Nice game, I like music and idea is quite interesting. It's may be would be nice to add something like whole sentences consisting of several actions.
@ruoyu Isn't a bug, you will need it! :yum:
Now I know my bad traslation error with "Impulse", really it's better "push" for example but I want a "long" word for this action.
@RaccoonLudos thank you so much! I had think about that and yes, it's interesting but the structure is different because you will write a "phrase" for solve any problems and with one word, in any levels you will need write too fast, you will need to be a "Keyboard Warrior" haha
This was cool. It was difficult to time/space some of the movements. I wasn't sure where I would end up after a move. I was trying to impulse over the enemy, but it sends you at such a low angle initially, that its hard to do it without dying. I wanted to experiment with this through trial and error to figure out what to do, but dying three times resets the entire game, and it takes too long to get back.
@niborious thank you! really you can do it with trial and error, this game have a save system for save/load your progress
@HagamosVideojuegos ? if you die three times you have to start over? Oh! you mean the save/load commands. oh thats weird I didn't realize I should be doing that. It seems counter intuitive to the system already set up to keep track of lives.
@niborious yes, it's the "Easy version" to play
Really cool game only thing that i did not like is the birds outline is way to thick
Hahaha - what a combination. I enjoyed this I just have 2 suggestions for you.
1. Add some easter eggs please - I will bet you that 50% of the players will type in words like "die" "kill" "kiss" "love" etc. - I was hoping there were easter eggs but I couldn't find any 2. Queue commands - I wanted to be able to queue another command while I was already doing one - it accepts the input (e.g. the box clears out) but doesn't queue the command. Either gray out the box while executing a command to make it clear that you can't queue or implement queueing (the better solution) :)
@Yippiez thank you!
@morphine Thank you! Yes, it's a great idea the Easter eggs, I will think about that after the compo votes!
About the queue commands, it was responsed, it's a "easy implementation" but if I implement this you will not need to write fast in any situations but if you like I will think about that too ^^
WOW similar to mine I really like it!
Well done game, Like it! was really hard btw!
Pretty fun and a quite good fit for the theme. Also your protagonist is a bird. Which is of course always a good thing.
Really polished game. Nice graphical style and interesting levels. I couldn't finish it but should have used the Load/Save mechanic I guess. Good job!
A cute little game. It's simple yet I enjoyed playing it. The concept is interesting but make the game a bit slow. Maybe a run function would have been interesting.
Nice little game, i liked that you had to time your moves :-), a bit hard though. Nice graphics, and sound! Good Job!
lol, so this is why text adventures aren't platformers. Well done. I liked how difficult and odd it was to type to move in a platformer.
Really nice ^^ I really enjoyed playing. The commands were simple but straightforward. I liked including the oranges, having an optional goal is always nice. Good work!
Thought it was interesting. Was a little hard to judge how he was going to respond at first but was a great jam game. Good work :) Mind reviewing mine? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/ld41-jam-game
Sweet little game! Love the take on the theme, great execution and the assets are so cute. It really works, and the mechanics build a good basis for some deep puzzles. Good job! :)
Loved it. They are very much incompatible themes, that's for sure! But you made it work. Very cute graphics and audio.
Cool game, I really must learn to type more quickly. Lovely graphics and cutesy atmosphere. Plays well.
Ha, this was great! The typing speed makes it a challenge, the levels are nice and puzzley - it took me a bit to figure them out. The music and graphics are spot on. Fun to see an opposite take on the text-advenutre platformer than I did! I got 4970 ater discovering the LOAD/SAVE finally - makes it much less frustrating. The end animation is so cute, this is definitely one of my favorite jam games so far! I'm impressed with how polished it is in such a short time, the puzzles are really great!
I like the look a lot and the bird is cute :) I got some good keyboard typing practice though. A very nice game and good job!
The game wouldn't load for me unfortunately! Does adblocker's stop the site from working? I'm running the most up-to-date version of chrome.
Thank you so much to everyone by your comments! I'm so glad! :D
Yes @Shoj92 , you need to disable the adblocker to play probably!
