What OS is supported? None of the links specify the system.

Really nice job guys, the audio is wonderful. A great entry you should all be proud of! :)

seanale 2018-04-24 17:05

I thought the game sounded weird, it's because I had two instances of it open! Whoops! I love it! :) Super cute! I love monsters who are actually just nice people! Very good!

samboyer276 2018-04-24 17:05

This is a really nice game! The graphics are awesome, the music fits in well and the controls are pretty fluid. It took me a while to understand I could wall jump, so perhaps that could be indicated with a particle effect or extra sliding animation? And I might've accidentally pressed the R key instead of E which was a little frustrating... but otherwise it was very fun. Great job guys :D

gregwlyons 2018-04-24 17:06

Nicely done! I liked the music, I just wish there was more to do.

For others, Windows is supported at least because that's what I ran Hot V.2 on.

sandra-jasionowska 2018-04-24 17:08

I like the music and sound. You could tell people, that you're allowed to jump twice  I like the animations and story. Kitty was great!

theamazingb 2018-04-24 17:09

I couldn't jump high enough to get to the village :( I really liked the 2d graphics and the attitudes of the characters, the knight and the skeleton

warzoku 2018-04-24 17:10

Nice. Smooth game. But too short

dudum-lare 2018-04-24 17:10

Hahaha, I really like it! The art style is so aesthetic. The calm music really sets the mood, I had a fun time playing this game. It was humoristic for sure. I found a bug tho; thing.png You can walk in mid-air at the place where you leave the cat

Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

nice job it was pretty fun, the sound was good. One issue I had was when i went to the "How to" screen and tried to use escape to get back to the main menu I got a black screen and had to close the game and reopen it to play it.

zukureneno 2018-04-24 17:32

@Ripter The game is for Windows I will be changing the name to indicate it better.

@theamazingb You actually got to go down on the lower part of the map. And you can jump wall

@warzoku I agree we did not have enough time for art or coding so we had to keep it small

@dudum-lare That bug was fixed on V 2 and the hotfix (it was a parallax background making it look bugged)

@sandra-jasionowska Will add it to the controls indications @Seanale Eventually we wanted to add adults that would attack you and only children would speak to you but at last game jam time did not allow it

zukureneno 2018-04-24 17:40

@woobear85 Opps forgot to not include that menu on the pause function; to go back you use Accept by pressing Back

zukureneno 2018-04-24 17:45

@Ripter @Seanale @warzoku @tim-lewis @woobear85 @dudum-lare @GregWLyons @samboyer276 @sandra-jasionowska @theamazingb Thanks a lot for all the feedback  and i hope to come back for the next jam and see you all again

javasaurus 2018-04-25 14:17

Really nice game entry. It arguably is a bit short, but people shouldn't forget this is a jam entry ! I say you did very well and I hope to see more of your work in the future ! Well done ! :)

theslate 2018-04-26 01:47

Nice and short and complete! Plus wall jumping. Good job!

notpresident35 2018-04-26 15:02

Good job! I love the art and music! The game idea was a good one, but I don't quite understand how this fits the theme. I also like the animation, and the platforming physics feel great! I do wish you did a little better on the storywriting, but the story makes up for it.

Good job, and good luck!

zukureneno 2018-04-26 15:17

@theslate Thanks for the compliments

@notpresident35 Thanks for the compliments and the feedback.

As for theme we decided instead of doing it for gameplay wise "genre" we did it with story and universe "genre" since it's not precising in what area it can be incompatible (hope that answers your doubt)

For the lack of polish in story-writing and content I blame the time 😂

Alright, so... First impression before I even play your game. It's amazing how much effort and care you have put into it. Everything is explained clearly, there are nice images and emoji which I CAN PASTE TO GOOGLE (sorry, I'm a dinosaur, but how does that work, really?!). LOVELY!

Now I have downloaded your game. I am welcomed by an adorable art and music, but before playing I want to know "How to" play. After reading controls I automaticly move to the last option to go back to main menu. It is Quit. Why? Do you want me to quit the game after reading controls or credits? As a game maker I appreciate the effort you have put into adding those additional options, but as a player I want the easiest way to get to know your game and experience it. And if I were you I'd like to push players into playing my game instead of quitting it, right? ;)

Now that I played your game all I can say is: I wish there was more. You have basic mechanics done pertecly. Walljumping feels great. Story-wise, this is just the beginning, but a rebel undead... This could be interesting. And as I said before, music fits the art so nicely and I got into it so deep that I hope I'll hear more from you.

zukureneno 2018-04-30 10:01

@ryzy27 Thanks for the feedback and comment. Was not expecting a long comment :)

For the emoji you use this website: https://www.emojicopy.com/.

As for the quit game sometimes I personally prefer to be able to quit any game any time but I see what you meant with having that option there it is not a normal thing to see in any game. For how to play a game i'm always conflicted between having a tutorial in-game or just the controls in a menu

For the music if you want to hear the full version you can head to Eric's website(found on the Music area of the page) or stay in those levels till the song finishes

And story-wise/length of the game we wanted way more with different options on dialogue also. We are also thinking of continuing on the game  .
