The atmosphere in this is so good. The minimalistic art style looks great, and the sound effects are top notch :ok_hand: 10/10 would swim with the meatballs again

Wow, the visuals are iconic. I really love the worldbuilding the limited writing accomplishes and despite my complete inability to predict which way the fish might move, I forced myself to beat it without the code. I need more experiences like this - really vibing with the world.
i like it
This really came together. The sound and visuals really add to that eerie atmosphere.
Yo I really liked this game :D
The graphics of the mouth (eye) and the fish, the story unraveling, the tight/smooth mechanics .. all great!
Keep up the awesome work :)
Unfortunately, it crashed for me as soon as I reached depth 1. No logs, no exception window, just died. Looks like a cool game, the graphics are simple yet effective. Hit me up if you want crash details and I'll try hooking a debugger up to it. Look forward to playing once it's fixed!
it's pretty cool, but i think the fishy hitboxes need a lot of work. i missed what felt like 80% of my shots, and I tried many different strategies, clicking right on them, clicking past them, leading their movement, and i could very clearly see the yellow line hit them or go through them, but it wouldn't eat them.
the slowing down time mechanic seems cool, but doesn't seem to have any cost or downside. why wouldn't i just hold the mouse down all the time?
i really liked the sound effect for successfully eating a fish.
that was so good. i loved it. even managed to get into the story of it a bit. also loved the inclusion of the cavitation bubbles at point of impact, tiny details like that are always great. congrats you guys!
Very well polished but I felt like the smaller and faster fish could be really annoying to catch. (maybe if you gave them some movement pattern)
@thegamer1123211 Sorry that it crashed! This is my first game made in this framework so I'm not sure what logs it generates (if any), but any info you can give me would be great. I'll also look into better crash handling/logs. If you don't want to post it here you can DM me on twitter @NotExplosive
That was really interesting! I really liked the eye animation when you looked around, and the slow mode was fun to watch.
Nice job.
Extremely well done, artstyle is nice and consistent (albeit a bit cluttered when the jellyfish appear). Gameplay is fun and challenging. Great idea, great execution!
This was a super fun game you got here, everything about it was super well made! Not having any background music to it almost enhanced the experience for the better, that and the spooky story and nice art style behind it made it a super enjoyable game! Great job all in all!
Great concept. Very fun game. I think there are a few points that could be improved. 1, eyes on the mouse will be more interesting 2, although you can slow down the time, but because of the speed of the laser is still very difficult to hit the target. Maybe after slowing down the time can have a faster launch.
An incredible little experience, it was very fun trying to predict the fish trajectory and avoiding the vegetable life, it looks sounds and feels really really polished, a lot of thing i felt were missing from some games this one has in spades, really neat and fun game, i really liked the ending too, very well done everyone involved, it's amazing!
Such an interesting experience, visuals and sounds were great, I really hope you keep working on this.
The presentation on this game is quite stellar. I like the mystery it creates with its stark, high-contrast colors, and the minimalist text to go along with it. The clever use of the color yellow was an excellent way to teach the player what the objective is, including the end twist. For the most part, I appreciate the "play with the story" aspect of the game.
I did, however, think the need to catch fish by point rather than raytrace was a significant weakness in the experience. Since the faster and smaller fish already move erratically, eve with curves, it felt very difficult to predict where they would end up. There were very dull and/or frustrating moments where I couldn't catch that one fish, and that really hampered my enjoyment with the game.
Still, I appreciate the short, sweet, to-the-point concept of this. It's nice to play something that felt like it didn't need any new content beyond what's already in there.
Interesting choice of visuals. Really adds to the game
really awesome take on the theme! Love the minimalistic approach with both controlls and graphic. Very atmospheric, would love to see more! Great job!
I love this game. The unique style is awesome, the sounds are great, and the atmosphere is really good. It crashed a lot when I reached depth 1 however.
@thrawn911 Glad you enjoyed it, can you elaborate on the crash? When you say "Depth 1" what do you mean? Do you mean right after the intro cinematic?
i think this is my favorite thus far. its a fun game, great mood, simple yet effective graphics, the whole package. great job! stick a price tag on it, its done
Great game! Love the atmosphere and the gameplay is interesting. The slow time mechanic and having to aim where the fish are moving is pretty fun. Having to avoid certain things too is a nice addition.