@cincodenada thank you for end the game! :D BTW have two possible ends!
Oh this is a great idea. Nice puzzles! :) I liked the graphics alot. Good Job!
Phew. That took a lot longer than I thought it would... A shame the save button doesn't save your current level, just what level you're on! Managed to beat the game and collected all oranges. Not bad at all, seems you thought these levels out rather well! Not too much to comment here, unfortunately, it was a pretty solid experience. Good job!
Great audio. Controls were solid. Definitely on point with the theme. Nice work here! I had some trouble with the impulse mechanic and getting on to platforms. Easy fixes though.
The t in= boring walk down cliff
Overall really cool. I loved the audio and the concept fits the theme well. It took a ridiculously long time to load for me though
Great Game, good gameplay and nice graphics.
Great game! Great job with the level designs and difficulty progression.
It's not the first text-platformer i've seen haha Honestly, i didn't like it very much. The graphics are nice, and the music was too, until it got too repetitive and boring. For the gameplay, i think you should call this a "platform typing-adventure". In text adventures you make choices in an immersive narrative. Here you just need to rewrite stuff all the time without spelling it wrong.
But the game is very well made, i got no bugs and everything looks beautiful, so good job!
@Aszu thank you so much by your constructive criticism.
I hadn't watch other games but I will search it!
Yes, this have not narrative and have not more commands because I hadn't much time to develop the game alone.
I will think about that, can be interesting the use of more choices for different ways (Now only have "Two ways" because have two final animations), thank you! :D
Nice work! Mechanics, level design and balance are great.
This game was pretty unique. I liked the gameplay, and how it had puzzle type mechanics and made the player think about when to perform certain actions. I do think the difficulty is pretty harsh as the player has to restart the whole game when the player loses all of his/her lives. This was too punishing. Instead of doing this, I wish there were no lives and that the player just had to restart the current level in the game when the player died. That would make the game more fun. Now, I do know the player can just type load to restart the level with the original amount of health the player started the level with if the player saved when the player entered the level and didn't save after he/she died, but this is an annoying workaround. Also, the glitch in where the lives are equal to -1 when you die should be fixed, even though it doesn't disturb the gameplay experience. Fixing this glitch will make the game seem more polished. There also should be an option to restart the game and delete all saves without having to lose all your lives or having to type load. You can try making the game reset when the player types restart. The graphics of the game were decent, even though the background looked a little bland. The audi was very good. Overall, I enjoyed playing this game.
P.S. Sometimes the audio didn't play when I opened up the game.

I had to reload the game twice before the audio play. That's a nice game, with nice graphics, and a great level design. It forces us to think what command to use but also, when! Your game looks simple at first glance, more or less like any platformer game, but it's definitively not. Some typos made me die, but I guess this is part of the game ;)
I did not expect a typing game. The words are pretty long but fortunately I am a fast typist. :)
I think infinite lives might be a good idea because you have to experiment a lot with the hitboxes and slow actions, and dying because your impulse jump slightly touched a triangle makes me sad.
The graphics are really cute!
This is pretty good! The audio didn't work on the HTML5 build unfortunately :-( I found the bord looks a bit too much like flappy bird and the platforms look a bit too much like mario, but the "punk bird" made me laugh so it's all good I guess ^^# I found the mechanics of having 3 lives only a bit punishing. It's a bit frustrating that the commands you type while another command is being executed just get lost a bit frustrating also. All in all I went up to level 5 and had a pretty good time. Well done :-)
@d-studios Thank you so much for your ~~multiple~~ review! I will search the glitch and the audio problem because any people tell me that but I can't do it :(
I think to use the load and save for type more times and if you think it, you can play with a "easy mode" with infinite lives
@LooksLikeSomething @gafblizzard thank you so much!
@StrangerYann thank you so much! if you reload the game can listen the sounds, i will try to fix it, after the level 8 (The final level) you can find two possibles final animations! :p
Challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI6TXc0bclc
@Jupiter-Hadley Thank you! :heart:
