I've fixed the image path issue and added a README document to help players get started. Thanks for playing!

avhatar 2026-04-21 08:23

Really interesting concept and I genuinely wanted to figure it out, but a tutorial would help a lot. I honestly gave it a few tries, but couldn't quite get it to work for me =( I was curious enough that I actually went looking through your source to see how the rules are implemented in code — but the repo seems to be empty - Screenshot_4.png Would love to give it another shot once I understand the rules — the idea really caught my attention! Recorded my playthrough — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCuSkguNn44

@avhatar Thank you so much for playing and for taking the time to share your feedback — it truly means a lot to me.

I completely understand the initial confusion you experienced. I think the main reason is that the game lacked a proper introductory tutorial level, and due to an image path bug, the Quad Panel wasn't displaying the correct visuals at the time you played. On top of that, some of the explanations in the SOP manual were admittedly a bit cryptic.

I've since gone back and fixed these issues. Once again, I really appreciate your feedback — it helped me make the game better. Thanks for playing!

I don't think I managed to understand the cargo pattern fully, but still was able to get the good ending at 4/5 mimics. Very nice "Papers, please!" feel but for nerds, very enjoyable!

grummelchen 2026-04-24 14:58

I have to say I struggled a bit with getting a grip on the hidden codes, maybe you can add more of an explanation in the description? Otherwise this is visually very polished, i especially like the Quad Panel display. One minor polish improvement would be to disable horizontal scrolling in the SOP, or even open the SOP fullscreen.

I liked this a lot. The theme and narrative were well up my alley. I'm glad that the rules were static rather than being randomised every day. It was fun to learn how to calculate the statuses myself without having to refer to the manual. There were a couple of redacted parts that I still couldn't work out by the end but I don't think they ever came up so that was fine.

The little gripes I have are mainly to do with the UI. The scrolling and window dragging of the manual window was a bit temperamental and it sometimes felt like it had a mind of its own. The scrollbar in the log actually seemed to work better for me. Also, because I'm on an ultrawide monitor, the UI went a bit wonky in full screen and some of the UI elements shifted around and overlapped with each other. It was still playable despite that though.

Nice entry. I enjoyed it :)

prunus-padis 2026-04-24 15:20

Really nice visuals with lots of small details, though lost of feedback and usability still missing which hampered the enjoyment. Like scrollbox gliching out and lack of some feedback. Since you have so nice visuals already even little ui sounds would have made the mood so much better.

The rules were quit cryptic and i kinda thought i understood them and then it hit me in the end that yeah i was suposed to reject the weird ones or i was confused rather than just guess and acept them? Oh well sry basestation i was just doing my job with shit pay. I kinda dislike the look at info end decrypt it since it so boring manual work but here i kinda quickly kinda understood and guestimated later the things which is fun experience to start be able to read previously completely gibberish information. Overral its slightly hard to play and big learning curve but really nice thematics going on.

@grummelchen Hey there, thank you so much for playing and for the awesome feedback! I want you to know I read every single review, and your suggestions mean a lot to me. Good call on the hidden codes—I totally get why that’d be frustrating at first. I'll definitely look into adding some clearer hints in the description. I'm super happy you liked the visuals and the four-quadrant panel! Also, your idea for the SOP window is spot on; disabling the horizontal scroll makes total sense for a better experience. I'm putting these tweaks on my to-do list, and I'll be sure to ping you as soon as I push an update. Thanks again for your amazing support!

13pilgrims 2026-04-24 15:40

@cosmogonicfrog I'm so glad you had a great time with the game! It’s really encouraging to hear that the theme and the fixed-rule deduction clicked for you. I deeply value this kind of detailed testing and feedback from players. You're totally right about the UI bugs—they are incredibly helpful for me to know. I'll admit the manual window’s scrolling has a mind of its own right now, and the ultrawide monitor overlap is definitely something I need to fix so it doesn't break the immersion. I care a lot about making this right. I'm going to work on these UI issues, and I'll make sure to drop you a message when the patch is live. Thank you so much for playing and supporting my work!

13pilgrims 2026-04-24 15:41

@prunus-padis "Sorry, Command, I’m just a low-paid employee!" — haha, I absolutely loved reading that! I'm so glad the 'paperwork' aspect ended up being a fun, deciphering experience for you rather than a chore. But jokes aside, I want you to know I take your critiques very seriously. You hit the nail on the head regarding the lack of UI feedback and sound effects; it's a huge blind spot for me, and your advice is incredibly valuable. Adding some audio cues to boost the atmosphere and fixing those annoying scrollbox bugs are my top priorities now. Your feedback really helps me grow as a developer. I'll shoot you a message when the next update goes live with these audio additions and fixes. Thanks for taking the time to understand the rules and for your wonderful support!

longfall 2026-04-24 22:01

Nice concept, was fun playing and trying to guess the redacted parts of the manual ! A bit hard to understand what could help find mimcs, I got 3/5 in the end ! Congrats on creating this game :)

13pilgrims 2026-04-27 15:32

@longfall Thanks a lot for playing! Really happy you liked the concept. And yeah, the mimcs are a bit hard – 3/5 is solid! I'll think about how to make it clearer. Appreciate the congrats and the feedback!😊

13pilgrims 2026-04-27 15:38

I'm back everyone. This update fixes UI soft-locks and drifting, decouples window logic, rebalances puzzles with new tutorials, and refines narrative text length for a smoother experience.

