This is a very cool puzzle game! At first i was like damn, this can't be the whole game right? And then you look at the walls and understand the whole thing! Fantastic game. Just a little thing, add sensitivity please! We know how hard is in the end adjust that for 2 days, but players appreciate that, specially me with a crappy mouse like mine haha.

Great job :v:

grimpuppet 2022-04-05 14:23

Pretty fun/cute game! Biggest gripe is it's so dark that I can't read pretty much anything on the walls or find new puzzles. I'll try more later, I only managed to get to 18%

lord-blackheart 2022-04-05 14:24

Really interesting! I love the take on the theme! Also the background music is very realxing! good job, loved it!

kason-xiv 2022-04-05 14:26

Lovely game! Very pretty, great sound design. Some of the puzzles are hard

zer0-flash 2022-04-05 14:27

That was quite a amazing game. Tip: rate other games cuz then your games comes in other's view for them to play i suggest doing that because this game is amazing and the experience was super fun keep it up

krzyhau 2022-04-05 14:44

@ds-nahogara There is a sensitivity setting in a pause menu (P on HTML version). Also, what you said is exactly the feeling we wanted the player to feel, so you can't imagine how happy I am to see we've succeeded!

eclair 2022-04-05 15:10

I try my best to figure out the puzzle. QQ截图20220405230950.png So interesting btw

Oh man, I love escape rooms so much, and this was just evil, the exit starts open? and every puzzle i solve more and more arrows pointing to the exit appear? what an absolute tease xD This was seriously just lovely, I'm actually mad i didn't get 100%, the puzzles were also really well done, i've done my fair share of escape rooms and this was very very well designed, used a lot of my favorite escape room elements that i'll refrain from sharing so i don't spoil anyone. I really liked especially that you pretty much keep coming back to the same keypad to type out different answers for different puzzles, seeing as the exit start open I feel it would be a bit pointless to unlock more and more keypads, so overall i absolutely loved this, it's my favorite one in this jam so far. The art and the music were good, nothing too crazy but very solid, but being an escape room i feel the visibility could be a bit improved. To add some constructive criticism, i really feel like the keypad should have the numbers written on them and maaaaaybe I feel like the morse code one should have the "answer" to the first and the last line written beside them or just remove the bottom line of it, i got it cause i happen to know a bit of morse code but i feel like it would be a bit of hard deduction to just assume they mean what they mean. Overall an amazing game, it's the kind of stuff i would actually buy on steam as it is, fantastic job! (Oh, also you should change the second image in this page, it spoils one of my favorite type of puzzles! maybe change it for the wall with the morse code written on it or something :p)

heho 2022-04-05 15:39

this one was really hard i was just about to stop playing when i noticed something new. Had me engaged the longest so far

krzyhau 2022-04-05 15:47

@vitor-milioni Thank you! Your feedback means a lot to us! Could you tell us what was your progress percentage? We're wondering how much you've missed.

vitor-milioni 2022-04-05 15:55

@krzyhau sure thing! i got 45%, but as i said, i'll most likely come back and try to 100% it sometime this week xD

augustcoder 2022-04-05 16:22

Uhh... guys, something's wrong with my exit door. Anyways, this is a very *unique* escape room. I'm not sure what would happen if you get to 100% (maybe it locks you in :P). ~~Managed to get 73%, but still going to try to puzzle it out.~~ **[Edit: Got to 100%, see later post]**

I like the graphics/mood combo (graphics by themselves look like they were made in paint, but definitely fits the mood). Seems very eerie. ~~Audio could do with some ambience, as currently it's just the keypad buttons AFAIK (I had to mute halfway thru the game, so idk if there was anything more).~~ **[Edit: Actually, there is some nice ambience! Only problem is the volume is VERY quiet, even at 100% volume!!]** One problem I had was how DARK it is. When the slightest bit of sun shines on my 100% brightness screen, I can't see a thing. Also, I couldn't play the html5 version because I couldn't make it full screen and my monitor size was too small.

Very nice game, Krzyhau, DevDeVice, and Unforg1v3n. Definitely made me use my brain cell.

ddjivan 2022-04-05 19:02

I lost 10 brain cells. Awesome game.

str0nkyk0ng 2022-04-05 22:50

Such a smart game! I loved the puzzles and the overall atmosphere of the game. It's interesting how we can leave at any time, but as players we *choose* to continue playing. Amazing!

vitor-milioni 2022-04-06 04:14

imagem_2022-04-06_011307.png I did tell you i was coming back to this :p really really amazing stuff, ticks all my boxes. And yeah, apparently i did get a bit ahead of myself with the morse code the first time around lol, also the "ending sequence" scared the shit out of me, very well played there xD

giardi 2022-04-07 13:10

Very nice puzzle game. I'll certainly play it again later. Great work!

augustcoder 2022-04-08 02:48

**[POTENTIAL SPOILERS]** Wohoo! I finally beat the game! A few notes about the puzzles themselves. I think this is a bug, but you can trigger the pressure plate with just yourself and two boxes. I didn't find out that you can [redacted] to get even more boxes until I had two more puzzles to go. I was only alerted to it when Vitor Milioni mentioned that the second image gives away one of the puzzles. Secondly, it is fairly easy to brute-force the last puzzle (which I initially did and "won" with 93%). I don't think it is really possible to fix this though. Great job guys, thouroughly enjoyed it!!!!

krzyhau 2022-04-08 13:39

@augustcoder Yeah, this is a bug that exists in the original build of the game. We've fixed it in the web build, along with some other game-breaking bugs. Also, yeah, if you want, you can bruteforce the last code, but that wouldn't be 100%, would it?! Anyway, I guess a way to fix this would be to make the player solve all "ending" puzzles, and show the ending only for the last one, but in some way you can really bruteforce any code you want with sufficient amount of time. Thanks for the feedback!

kukurammus 2022-04-08 17:42

Spend a lot of time with this one, really nice puzzle game, feel like idiot now xD Great job

@shadowcast great job dude

2022-04-08 20_36_17-Window.png

Well, I did it! However, I kinda gave up on figuring out the order of the digits of the final puzzle and brute forced it. I have no idea what the plan was for that. Really liked the other puzzles though. Took me ages to figure out where to find the morse code but felt pretty clever when I noticed the answer.

