The new season of Survivor looks ....good. Overall idea is fun and humorous, fits the theme well, I especially liked the first part of doing the choosing and would prefer more interactivity in the second half or at least some scoresheets with fates of everyone.
There's also a small bug where Game Over screen keeps on adding days the crew have survived.

Perhaps the boat could go faster and faster each trip. The style fit together very well.
This was fun at first, but I started getting performance problems pretty quickly. I guess you could say my framerate...
...took a dive.
I found this really inovative. I think iterating over the concept a few times could be turned into a full game.

@john-gabriel was the performance problem on web or desktop? If on web, then it's likely due to the AI planning algorithm running in parallel for each passenger.

I really think this game concept is really cool. I can totally imagine this being built out to a full game. So people with different characters and skills, depending in what groups they are being choosen and then we can see how things play out. Great work on developing the characters, and the fact that you have got this simulation going in such short time is really cool. The graphics was unique - and I really liked the characters. The music was also nice. I kept on watching for a few days it, but after like 6+ days I lost interest. It was not clear what is required, who does what. Somehow such game would require more iteration so the player can experiment on the ppl. Like watch 2 ppl for two days, then an extra person, then 2 days more and then an extra person etc. Anyway great job, thanks for the entry!
This game was incredibly addictive! You can really tell how much thought went into it what with all the different characters in it! I did notice some slight lag on the WebGL version, but that may have been on my end (also it's WebGL so it could've been just that as well).
Also Grandma OP, she lasted like 2 weeks on her own! Grandmas are the strongest beings in the universe!
Funny and pretty playable. In my universe, chef was most survivable character and lived 26 days. Really interesting to play in more detailed and polished variant of such concept.
Well well, 32 days. Pretty much everybody died right away, the first character was dead before the ship sand completely. They caught a few fish for the doctor to prepare though, so he lived through most of that month all by himself. I noticed while typing this that the day counter doesnt seem to stop in the game over screen, it was suddenly on 35 days. TBH I had no idea what I was doing and for those few seconds where everyone was not quite dead yes the web version lagged alot. Maybe having the characters live longer is a funnier experience, but the general idea isnt bad either way.

What a unique concept for a game! I really like it! Same goes for unique art style and nice music. I wish there were some interactions when watching survivors, since it takes a while. Anyway, nice job with the game :)
I like the concept and you've come up with some good characters. Maybe a log of events would be nice so I could navigate away and come back to see what happened with my island survivors. Great job getting a lot done in the time frame!
The cowboy died first. Then everyone except the seamstress joined the RIP party. It was the day 3... the seamstress was the sole survivor. And then, a miracle happened: they lasted for 20 days!
But seriously, it was hard to understand what was going on. xD The event log idea suggested by @don-shinski could help a lot here for sure. Even if the game simulates some complicated things, we players have little chances of appreciating it. :D
I loved the idea though.

I think I survived 10 days, this game has a cool aesthetic. I had a dog on my island! But no opera singer...
I had no performance problems in firefox.

What a neat concept! As a game it's not doing much, just picking out people at the start. Then it gets really really laggy, until the first few survivors die.
As others said, you do have a few tasks going on, a live blog would be interesting, since you can't do much else.
Opera Girl stumbled over a shell and broke her neck. Kid got a heart attack as his mobile died.
Made it 13 days!
Man housewife is OP. Everyone died quickly, but she kept going even after day 20. Had some performance problems using firefox on Ubuntu during the rescue section, but was fine after that. Like the concept, but wish there was something you could do to direct the island section. Like assigning jobs or something. Maybe idea for future work?
Survived 26 days, who knew Opera Singers could solo live for 15 days. Cute game, although the waiting is a little mundane.
Nice concept and the music really fits the laid back gameplay. While it was rewarding to see the survivors on the island, it also felt abit like I spent 90% of the game loosing, just watching them die one by one. Great work!
This is such a creative idea for a game! I like the idea of having to create a good set of survivors, maybe this could be enhanced by them having different stats like health, food searching, survival skills etc?

Good idea for a narrative game! I didn't understand that you were supposed the watch the survivors go through the rest of their days until they died, so I quit the game a few days after the rescues. The graphics and lack of interaction weren't compelling enough to keep watching, sorry :grimacing: If you take the game further post-jam, would love to see it :)
