What a fun idea! You definitely recreated that feeling of building blocks as a child; I was definitely that kid that loved to break their tower after building it! The building mechanics felt slick and intuitive. The visuals look great and the music really helps sell add to the fun/playful atmosphere of the game! The only critique I have is the appearance of the ball gun (a minor issue), but the rest of the game is very well polished!
Congrats on a great entry; I'd love to see an expanded commercial version in the future! :)
Definitely a nifty idea, but I feel like the "health bar" mechanic is flawed. My first fight, I knocked the block off the pile and it fell behind some other stuff, where I was unable to hit it again. My second fight, my first shot took it down to 10% without dislodging it, and the second shot took it out. Maybe more of a "the floor is lava" mechanic would be more strategically appealing. The overall idea, though, is super fun and creative, well done!
I'm surprised you got such strong building mechanics working in the time limit; I might have to check your source code! ;) I like the graphics, but the motion blur might be a little much. Otherwise, the gameplay mechanics are very sound, so I would love to see this expanded upon in the future with more progression.
Oh wow, this was surprisingly incredible, with a more robust building system this would be an absolute godlike versus game, i'd love to play this against my friends for hours on end, very pretty, polished, fun. I simply loved this, very well made, a description on this page to let me know what to expect would probably make this do very very well because the game itself is amazing, i'm super glad i decided to try it even without any descriptions here, great entry, congrats!
@tom-stephenson @bassguitarbill @unfocused-locust-games @vitor-milioni Oh wow !! Thank you soo mush for your comments ! Great feedback, it is really appreciated ! We began to do a splitscreen version but didn't made it in time, maybe for next release !
That was such a good idea and it was executed so well! Can't wait for 2 player mode because that will be super entertaining!
Cool litte game. I like the mood of the game and its very funny to play. The placement of the blocks feel kinda weird. Probably give more controls with addition of the arrow keys?

Fun idea and well made game. Great use of assets. Nice litle physics game! Impressing that you had time to make a working AI opponent!

Awesome game! I really liked the concept and the combination of both play styles worked quite well in my opinion. It was fun to prepare your "fortress" before attacking your opponent's. I definitely would play a full version of this if you ever decide to turn this into a full game.
It's a cool idea well executed The only complaints I have are weird controls and that AI can't build shit, so it's a shame that 2P mode isn't there yet, but I can totally see how cool and entertaining that would be But yeah, apart from these two issues -- a great entry all arround

Wonderful entry! Probably the most fun I've had, played 5-6 games and enjoyed both phases each time.
Needs balance and some more features, but it's a genuinely enjoyable game, if it ever got online multiplayer I'd legit spend money to play this with some friends if there were lots of silly modes. I can see myself on VC just joking with some friends as we build pretty bases and destroy them.
My one feedback is in the current game it feels like the biggest thing is making sure to get a good hit on the exposed treasure. A hit on the pillar the treasure is standing on that just knocks it behind the base is a disaster, but if you can clip it to go to the right/left you basically win in 2-3 shots. So maybe a way to destroy the wooden blocks would be nice so it feels less like it's all about that first hit!
Well this is a very surpising game. You play it thinking its some sort of tower builder then you sit shooting the enemies down angry birds style :joy: nice work! Everything fits nicely with the audio, gameplay and graphics :D

Wow! I feel like most jam games would just do the building mechanics for a game like this, you guys really went the extra mile to have a battle phase as well, and it was fun!
Reiterating what a few others have said, the damage system could use a bit of work. It took me embarrassingly long to figure out that simply destroying their base didn't help at all, I needed to find where the crystal had fallen, expose it again, and hit it directly. I spend quite a few shots just trying to tear their base down, which was satisfying on its own.

Very well polished game. I love the the cannon and woody sounds of the pieces being hit.
straight to childhood
Music, sound effects and graphics are all spot on. Very polished. Given the theme you'd almost expect that this was only going to be a building game, but I'm glad you let me destroy some blocks with the cannon. That was nice. Great work!
Aaaaaawwww snap, this brings me back to Boom Blox days.
Love the personality of this one. Can't wait to see the multiplayer added to it!
