opinion. I enjoy it so much.
Wow, this looks really cool. What did you use, Photoshop? I love this aesthetic, this feeling that you play a painting! Really awesome work.
Also you get an extra star on the Humor scale for "Seems the developer had no time left at this point" (rephrasing here) :-)
I can see this interesting idea really going somewhere. The idea of taking one's life and giving it to someone else has been explored to some extent in books and movies. I just played a game based on that Justin Timberlake movie "In Time". I would link the game here but the LD page is not very usable, I cannot find out which games I have rated...
Too bad you did not get any further with this game. I am following you now to see your future projects.
Keep up the great work!
Love the art direction. The story was interesting enough for me to want to know what will happen next. Anyway, welcome to the world of Unity. Hope you enjoy your stay.
Thanks for all your comments! I know I should spend less time on the art because I can't go very far with the story, but I liked giving the game its own visual style. I have drawn with Krita and a Huion 1060 PLUS tablet.
Also the writing could be better but writing under pressure in the middle of the night in a json file isn't really inspiring
Very interesting, but also very short ! Good job anyway, dude)
Interesting artstyle and interesting mechanics
Good job making this in your first time with unity! The art looks great!
I enjoyed the art, and the concept looks like it could go somewhere. I hope you're able to finish this, and perhaps consider teaming up with someone in future jams so together you can tell even more story! Or just be fast?? Good luck!
Beautiful Art. Very sad that you did not finish. I am interested in where the story is going.
It's sad that the work in progress sign popped up so early, I was actually pretty hooked! You did a good job with the beginning :)
A great start! Keep going! I'm thinking the biggest challenge for you will be to deliver elements in agile stages, instead of trying to achieve the finished product right off the bat.
Yes what most people do in game jams is a prototype whereas what I do is more of a vertical slice: very little content but an overview of what it might look like
Loved the premise and the art ! Discovering Unity while crafting such visuals must have taken a toll on your available time, and is an achievement in and of itself. In any case, like other players, I was sad to see the "Work in Progress" sign come that early, as you had me invested in the story from the get go.
Pros : - Amazing visuals - Promising take on the "life is a consumer good" genre
Cons : - I want more !
Awesome work, keep going.
I'm finding it unfortunate that this is the third title in a row on this platform that I couldn't play because my machine is an actual 32-Bit Machine. It's frustrating to download the thing only to be informed that it just won't even try to launch, though I suppose that's not exactly your fault... Sorry, I just need to let off some steam here...
@chaosbrick I've created the 32-bit builds, please let me know if it doesn't work properly.
Art is great. What little story there is presents some interesting ideas, although obviously none of them are really explored. I thought the reference to Orwell was a bit ham-fisted. A good effort though, and it's always nice to see someone trying something different.
Really liked the art ! Also the qr code that are like a meta-ad (since they advertise you) are cool ! The story reminded me of time out, a movie with the same premise; If you have the time, could be really cool to finish the story :)
Finish it pleaseee, the concept is amazing
