Money Money Money Money Money Money Money Money Money Money... This sound will haunt me into my dreams.
This was a short fun game. I enjoyed your audio clips.
The player movement felt a bit stiff. The acceleration for the player was really slow.
Pretty Good
enemies were pretty odd to interact with and I agree the movement was stiff. The audio was great though!
I admit that I will have the sound "money money money" in the head all day ^^ Little game, but interesting...
The audio in this game is easily the best part. It's fantastic to have voice acting in a game jam game. The premise of the game is interesting, but the execution falls a bit flat since you can skip past all the buildings, grab the money and leave. There's an interesting idea here I would like to see more fleshed out.
Very fun thanks! Sound is well done. I love the hats hahha, really cute style. Great job
money money.... that is some earworm music, really funny though! loved it!
Very funny, I love the sound effects. Not enough challenge and controls are a bit finicky, but I just can't get over those sfx
Wow those sound effects make the whole game. Getting a gigantic top hat was cool. You definitely show off the theme pretty well. The only thing I would say is that it is a bit too short/easy, but overall very fun.
OMG the sound effects were gold! Thanks for the good laugh.
One thing to criticize is that the movement felt clunky. Otherwise this was great.
The movement is kinda janky, and some visual effects when you use a building would add a lot. But the sounds are hilarious and the overall concept is fun. Nicely done!
The movement is a little strange but I really got a kick out of the vibe and the audio. Making your top hat grow in height with your money is quite a strange idea but I definitely enjoyed that. Great job!
a delightful and terrifying commentary on the world we live in. so poignant and timely. love it
Great game! Loved the sounds. Add more levels!
BIIIIIG MONEY!!! YEAH C'MON!!! I seriously LOLd, the audio is gold. Thanks for this
GIMME! Hilarious entry. Super clever model design. Big <3
The sound is really great, I love all the sound effects. Very nice design. Cool and funny atmosphere
Sound was good: money money money It was easy because I escaped without using "shops" Good work :)
Fantastic sound . Love the hilarity and charm of the capsule character with the ever expanding hat.
Top points for Audio and Humour. :D

First off, the good stuff:
Holy hell those sounds effects are fantastic. Literally every single one. I don't think I can pick a favorite. I love them.
I love the effort you went through to add some personality to your game in the background. Big 'ole top hatted red boys in the background are a good foreshadowing of how crazy you can get in the future, nice touch!
Having the level change as you respawn helps with replayability, so it's great that you went the extra mile for that.
One major frustration though:
Hitting space to jump only worked about 50% of the time. I looked through your source code, and noticed that you're processing inputs in FixedUpdate rather than Update :) That's usually the biggest cause of dropped inputs, at least in Unity. Contrary to their names, Update actually runs a *lot* more often than FixedUpdate (sometimes multiple times a frame, I think). In general, FixedUpdate should be used to process physics, and Update should be used to handle inputs. Something to keep in mind for next jam! :)
Still, especially since you did *all* of this yourself, color me impressed! This game has a lot of personality and a premise that's super unique and hilarious. I hope all of your future games are held to a similar audio standard. ;)
@coleslaughter Thanks for the tip on Update vs FixedUpdate! That makes complete sense to me. I think I switched it when something on the physics side wasn't working and didn't think about the consequences! That kind of issue also made me realized I need to learn a better way to organize where I handle the various pieces like input, visuals, player info, etc.
@neonjeff Congrats on top 10 for humour! Well deserved! Look forward to more next time!
