LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrificial Sam by HitchH1k3r 2018-12-27T00:37:56Z

The character switching definitely felt a bit tedious, particularly paired with some slightly slow movement, but the art and music add some great personality and the puzzles tie into the theme pretty consistently.

Night's End by glimaleite 2018-12-29T17:47:55Z

Good, minimal storytelling, great art, very on theme, and solid gameplay, particularly liked the subtle arc to the projectiles and that pinpoint perfect amount of screenshake. Only criticisms I have are that the resolution was a bit weird (some of the text was really blurry for me) and it may be helpful to have some clearer indication of the child's health. Overall, excellent work!

Sacrifices Must Be Made by danman9914 2018-12-07T15:49:16Z

Damn, that was hella creepy, great work!

Occult Defence Agency Budgeting Simulator by Zarkonnen 2018-12-13T03:57:11Z

You had me at "Turn the prophet centre into a profit centre" Top notch writing, very dry and witty

Alien Escape by aemiliu5 2018-12-28T18:40:14Z

The movement is definitely a bit fiddly, and it's a bit difficult to keep track of which alien you'll switch to next, which is particularly rough once you're under time pressure to get out, but the levels are well designed, the different cameras is useful, and it all fits the theme pretty well!

Hypnotized Jumpers by D-Studios 2018-12-27T00:25:47Z

Very creepy/weird/trashy kinda vibe, I dig that. Could def use some checkpointing and a little work on the jump, got caught on a lot of ledges, though I will say it was kinda fun to use the physics to fling my gravestone out into pits, like I'm using myself as a projectile.

Consilium - A history of life and choices by Gaming Night 2018-12-10T18:50:49Z

The art really is excellent, very soothing and complement the sparse ui very well.

BLOODY BULLETS by selavy 2018-12-04T17:51:20Z

@fre well, that’s no good at all. Is it not launching at all, or is there some sort of error? What’re you playing on?

Var'alith by Akuirako 2018-12-10T18:30:26Z

Reminds me a lot of the mobile game Underhand, definitely some good potential here!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep Your Faith Alive by Geckoo1337 2020-04-26T13:59:01Z

Nice clean visual style, and interesting puzzles. The increase in complexity is nice and gradual, and the theme is pretty unique. Some freedom of camera movement might be helpful with some of the puzzles, and for puzzles involving multiple monks, it would make things a bit easier if they'd stay locked in once they reached their goal, allowing those who hadn't to continue moving freely, but I'm not sure if that'd be a valuable addition or not, might make things too easy honestly.

Adrenaline Rush by Elmeri 2020-04-27T01:16:32Z

Absolutely oozing personality, great work. Maybe using keyboard controls (i.e. repeatedly press a key) instead of the mouse shaking would make things a little more manageable?

Watchdog by mao 2020-04-23T02:37:48Z

cool idea, i was worried I'd have trouble keeping the elements (different boxes, the guards) of each level straight, but it was sparse enough/clearly communicated. The sort of camera swing transition from level to level was very cool, really slick, had that heist movie vibe.

Filicide by Artylo 2020-05-01T19:41:13Z

Controls are a little a bit stiff, and combat's pretty easy, just keep clicking and walk right, but overall very good atmosphere, bleak and compelling. Good work!

Dark Kitchen by Sand-Gardeners 2020-04-22T14:19:03Z

A new Sand Gardeners game is always one of the things I most look forward to each ludum dare, and you didn't disappoint. The controls are a little tricky to get used to at first, but the whole thing's just slick with atmosphere, and the drip feed the story is great. When I finally figured out what the power surges actually were...whew. The food descriptions did actually make me kinda hungry though :p

Rekindle by Xenoxygene 2020-04-22T14:06:13Z

Liked the art and the difficulty escalation. The log throwing was particularly good, liked its double utility (feed fire/fight wolves)

The Fire Must Go On by Owinmowe 2020-04-21T22:18:27Z

Solid idea, liked the pace obstacles were introduced at and the variety thereof. The press right + space to progress was a little confusing, and the torch movement speed was a bit slow in my opinion, but pretty good overall.

THE IMMORTALITY AMULET by abk507 2020-04-26T13:25:11Z

The text was pretty hard to read, and the shotgun was a bit loud, but a solid game overall. I liked the need to tactically plan movement and the bit where you turn into a gold ghost and fly around shooting was pretty cool.

Plague Medic by NickHeron 2020-04-22T00:00:28Z

Liked the lighting, sound and overall atmosphere, particularly the music. I feel like some of the game information could be more accessible, i.e. controls in game and the use of environmental elements/the tools displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Minigame Monsters by xmatos 2018-05-10T15:33:06Z

Took me a bit to figure stuff out, particularly the spinning eye color match guys, but it was pretty interesting once I did.
