A really cool idea, I enjoyed it quite a bit!
Shop is unbalanced and some of the abilities do not seem to work. Other than that the game is fun.
I was excited when I realized it was a text-based version of Dwarf Fortress. I enjoyed it.
The mood and style of the game is really nice. The camera's FOV is a little closer zoomed in than feels comfortable. But that's a simple fix. Gameplay wise, it would be nice to have some way of knowing how close to completion you are.
The game looks great visually. The monster sounds also help to bring together the mood. A few gameplay issues though, enemies tend to lock on and when they are too close they become impossible to dodge and difficult to attack. There is also very little damage feedback .
Its a good effort for a first jam game, however there are a few issues to bring up. There's no explanation as to how the game works within the game itself. That said, it's relatively simple to figure it out. More importantly in my opinion, the lack of feedback as to what is happening in the game world makes it confusing. Perhaps the drill could make a sound when it's finished drilling, or a timer showing how long the drill will take.
I would like to play the game but the zip file appears to be corrupted and cannot be opened.
itch page is dead.
Great art style Great music The game is really fun to play too. Movement feels good for the most part, however, jumping (especially with the low gravity modifier) is a little uncomfortable. I think if the falling speed were increased slightly that would help. The beholder AI seems to bug out sometimes and they stick to the ceiling or float out of range of your attacks. Overall, impressive visually, a little clunky to play but fun nonetheless.
I love the sound effects when you're stealing someone's soul. controls felt a little clunky at first but I got used to them.
thanks, @harksa for pointing out a bug on our Itch.io page, the distance meter was accidentally cropped out!
@nicso a good way to create more chaos is to bounce off of the side of other cars, sending them and you spinning out. Each time you fill up the chaos meter it requires more chaos next time, but also slightly increases the amount of oncoming traffic. These are things that will be tweaked in an updated post-jam build.
Good music, easy to view graphics, controls are a little over-zealous
Great music and artstyle. Controls are punchy and responsive. Some in-game explanation for controls would have been a nice addition. Also, the player character sometimes just doesn't pick up the orbs from the meteor fragments, not sure why? All in all, great little game.
Fun little game, reminds me a lot of Papers Please
Concept is great. The artwork is fantastic, as is the music. It really creates a great mood. The controls are simultaneously too floaty and too stiff, making the main character pretty annoying to control, that said it's definitely playable. Also, wall jumping doesn't seem to be useful, and actually detracts from the controls of the game, making you bounce off of surfaces that you'd rather just hoist yourself up onto. Decent little game!
Visually very nice. Controls are a bit stiff but definitely playable.
Fantastic game.
good game, although when the cart turns left or right the hose seems to reset it's rotation which can make aiming difficult.
Fun idea, good graphics and a good art style. Music also helps build the atmosphere. Gameplay could be explained better, and feedback to the player could be more obvious as well.
I love the vector-style graphics. Music is great. Definitely a very difficult game, but a good one none the less.