justine-d 2026-04-27 17:33

I had some fun playing the game, I honestly have no idea how but I managed to get the good ending? I figured the Q1 was binary and for Q2 the third dot is supposed to show the worst of the two first dots. But I genuinely have no clue for Q3 and Q4. Q3 I assume I have to reject combination that are not in the manual, but I can't see the pattern, I've even written them down in a 2D table, I just don't see it. I can guess one of them is tri-tri-tri, and by mirroring, another one is circ-sqr-circ, but I have no clue for tri-circ-X and circ-tri-X For Q4, there is no redacted part and it says to check against the manifest, couldn't figure out what that is. Same for Q1, not sure what I'm supposed to check it against, I checked it against the K-00X, but never got a discrepancy, so I probably didn't understand it either.

I love these kind of games, reminded me of Papers, Please The art was spot on too

deformhead 2026-04-30 09:26

Awesome!

@dimonasdf @justine-d I totally agree with the "Papers, Please" vibe! Merged with escape games mood.

Seems to me you did a lot of work for this game, between the UI, the puzzles, the texts... well done!

ochpochpunk 2026-04-30 22:01

I honestly didn’t understand what was going on, but it looks really stylish and intriguing. There’s definitely something cool there, even if it completely went over my head.If you have time, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out my game too!!!

alec-cunningham 2026-05-03 01:04

Very fascinating game, lots of thought put into it. Was also fairly confused, but got the gist of it . Enjoyable time!

13pilgrims 2026-05-04 03:57

@justine-d Wow, thanks for the incredibly detailed feedback! I’m impressed you actually wrote down a 2D table to crack the patterns—that’s the kind of dedication I love to see. You’re actually quite close on the logic! The 'Papers, Please' comparison is a huge compliment, as that was a big inspiration for the atmosphere. I'll definitely look into making those Q3/Q4 clues a bit more intuitive in future iterations. Thanks for playing!

13pilgrims 2026-05-04 03:57

@deformhead Thanks a ton! I really tried to nail that specific 'escape room meets bureaucracy' mood, so I’m glad the UI and text resonated with you. It was a lot of work to balance it all, and comments like this make it totally worth it. Cheers!

13pilgrims 2026-05-04 03:59

@ochpochpunk Haha, totally fair! A bit of confusion is almost part of the experience, but I’m glad the style kept you intrigued. Thanks for the kind words! I’ve already head over to your page and checked out your project as well. Good luck with the jam!

13pilgrims 2026-05-04 04:01

@alec-cunningham Thanks for playing! 'Fascinating but confusing' is a vibe I can live with for a jam game, haha. I'm glad you managed to get the gist of it and had an enjoyable time. Appreciate the support!

2026-05-06 10:27

The visual effects and art style of this game are excellent. During the gameplay, there are many small designs that the developers have put a lot of effort into. However, the difficulty level is a bit too high for me. I believe that spending more time exploring would make it more enjoyable.

meta-link 2026-05-06 15:32

Cool game ! A lot of text to read, but then the mechanics are really interesting and it's fun to gather all the informations.

Good job

ethan-allwood 2026-05-07 04:35

A couple things I didn't totally understand but from what I did it was fun slowly getting used to the different codes and not needing to reference them eventually. Interface was very polished and I enjoyed it overall!

captaindreamcast 2026-05-07 17:53

I did it, I got the Vigilant Sentinel ending even on the first try! The mimics stood no chance. For good measure I also went back and let through all the mimics and got the Port Compromised ending, always five out of five, hehe.

Super fun game! I was very intrigued by the description that you have to both keep an eye on the signals and your instincts, I liked that a lot. There was that one case where a ship comes in that by all accounts should be asking for help, but their Q4 signal is that they want to resupply or offload I think. So yeah, not letting them in. On that note, the different signal categories were cool, figuring out what each of them meant. During the first ship, the first thing I did is go through all the quadrant signals in the manual and figure out the patterns behind them, felt great when my patterns were vindicated by getting the correct ending. Very cool take on the theme as well, signal comparison against a different set of patterns is a super fun take on it, and I think it was implemented extremely well in this game, very well done!

13pilgrims 2026-05-08 06:22

@zhangzhimu Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words about the visuals! Really appreciate it!

13pilgrims 2026-05-08 06:23

@meta-link Haha yeah it's a LOT of text — glad you stuck with it and enjoyed the mechanics! Thanks for playing!

13pilgrims 2026-05-08 06:23

@ethan-allwood That feeling of not needing the manual anymore is exactly what I was going for. Really glad it clicked for you, thank you so much!

13pilgrims 2026-05-08 06:25

@captaindreamcast Vigilant Sentinel first try AND intentional Port Compromised run?? You absolute legend. And yes, that emergency ship was a trap for the over-cautious — you nailed it. This comment made my week, thank you so much!!XD

gettingrekt 2026-05-09 11:33

Great theme and mood in this game but I had no idea what I was doing. And the fact that the games says "you think you are doing the right thing" doesn't help either. Maybe it is increased by not having English as a first language but having the options "nominal - damage - medical" and cryptic redacted instructions and also cryptic (if any) feedback of what I was doing made it quite a weird experience. The only mimic I caught was the one that literally spelled it out "R+G is faking". Anyways, a great game even if I do feel bummed getting 1/5 while actively trying to play the game.
