Really enjoyed this! Got to Galactic Emperor, with like 8 planets. Really rewarding when you discover a new one! A couple technical issues though: music was a bit loud, and when I went full-screen it cut off the top hud elements (on a macbook pro.) One other thing: I couldn't figure out how to redraw. Pressing the Simple Galactic card didn't seem to work. Anyways, I'm really impressed that you managed to make a strategy game with interesting choices in such a short time-frame!

Really enjoyable! Love the GFXs and background music! Usually I suck at these strategy-type games but with this I felt like achieving something! Great job <3

Love the concept, simple art and overall game. Getting a new planet is quite satisfying. One thing, I'd love to see why I lost. Really enjoyed it and will play again.

Really cool, nice concept fits perfectly with the theme.

I love this game !!! It was very difficult to stop playing

hare-software 2018-04-24 16:38

I always love these unique card games, fits very well with the theme, congrats on your game!

captainpilot 2018-04-24 17:17

Great concept, art and music. Would love to see more cards so it would keep replays fresh and I could play it more!

theslate 2018-04-24 17:47

Really liked the art style. The music really sets the mood. I found myself just clicking on every card.

gamedevmumin 2018-04-24 18:53

Nice game. If you had more time you could add arts to cards! I liked how camera zoomed out with more planets but doesn't really understand dependencies between resources :D

fashionbatman 2018-04-24 19:16

This was super neat! The art style and music complemented each other nicely. All the mechanics made sense and it was fun to play. Great job!

I love the art! Although it was a little unclear at first, i picked up on the game fast. Very well done.

Had fun playing the game, but played twice, once clicking all the cards, once trying strategy, and didn't really find much difference. That's a bit of a bummer. I might be a bit tired though.

Great work! Enjoyed the beginning stages, especially when discovering planets and building trade networks. Though after a few minutes of play, I found myself wanting more variety of cards but maybe I just didn't get far enough to see all of them.

Awesome art, sound and concept, one of the best games I've played yet!

nidup 2018-04-25 10:30

Great entry, I love the concept, simple to play and very pleasant experience in the same time, the gameplay could become a bit more deep with more cards or introducing an event system to enrich the strategic aspect. Keep up the good work

A fantastic little game, the art style and music set the mood perfectly!

dorukh 2018-04-25 13:09

Really fun game fits the theme well, and gameplay illustrated professionally!

maskrosen 2018-04-25 19:07

Good job on the theme, the art looked good and set a fitting mood.

torcado 2018-04-26 04:53

really interesting game! I like the mechanic of having to balance different aspects of the game to stay alive. the art and music is pretty nice too

gaming-night 2018-04-26 11:09

I missed illustrations on the card but really a good game guys :)

let-off-studios 2018-04-26 11:49

Had a lot of fun piecing together an interplanetary empire. The Redraw mechanic wasn't working, but after a couple plays I felt proficient and I was able to keep going until my score reached nearly 350. I topped off my Subgalactic Federation with Galactic Football and Alien Artifacts. :)

Seeing the "transportation networks" pop up between planets was a nice treat - and a clue to focus on finding a new planet next. Well done all around. :)

arqcenick 2018-04-26 13:25

Thanks for all the feedback! @let-off-studios You can use it but it is not allowed when you have a "crisis" card in your hand (blue and red cards). Should've made it clear ^^

amazura 2018-04-26 23:36

whoa.. I really enjoyed this, the art and music is good too, Love your work!

kevar 2018-04-27 22:24

Very nice and entertaining game! The combination of genres works pretty well. I'd love to see a more developed version :)! If you want to play my game (where you have to conquer the universe too! But with a very very different twist) please do: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/pilgrimage

Thank you!

toulou 2018-04-28 10:23

Interesting game ! I liked playing it a lot, taking decisions ans see the space growing, it was great. But then I got the game over screen without understanding what went wrong. Anyway, good game overall ! I especially like the presentation, the graphics are nice and very clean. Good job.

chaseplays 2018-04-28 19:59

Nice job! The visuals were incredibly good, and the music was great as well. I got about 6 planets in the end, and had fun playing the game! I also liked how you showed humanity expanding, and the year in the top-right corner was a good touch. Now, I'm not sure that I fully understood all of the cards, but still thought it was interesting to choose which one to use. Great work!

jacklehamster 2018-04-29 16:22

Nice game that reminds me of Civilization. I think adding some graphics to each card would be a nice plus.
