Good game entry man!!! \o/
Good stuff. I'm impressed at how many 3d assets you guys were able to fit in, but I guess that's what happens when you have 3 artists on the team, haha! Good job keeping consistency in your style. My one criticism would be that the cooking side of the equation seems quite weak compared to the platforming - makes it seem more like a themed platformer than a mix of the two genres. In any case, congrats to the team.
Nice :D:D
I really enjoying the game. The character was cute and the music was very nice. There doesn't seem to be much in terms of a cooking simulator though. Also I found it odd how some salt shakers break while others did not, maybe it would make the non-breakable ones stand out if you changed them to pepper instead. I found bug on the first level where you can double jump from the room with the carrot and go on-top of the cabinet. Overall it was a fun game to play.
Yeet
Mission accomplished
I like your game ! The low poly style is cool, the music fit to the action and the physic is good. But I don't see the cooking sim...
This is over a bery cute and pretty well made platforming game. I would have love to have seen the cooking simulator more implemented in the gameplay. But overall well done.
This was so much fun to play! Looks really polished and overal pretty awesome, well done! Unfortunately the game crashed at some point.
its a realy nice game man kep it up and do more :=)
So cute! Good job (:
Man add a feature so that We can pet the rat. Nice Job. Feel free to drop a review at our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/boomball
Really cool graphic style, but in lvl3 game crashed.
Really awesome graphics, music and gameplay.Loved it! But it crashed on level 2 :(
What's with all these crashes people mention, it didn't crash when I was playing, hmm..
My biggest complaint is there was no back button in the instructions, I had to alt+F4 and reopen the game to get out :stuck_out_tongue: Other than that I didn't see the theme of 2 genres. It was just a platformer. However, I still enjoyed it and thought the platforming aspect was done well so awesome work :)
@derek-brouwer hmm there's a button in the bottom right corner of the controls/how to play section that says "back to main menu"
I totally enjoed this. Mouse is little floaty when jumps, however still nice game. I had no crush!
This is SUCH A CUTE GAME! I loved the little ratty chef <3. The 3d modeling was very well done. You managed to accomplish a lot in a weekend. It was fun to play. I enjoyed looking for secret passages.
Cute game, I loved it! The mouse is so awesome. I hope you continue developing this game because i want to play more.
Cool game :D
I will let my kids try this one too - I think they will enjoy the cute art style =) I like the environment but I think the mechanic would benefit from faster physics / higher gravity for some more rapid platformer style controls. Nice entry!
All the time playing this game I was thinking ... "Making all those low poly 3D models must have taken a lot of work!" And they look awesome as well. Soundtrack fits very well and even though the level design is sometimes easy, you always get the feeling that the Quest you are on is leading to somewhere.. In conclusion ... nice graphics ... on point level design ... not overly repetitive and annoying soundtrack and a VERY fun game to play. Congratz!
Very cool game here. Thanks for putting the alternate download, the RAR wasn't working for me. Anyway, I really liked the low poly models, and the fact that you positioned a lot of environmental objects around the level really made it come to life. The audio was good, although it got a bit repetitive after a few minutes. I had some trouble with the controls, though I was using the keyboard, so that might have been a factor. Impressive entry though, I really enjoyed it!
Very smooth gameplay, thanks to the unreal engine, I presume. The idea is rather simple, but with cute graphics and nice music it makes a beautiful experience. I just sometimes didn't know where it was ok to jump down and where it was a dead pit.
Well guys, congratulations for the submission of the finished and polished product.
Nice modeling and animation, and in general the game runs and feels pretty cosy. Although I'm quite confused with your genre choice: you have a pack of cool 3D artists, your coder is handy with Unreal engine... and you decided to make a 2.5D platformer... are you serious?
Anyway, well done.
The polished graphics combined with solid gameplay makes for a really good game overall. Extra points for the cuteness!
Looks good! I had fun guiding cute little Ratty through all the levels(missed some ingredients though 😅).
Quick tip to improve the platforming part: Making the gravity stronger than normal is an easy way to make the character feel less floaty. You could go even further and make it stronger only when falling down, like in Mario!
I really like the level design of your game. I thought the little secret passages were neat. I'm not sure if this is a mistake or not but I was able to get on top of the cupboard in level 2. The game crashed with a fatal error in level 3 when I ran into/ maybe killed a cockroach. If you expand upon the game maybe make the enemy movement more dynamic. I really liked the art. It felt like I was small. Good job.
I enjoyed playing this one! The graphics were quite good, and the level design was intuitive and easy to navigate. The physics were a little buggy, I found my self getting hit by bugs a little too often, and the music was a very short loop that grated after a little bit. The cooking sim part of the game didn't seem to be there besides collecting the ingredients, but I couldn't think of any better way to do it. Overall, good job!
Great low poly graphics. It's look cute but a more strong cooking element was expected. Fun submission!
It's a cute little platormer, and even though it's far from perfect ( for example, you can still move during the death animation), it's fun and a lot of effort had been put into this game, the level design is quite well done and the graphics are nice. Good job overall !
Good job! Cool game!
I just find that there are not two genres in this game. It's a platform, but I like the game environment.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

NOOOOOO! This game looks so great, but I can't play it since I have a Mac. Could you do a WebGL port?
But I'll surely leave ratings for the graphics, they look great!
