I'm not sure I understood it. But i liked it.
I realized I may just be a terrible person. I really enjoyed not building any ramps, letting the chopper sit on the side lines and just keep ending the build listen the sweet sound of my evil score ramping up.
Fun game!
I was not sure what I should or shouldn't be doing. But I enjoyed it.
Super innovative! Amazing entry!
It's like just the fun parts from Roller Coaster Tycoon, but with snow! The text motion on the main menu was really slick. The sound doesn't work in Safari, but does in chrome -- and it was worth it. Sounded great! Was a bit confused why I ran out of actions. Overall, pretty neat!
Loved the cool ambient! Pun Intended!
First things first, that shredding soundtrack is amazing!
I had a hard time on my first day figuring out where the avalanche was going to be coming from, and accidentally built all my ramps on the wrong side of the houses. After that disastrous first day, I think I understood the mechanics, except for how gathering building material worked. I always hit a point where I couldn't build any more, but I didn't see anything on screen telling me why
Overall though, this is a solid entry! The soundtrack and the in-character text scroll explaining the controls did a lot to endear the game to me right off the bat :) It made a really good first impression!
Might be me but I felt like there was very little I could do to effect the results at all, heh. Judging by the end perhaps that was the point? I liked the music and the text was pretty funny, all told.
This was the most fun ive had with snow in my life
I think the idea is super neat, but I didn't have a great handle on how to limit damage other than putting ramps directly in front of buildings.
I figured that clearing the snow with the plow meant that the avalanche would lose some size / momentum as it passed over the cleared spot, but I couldn't tell why I'd want to pick one row of snow over another - maybe I benefit most from clearing the thickest row?
Sending the copter to pick up people was nice thematically too, but it was kinda another case of me not seeing much of a decision each round other than hoping that a couple of people randomly clustered together for the helicopter I sent.
Definitely captured that feeling of inevitability, the I enjoyed the music and the graphics all fit together really nicely. The way the opening title crawl gave basic tutorial info made me smile too. All in all, nice work!
Holy crap what a masterpiece. The main menu was already promising, but the "Hurry up, bro" button sealed the deal. I didn't realize I could pan down the path for the first few waves, but afterward I had fun placing ramps for the snowballs to get mad air over the buildings. Loved the snowplow too! Trying to keep my karma positive was challenging as every person on the slope had a deathwish. Awesome game!
really impressed by the graphics on this one, liked the retro old-school sim-like tile placement for the ramps and vehicles.
was a bit confusing at first, but after seeing the first avalanche things were more clear
Truly a unique game, at first I tried to build a dam like structure even using evil parts to folks advantage but avalanche be like "Damn!, which dam bro?" my evil score skyrocketed after second set was a failure too I changed plans and build them just before houses & tadaa %50 survival rate achieved hahaha the only thing I didn't understand is bulldozer doge could be better if its for bulldozing accidently placed parts. Congrats to the whole team, great game!
This was really impressive, probably one of my favourite games i've played so far!
I don't understand how the Helicopter works and where my resources are limited, but I really like the physics
Bro, check it!! Straight up some of the best writing in a game ever. Not even kidding, cracked me up a lot. Feels very juicy already. Amazing job.
@xerxeres - If you have a helicopter resource (indicated by number), select it and click on a square on the board. A helicopter will fly to the square and pick up a character. Easier if they are stuck in the snow :)
oh I love this, the vibe, it makes you giggle each 5minutes playing it
I was trying to capture the fox, so cool

love the 2d characters running around the 3d environment
the intro text is also so much fun, awesome entry!
Now that is an innovative game, I didn't expect something like that. The game is very polished with a nice and sound menu and a lot of memes ;-). Graphics are good and sound is very good. Fullscreen would be nice, but all in all more than solid!
damn that final scroll bro. legit made me contemplate life bro. something something dust something wind dude
The core concept is interesting but it took me a few replays to finally get it. MY first play-throughs felt unnecessarily stressful because I wasn't sure how the items affected gameplay. I found myself placing ramps in front of houses until I ran out, and then watching the avalanche destroy everything and everyone
After a few sessions it started to make sense and I understood that destruction and failure is inevitable (duh). It kind of reminded me of when I first played dark souls and got really frustrated until I realized that dying was a core part of the game and not "failure". On my last play through I felt like I was being more strategic in my ramp placement, willingly sacrificing some houses.
I think for the game to make more sense and be overall more enjoyable it has to start off really slow with the avalanche. Give the player breathing room to experiment with ramp placement. Give the player the option of preventing damage completely if the ramps are placed properly for the first few rounds. This will let the player better learn the mechanics and strategy and help them accept the inevitable failure later on.
The opening tutorial is funny, but not very useful for teaching how to play the game. The game can be very engaging if you know what you're doing, but I think most people who play it won't know what they're doing. There are other little things you can do to make the game easier to understand like making it more obvious how you get resources and how they translate to placeable ramps. Also the little number that shows how many of each item you have is confusing, I thought they were just the hot-keys for quickly selecting items.
The graphics music and mood are all great, and the overall presentation was very polished. Great job putting this together in time, especially while coordinating such a large team!
Yay Ski free references!
This is fun haha, took a few moments to understand the idea but then it was great. The screams remind me of RCT as well. Love the logo animation, amazing. And the soundtrack is really great!
Well don!
I had a lot more fun than i thought, being that i directly caused a lot of chaos! a lot of fun! I specifically looked you guys up, because of your last game! (LONG LIVE THE BANANA REPUBLIC!
@arthur-mairs  awww, thanks for looking us up! :two_hearts:
Great job again!
Was a bit confused what to do before the first avalanche, but learned quickly! It doesn't seem like I have super much control, just maintaining ramps. Had fun though! Well done.
Cool game and a great idea! It took me a couple of rounds to really understand what was going on. In a game with so many concepts and controls a tutorial would help a lot. Also, the default music volume is super loud!! Still, quite a good entry :)
RADICAL BRuUuH ^^# as usual u guys delivered - love the vibe, dialogues etc :P that ref w/ the skifree monster at the end is spot-on - gg I giggled :P
Id argue a button to slow down the dialogues at the start and end (like opposite of "hurry up bro") may be useful the fact the tutorial is so well-wrapped into the intro dialogue works really well - well done there I feel some of the ways to play are not so straightforward - also the left and right arrows in the evil tab fuck with my head i can never get them right ^^# - all in all for these it takes a few playthroughs to get the hang of it all, i believe
still very impressive technically, very fun, jolly old time well done guys - see you in september <3 :D

Like another commenter I also had no audio in Safari, but it worked in Firefox. Great work on the intro text giving at least a basic tutorial while also setting the tone of the game. Maybe it was there and I missed it, but I found clicking and dragging to move the camera to be tedious – scrolling and/or keyboard based movement would have been nice. I wasn’t sure what the plow was supposed to accomplish, and there were a few times when it said I had helicopters but nothing happened when I clicked on a tile to send them.
All that said, I love the retro style and the avalanche was incredibly satisfying to watch. I appreciate the moral about how you can be selfish and benefit from others’ destruction but eventually the same fate comes for you.
Just the amount of work is insane, but well done. I enjoyed a lot having to setup my structures and let the simulation run wild. Extra points for putting the classic snow monsters from the windows game. Well done!
