I like the art, and animation. The battle system seems solid as well, if just a little on the simple side (block, attack, block, attack). I still liked it, as 1. it felt reactive enough while, 2. the animation and SFX still gives a seeming weight to your 'tools of trade' which makes landing a hit or block feel satisfying, and 3. the addition of blocking makes it about twice as deep as most LDJam-games in this style anyway. (Well, other than the fact that if 2 goblins are attacking you, and their attack is out of sync, you have no chance to block one of them.)
I also like the way you deal with potential out of bounds problems. I don't think I've seen a death timer that way before, and it fits the story well.
One last thing: I'd really like a mouse-sensitivity setting. It was playable once used to it, but when playing Unity games I always have to turn that setting all the way down. (At least here its manageable enough, but I've had to stop rating games in the past as this made it just unplayable for me.)

Visually very nice. Controls are a bit stiff but definitely playable.
AOE damage is satisfying, kinda cool that goblins are talking as well!
Well Done!!! Nicely done! I really like it. Best game I ahve played so far!!
Really cool design, I like that the goblins have a lot of variety in how they look. It's not just the same punching bag all the time. Also the sound effects are a success! As pointed out in the descriptions, the controls are a bit whacky, but it's definitely playable once you get used to it. You really nailed the theme, too. All in all a pretty good game, I had lots of fun :)

Something feels a little off with the attacking, unsure if its a timing / delay thing. Really liked the particle effects and theme, great job!
I like this one, it's atmospheric and pretty! But sometimes the mouse goes away and the character looks too much up and down so I get dead quickly. Anyway, thanks for your work, it's good!

A wonderful game made in 3 days.
Cool idea! It felt a bit stiff with the attacking animations at times. Maybe a swing left then right animation if the player swung recently? Overall great work for the jam! Keep it up!

I really liked the graphics, the game felt pretty polished and all the models and effects looked good! The sfx and music were also well made and added to the experience. The different animations added more weight/feel to the weapon. It was pretty simple but that helped keep it pretty intuitive. Overall a pretty decent game :)

It stressed me out, but I liked it :) A minimap would've been a godsend in this game :D but it's awesome what you managed to get done in such short time.
Very nice entry, quite ambitious for a game jam ! Love the art and the gameplay, even though the mouse look sensitivity was very high on my device. Great job
Great game for the time frame! You packed a lot into a short time. Good feel, responsive, and definitely fit the theme although I was able to hold out for longer than I expected!. Well done.

great work!
Really like the art and sounds. The combat felt pretty good but I was quickly overwhelmed by goblins. Game feels very difficult very quick. Otherwise had fun!
Wow! It's really cool!

It is a simple but engaging game. I'm sure you could do a lot more with this theme if you keep developing this after the jam.
I enjoy the sounds and the music. The only thing is I think the controls are a bit too fast. Fun overall!

Great cool game. Love the graphics and animations. I think that allowing attack animation to transition right after attack to shield animation would improve combat feal, also making health bars look at player would be nice eventhow Quaternions are scary. Nice particle effects. Realy well made.
Nice game. It looks rather pretty and has a nice mood. Stepping back when attacked seems to be the best strategy.

Very cool for a jam! I wasn't able to control my camera though.

The realization is very clean, both in terms of graphics, sounds, and gameplay! Thank you for explaining the context in the description (and in How To Play), it allows to understand the stake of the game!
For information, here is what I would like to see in it if you decide to update it again: - a larger FOV on the camera ^^ - more Risk&Reward in the fight. So for example a quick move of the shield which allows to push back and stun the goblins, but which requires to be executed at the precise moment of the attack animation when the goblin makes his armed arm fall on us. If we succeed, it pushes back and it stuns (more reward than just blocking), if we miss we are not protected and we take all the damages (more risk than just blocking). Because the current system is rather easy to master and thus one misses quickly of more technical and so rewarding challenge. - a little more context, lore... example: why not different endings depending on if you lasted long or not, for example "you lasted 1 minute, thanks to you 200 villagers had time to escape... if only you could have lasted 20 seconds more..." so it could make you want to play again to do 1min20 and have the text "you lasted 1min20, 300 villagers were able to escape, the king's children were able to be exfiltrated from the kingdom! If only you could have lasted 20 seconds more...", etc. (maybe it's not a good idea, it's up to you to judge it ^^)
Thanks again for this nice game ! :D
