Cool and unique idea! Lived all the way to 95 and died a painful death. The buttons could have been a bit easier to press but all in all fun game.

claybro2021 2020-04-21 02:26

Love the 90s interface look. Very stressful and convoluted.

willjardine 2020-04-21 03:54

Spot on with the theme. I really like the game's look and feel.

sageware 2020-04-21 04:53

@nipatiitti Thanks for playing and reporting your score, and for the constructive feedback on the UI.

@claybro2021 So happy you enjoyed the look of the game, thanks so much for playing. Life is stressful lol.

@willjardine Glad to hear we did well on the theme and appearance, thanks very much for playing!

Very intense and addictive game! 79 is not so bad, but with the touchpad it turned out much better! I think that with the buttons there would be an imbalance - they are too easy to press. Great job!

gastricsparrow 2020-04-21 12:46

This is less video game and more philosophical commentary about the fragility and futility of living. I love it.

P.S. I died at 90.

Nice combination of clicker and (maybe) storytelling game. I found 2 different endings at 100 years and 36

deylinia 2020-04-21 20:02

This was really cool! I love the idea and the graphics, I think the actual gameplay was a bit tedious especially since the buttons weren't that big.

I made it to 90 years old! Love the old school, gray looking user interface.

yvanor 2020-04-21 20:08

Kinda proud, managed to make it to 100yo at the first run ! I like it, it's a little game which looks simple but which has some subtleties that make it interesting.

Well done !

robotsandmuffins 2020-04-21 20:16

Simple idea, but well executed. The difficult curve it's also great! Well done!

mlkvr 2020-04-21 20:55

Died at 50s and i am not even mad :) nice game

kszaku 2020-04-21 21:16

Fits the theme nicely, I also kinda liked that unsettling atmosphere. Especially audio

blue-pin-studio 2020-04-21 21:19

Not bad at all, wish there was more to do other than wait and click the corresponding button but perhaps medicine can't get more interesting than that :P

adamcyounis 2020-04-22 06:32

Overall, I think the game responded to the theme well, I liked the concept a lot. I lived to 100, though I over-medicated. The game ran a little choppily on my desktop in the HTML5 version. I thought the graphics were suitable, but could definitely have imagined something with a bit more depth. The sound design felt like simple MIDI sounds were used, which didn't add to the experience meaningfully. I appreciated the monitor vitals sounds, and would have liked a bit more of that kind of sound in the game. The mechanics were very simplistic, and the game didn't really open up beyond the base premise and the increase in intensity as time went on. Some more diversity of interaction and system design would have gone a long way. Thanks for the game!

splitpainter 2020-04-22 06:34

This is intense and a very good take on the theme. Probably the most literal interpretation of keeping alive. Also the UI fits your intention so well.

erebus 2020-04-22 10:23

Really interesting take on the medical game genre. Thanks for bringing it by the stream!

ukumeme 2020-04-22 11:25

Pretty intense! Managed to last until 100 years old though. This was a pretty nice game, didn't overstay it's welcome

scott-steffes 2020-04-24 07:51

Wow, this was legitimately unsettling, like in a good way. The core game system doesn't have much to it other than accuracy, but it really captured the sense of impending doom that comes with aging. Games are all about giving the player an experience, and this really did that.

ancientpears 2020-04-24 17:38

Nice and neat game. I survived till 100 years old haha. I liked how you used different notes for each cures. by the way. I didn't write the start key for my game before so you couldn't start I guess so I updated the info. Anyway thanks for having interest in my game.

ctrble 2020-04-25 01:12

Great use of sound! It really helped to ramp up the tension! The UI was also very good, it suited the game well. The only change I think I'd make would be making the buttons larger, or mapping them to keys for a frantic button mashing experience. That said, I had a lot of fun before dying at the ripe old age of 100!

david-bohan 2020-04-25 16:42

Nice game, overall. I like the graphics, making it seem like an actual piece of futuristic medical software. I got my patient to live all the way up to 100. It fits the theme so perfectly, it's almost a literal interpretation of "Keep It Alive"... but executed in a pretty fun way! I was hoping at some point I could use my keyboard keys to administer the different medicines. That would've made it easier but it could add more to the hectic feel of the game later on.

This game on the whole is fun and solid. Excellent work! I'll follow this game in the future and play any later version, to be sure!

nihushu 2020-04-25 16:47

Intresting idea, tho not very challenging. I like the graphics style but there's not enough content to play it more at once but still if it had a bit more content then it would make for a great mobile game :)

nolanfa 2020-04-26 03:24

The graphics are really clean, I liked having a different sound on each button, and the end text shows the story with efficiency as well as kinda tells you how to play (I hadn't noticed before that that mmistakes gave you more illnesses). Overall, though, I didn't really find it fun to play, as there is only one mechanic - though it is implemented well and trying to do more might have added more bugs than was worth it. If you have time to add some interactivity with the body parts or layer a few other mechanics over it, it could easily become fun for me, though.

drevilbrain 2020-04-26 07:45

I'm 20. Is that really what being 80 is like?

kayahr 2020-04-26 16:08

Died at age of 100 with no diseases. I hope that's good? :) Nice game idea.

stefan6435 2020-04-26 18:13

I liked playing your game. The visuals and audio gave a nice 80's feel to your game. The way you worked with the Theme was really good. I hope to see more of your work in the future.

devharts 2020-04-28 05:20

Neat concept and quite fitting to the theme! I lived to the ripe old age of 100, and died peacefully in my sleep after a lifetime of administering medicines to myself haha. Gameplay wise I had a little difficulty with the mouse controls due to the cursor being much larger than normal and a little tricky to position over the buttons (though I played the web build in Chrome on a Mac). The glowy green digital UI had a nice cohesive visual style, and I liked the almost musical sounds that played when administering the medicines. Nicely done overall :)

horbee 2020-04-30 09:45

Interesting idea. I played the game few times. I actually find it hard to click on the buttons sometimes. And in the end the illness rate just went crazy :D Nice job overall!

royur 2020-04-30 10:14

I'll be happy if i can go live up to 100. nice idea.

jmad 2020-05-06 01:36

Artistic direction is :ok_hand: Simple and efficient gameplay, with a hint of science - and I love me a wee bit of science. Died at 100 with two bacterial infections, and got shamed for drug abuse. I contributed to antibiotic resistance, deeply sorry for that.
