nice zooming animation at the beginning. And pretty complicated game mechanic. Graphics style is pretty nice and accurate. Good job.

Overall a nice game, it took me a while to figure out exactly what I was doing, and how to get coins more quickly. The graphics are nice and the audio fits it well. The user interface is a bit confusing, but not bad.
Pros: Fantastic concept and striking art! This game idea definitely needs to be elaborated on past just Ludum Dare 42. Actually, a similar idea came across my head when I was brainstorming ideas for the jam. I decided not to do it because I felt it might take too long. Clearly, I was wrong!
Cons: Still needs some work. I didn't find much strategy in it, and the game-play was relatively uninteresting. I also had a glitch where the stats windows for each continent didn't want to close. Thankfully, reloading the window fixed the issue.
Pretty fun game. I think there were a few times when I couldn't click certain people to get rid of them. Love the concept a lot.
I don't really know what to say about this one. The UI is confusing, the feedback to actions is terrible, and ultimately I am bored by it. On the other hand, the game is ambition, strategic, and feels like it could be great fun. But it just isn't though. Sorry man. This one is a miss for me, mainly due to the UI design.
Very interesting concept! I believe I experienced a bug, the escape button on a couple of the actions wouldn't allow me to escape.
I got stuck with some panels up, but other than that I liked the game. It felt "alive", the tutorial was a bit wordy so I didnt bother to read it so I cant complain that I didnt understand the mechanics too well after that :) Good job!
There is very usefull tutorial, however it took a while to realize what is happening =) So funny. I loved the concept and mimimalizm. Music sounds quite well! Good Job!
The game has potential, but in the current state is pretty rough. Case in point: suddenly it was over: I had no idea what I was doing well or not. It looks like the game has quite some content already (impressive in a game jam) and simply requires time to polish. Especially pacing and UI.
Interesting game! I enjoyed my time playing it, although I'm still a bit confused on the lose conditions lol.
Like others have mentioned, the UI was a real sticking point for me. It was confusing, and generally had responsiveness issues. For a strategy oriented game, this is a real killer. With some work to give the player a better understanding of what they should be doing and why, and also to better give an overview of the current status (along with some bugfixing), I could see this being fun to play. I did enjoy the art and music, though!
A lot of complexity for a jam game! Clearly a lot of thought went into this, so well done for getting it to a playable state! It works very well and takes a nice balance of quick thinking and strategy. Well done!
Realy nice Strategy game, I liked the tutorial, everything was well balanced and the audio was nice. Overall well done!
killhumans.jpg A game where we kill all humans? Sign me up!
But seriously... Interesting concept, really nice graphics and music. But I spent most of the time closing menus that I accidentally opened when trying to ~~kill~~ _click on_ humans. Fullscreen option would be really helpful, as well as some way to see how close to doom you are.
Original game! Just a little difficult for me to close a "country window" sometimes. Great work, I liked the graphics and the original concept :-) !
Very interesting take on the theme, very unique, like someone said the zoom effect at the beginning is nice, I understood what I had to do but it always seemed you run out of water very quickly and you can't get points quick enough, always died day 4/5.
The mood was kinda dark... It was fun not saying it was bad, but it makes you think about how global warming is getting worse, ocean acidification, mass extinction of animals, melting of glacier, and...
Very interesting entry and good work on the theme. I would personally make it bit more intuitive as now it is bit complicated. Nevertheless great job on your entry!
Pretty rich content and mechanisms, enjoyed the concept and interpretation of the theme. Interesting game play, not always easy to get what are the consequences of your actions, or to decide for a strategy. Great job
Fun but also depressing. Mother Earth likes it!
Interesting idea. A few more actions and clearer concequences would be nice. Can defo. see some potential here.
@deathray lol! I really like the idea and the music wasn't bad either, but like the other's said, UI was tough to deal with. I would consider adding stats to be viewed automatically, there's plenty of game space to use to show it! This is a great job overall though, you've got some sound effects in place where you need them, and the graphics aren't bad, overall, not a bad start!
A fun idea, but I had a lot of trouble figuring out the results of my actions. I think you have plenty of useful criticism from people regarding the UI, so I will focus on the graphics:
To get things to look better, first off I'd suggest looking into colour schemes. The colours clash somewhat right now, and a balance in colours will immediately improve the look. Other than that, try to find a uniform style. There were elements with no outlines like the world, thin outlines for the buildings, and then very thick outlines for the humans. Now a difference in lineweight *can* look good when it's applied well, but that's an art in and of itself. I did appreciate the subtle day/night cycle though.
Interesting and challenging game. I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/CqHeG7NJrrQ