The framerate was pretty bad for me throughout. Maybe because it was webGL only. Wonder if it would've run better with a Windows version.

The blacklight puzzles were great overall.

I also liked the chill music.

One thing that felt kinda unnecessary was how high the rotation panels were. Just made it hard to reach especially when you have to use all the boxes at some point. Also never quite figured out the rules for the rotation numbers but oh well :D

krzyhau 2022-04-08 19:12

@yaen Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there's something wrong with WebGL build - I imagine it's simply because the game is not optimized at all (wall textures are procedurally generated using shaders lmfao). I'm glad you've enjoyed puzzles and the music. I do agree that some puzzles are unnecessarily complicated with no payoff coming out of it, but it's surprisingly difficult to design something good in such short amount of time. Glad the rest worked out fine though!

yaen 2022-04-08 19:35

@krzyhau Oh wow never would've guessed the shader thing :D just... why lol

Honestly, I'm super impressed by your ability to design and implement so many cool puzzles in such a short time! Big respect for that.

fluri 2022-04-08 19:55

I love puzzle games so this was fun to play ignoring the poor performance :)

It was hard to rotate the crates on different axis and I mixed up 9 and 6 because there was no underscore.

itzemii 2022-04-09 18:53

Very cool atmosphere, created by the sound and the graphics! I am not a puzzle person, so I did not get very far.

agrimes 2022-04-10 00:30

Got 91%, that's good enough for me. Didn't realize you didn't have to rotate the boxes manually until I came back to rate. Original idea. I liked it.

hawkin 2022-04-10 02:01

Love the idea! I love puzzles and escape rooms. So far I can't get past the first two crates, so I'm going to have to come back later and keep trying :D

(Question: is there anything in the jam build that would prevent me from progressing?)

krzyhau 2022-04-10 09:40

@hawkin The original jam build is completable from start to finish. I imagine you got stuck in the place where most of people claim they couldn't proceed for a long time. I guess it's simply because there's no indication you can do the thing required to proceed. My hint is that at that point of the playthrough you already have the information to get another box.

dock-frankenstein 2022-04-10 14:30

Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The webGL version suffers from being a Unity webGL version and randomly flickers my mouse when I rotate. I didn't like the character movement (a little bit too sluggish for me and jumping cancels all of my momentum), but it was good enough for a puzzle game. Only bug I've encountered was that you can hold the cube under yourself and jump infinitely (typical mistake). Also, why did you put a wall in the celling hole, I wanted to go out of bounds, that's so cringe

papabirb 2022-04-13 06:37

This was a fun game of getting stuck then going 'wait, what if?' But god, those rotation numbers made no sense, super frustrating to brute force. Also the *improvised staircase shall we say* had horrible collision, I kept sliding off while trying to do the rotation number brute forcing. Also, why would you give us the ability to rotate boxes horizontally but not vertically?!?!?! Drove me mad dealing with the boxes all the time. But I loved it - super satisfying despite all the issues! I even downloaded it to play (which I am loathe to do for unknown reasons) because the webgl build was laggy but I really wanted to play. (The titanic game I played just before this was also really laggy though, maybe it's a me thing...) Also, spoilers - I really commend you on that morse code puzzle, most morse code puzzles even in AAA games tend to suck ass. At first I was pissed because I hate when games give you a puzzle like that without the necessary in-game information to solve it... then when I looked up a morse code chart, I realized the one on the wall WAS the in-game information. Actually finding the PUZZLE took forever. But the timing on it was really well-spaced - although I still ended up enlisting a friend with excellent short term memory to help me with it, lol. I also enlisted him because I was hoping he could help me figure out the rotation numbers. They still made no sense. Really wish they were lower on the floor with all the brute forcing necessary plus collision issues on the *improvised staircase*... also, the music was fantastic. Love that it didn't really start until the first puzzle was solved. And that ending was very fun! :) mspaint_LwI7k2wLEl.png

itooh 2022-04-16 18:13

I love the core idea (I kinda tried to make something similar)! The puzzles are really clever, some of them even asking to take notes, I enjoyed solving them. The main issue I had was that the game is way too dark! I had to increase the brightness of my screen just for it, and even then I couldn't see the numbers on the box (they were readable, but barely noticeable)! I had to read a solution in the comments to solve that first puzzle. Maybe my colorblindness played a bit there, but more contrasts would help a lot. Some puzzles that I found hard to solve: putting the first box in the purple light (it wasn't completely clear that it was a light coming from the projector, maybe a halo could help to understand that), and having to write one of the code twice (not really intuitive, unless there's a clue I missed). Sadly those happened to be at the beginning of the game. The later puzzles were way more enjoyable, even the difficult ones!

So despite my early frustrations, I ended up really liking the game! :) It's a fun puzzle, with a cool presentation and clever ideas.
