Space battles! Strategy space battle? Spawning space battle? It was short and fun :v: I liked the ship models, easy to spawn. Fighting was entertaining to watch. I'm feel that spawning is a bit random, and would love to be able to control where you spawn ships. Would add more strategy to the game. :fox: **Bugg** The music on the combat scene only plays on the right side of my headphones. :confounded:
Wow great concept very cool game
I like strategy card games, and this game show much potential. You can combine many differen skills, or even draw new cards when using old ones. Two aspects I did not like is the cooldowns(that can be easily balanced, and overall graphical quality, but for a Jam game its good) Overall game is good with solid mechanics!

Nice Game; Add some more level/enemies and you got a playable version!
not bad, the design is solid. game play felt a bit slow and I was not entirely sure if placement matter much. I was also confuse don the hit points going down so fast on my ships. music fits as do the sound effects. controls where smooth and easy to use.

definitely a cool game the only thing i have to object to is that just spamming everything down pretty much guarentees you a win there should be some challange.
The game was just too easy! I appreciate the detail in the battle simulation, but I could win every time just dumping my hand into the field. I wanted more challenge in it, I do like the combination of a Hearthstone style game with a strategy sim game.
Pretty fun concept and the sound design is super nostalgic.
I love this kind of games but it would be better if i could play it in full screen
This is an awesome concept and feel like the game has a lot of potential. I could totally see you developing a bunch of new planes and attacks. Maybe, even add another resource (other than fuel) that purchases other types of items.
I had fun, but I think the thing that brought this game down a little bit is the level and formation layout. The open sky, head to head battle, symmetry, and lack of dynamic movement and obstacles made it feel a little stale. Since I was always getting attacked head on, that's roughly where I would always place my ships. I didn't really get to use the sides of the level much. If you keep the current landscape orientation, maybe we could fight from left to right to better use the space?
If you decide to take this further, I'm excited to see what you make. Oh yeah, and I LOVE the art for the planes, they look incredible!

this is a simple game but its fun. I love the 16 bit kind of sound effects. Good job!

I like where you're going with this. It's unfortunate that you didn't really have time to do anything with the CCG, so the result is more of a general space strategy game than a space strategy card game. The graphics are reasonably good for a jam game and I'm impressed by how well the jukedeck music fits. The cooldowns seem more restrictive than the fuel, meaning that the game is more about positioning ships and attacks than it is about deciding which cards to throw. Still, it was fun and I would be very interested in seeing a post-compo version.

It's good, simple fun, with a bit of nostalgia sprinkled on top. Easy to just pick up and play right away.
That being said, I think there should be some incentive to spawn ships outside of just along the vertical axis of the screen.
For example I really liked how I could make the enemy destroy their own ships with smart placement of my own. I also enjoyed saving the meganuke until many units clumped up and then wiping them off with one fell swoop. Having battles more spread out hotizontally would make similar choices feel more strategic and satisfying.
Too bad the CCG part did not make it to the build, but I had fun playing anyway. Good job and keep it up!
It was fun. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/zumaster

A LD veteran. Honored to be playing this as I really enjoyed Destiny ( 2, compared to popular opinion  )
What I loved * The artwork * The sound effects (and music until it stopped haha ) * It was hard at first but challenging. Made me retry a couple of times.
My thoughts * The shadow confused me really hard * It starts so immediate * I was a little confused as to what 2 genres you've tried to mix.
I love for you to checkout my submission!

Interesting concept to use real time + Card to summon ships (wish you had more time to fleshed it out more)
A bit easy when you know you can summon the Ships just besides the enemy (maybe add a line of summon)

Nice concept. First time I won so fast I didn't even notice, heh. A bit too easy. Levels would be nice. Thumbs up for strategy game! If you like RTS, check my game.

I... don't even know what happened. But I'll take it!

I admit I didn't read the instructions. Just clicked on an ability, told me to press on the screen or something, and I suddenly won. That without properly understanding the game.
So I decided to replay it and actually see how the game operated. I ended up having fun with the placement of ships and such. The graphics and music are good for this kind of project, but mechanicwise, clicking anywhere made it too easy. I mean, I played my few rounds, and my fastest one was still the one where I pressed around the screen without knowing what I was doing. It could have done a bit more on the tactical side. Maybe prevent units from being spawned too far from others?
Regardless, it's always good to see people make it through the horrors of time limits. [My team](twitter.com/whalesandgames) is looking forward to seeing you around on future LDs. Keep up the good work! :whale:

I have sacrificed many ships stopping that big attack because I used my ability too early. Love the design and controls. Great work!

Maybe it is true that the game is easy, but I had a feeling success was coming due to my usage of tactics. To be fair I never did try randomly mass spawning ships. Sound effects are pretty decent and music is top, even though it was created by artificial intelligence, if I got that right. Graphics are not very pretty but are precise and detailed, if only the background image was prettier, the image itself is not bad but for me it doesn't work as background for red and blue ships. As for theme I am not sure which genres were combined here, I guess the way ships are selected and spawned has something to do with genre no 2 but it felt like one genre, spaceship RTS. It is fun though.
The game is well made but very easy. I like the idea of placing ships but I feel like there wasn't much strategy involved. I love the retro graphics.
I love the game, but I wish it had more levels. You feel kind of cut-off after winning your first battle and then, well, that's it.
Simple and funny... I enjoyed it!
Good job! Cool game!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
