Pretty cool. I had a lot of fun sniping the souls from WAY farther than you're supposed to shoot them. Look sensitivity is too low IMO and needs a way to adjust it. I ended up just cranking up the sensitivity on my mouse.
The following series of jumps is way too precise and I initially thought that I couldn't get over there (yes I know the irony of me saying this considering what my entry is like, but in this particular game it feels weird):

Moving and shooting feels great! Could be better with some ambient music.
_Really_ enjoyed this! The animation, the controls, the sound - all fantastic. The mark of a good jam game: when I finished it, I wanted more.

Great job! The gun model and shooting effects are cool. The physics are solid, but some jumps were pixel-perfect. I hope to see more levels in the future. Nice game!

This game rocks dude! (...no pun intended, considering the game has rocks you can shoot) I love the graphics, and the player control feels tight. I'm not sure if this is part of the intended design, but it's possible to snipe souls from far-away parts of the level if the player aims *just* right (those shots made me feel like a badass soul sniper though). It'd be nice to have a setting for mouse sensitivity, but other than that, nice!!!
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the gun spin animation is super satisfying :)
Nice graphics and sound. Good mood and atmosphere. But I don't like optimization of game. Input lag is too slow. Player's movement is better part of game. I like it.

As a fan of movement shooters, I really liked this game
So cool, the aesthetic, the gun reload animation(so cool!), love the movement, the slowdown. The only tiny thing is that the jump in the 10 soul level is a bit too precise compared to other jumps. BUT thats such a tiny gripe in what I would say is nearly a perfect game. I say this completely honestly, if you made this into a full game with more levels I would play it. So if that does happen I beg you to tell me! Such an awesome game!!! GREAT JOB!

I agree that jump is pretty hard, honestly I had to rush the level design since I only had a few hours left and that's one area of the game I really wish I had more time on. Whoa, super cool aesthetics in this game! The gun animation, the effects when shooting souls and the slow-motion effect all look amazing! Aesthetics-wise, it reminded me a lot of Shadow Man, which I consider to be one of the games with the greatest mood and atmosphere of all time. Kudos for creating something that feels so good! I loved the gameplay a lot, I'm not a very good speedrunner, so I never broke the 1:20 time mark, but I greatly enjoyed shaving down my original four minutes time by figuring out better shot positions and routes that let me skip parts of the level or shaving off time by just zooming around with jumps. That beautiful feeling when you figured out a way to completely avoid taking the left door, magnificent, that's a great feeling you managed to create here. The addition of making jumps faster feels like a really smart addition for a speedrun game too, because then you have that tradeoff between that jump risk and the speed. You made some really awesome design choices here, great game and great job!
Pretty cool. Despite the not so original gameplay. Feels nice and fun to play though.
Great game, cool graphics, maybe a bit more action-y music? The game feel was especially good. Getting the long jumps felt awesome and the sounds of hitting multiple souls in a row + this weapon spin gave me a similar satisfaction as multi kills in VALORANT.
It would be great to have an option to skip the intro and a fast reset (instead of restarting the whole game) as it's obviously intended to speedrun it.
My best time after about 10 tries was 1:38!

enjoyed this one, could be a really cool game to expand on by adding hazards to avoid, and trick shots like wall jumping into a shot
This is really fun! I tried to get a sub-minute run but couldn't quite get it. The art style is really nice. The jumps were a bit annoying to get used to because of the momentum.

Very cool game ! It felt refreshing to play a FPS, haven't seen any other in the jam so far. The movement & shooting feels very smooth. Only downside was the lack of doom-like music :D Great job anyways!
Yeah this is a very satisfying game to play. I spent multiple playthroughs trying to perfect my time and enjoyed each attempt, feeling like the loop was providing great feedback - I didn't even care that I wasn't improving my time lol. I would definitely play an expanded version of this! The only nitpick I might have is that I would expect a little more air control. I get that's probably not what you're going for but it feels a little bad when I realize I botched a jump the moment I press the spacebar and it doesn't feel like I have any recourse to correct. Then again, that's probably the point!
Either way, great work, would love to play again!
Very nice feeling controls, the only gripe i had is that the character is a bit slippery and big jumps are hard to pull of consistently ! Otherwise very nice game! It needs a unreal tournament announcer voice, & music !

Awesome work! I really like the art and theme. Has a great gothic vibe to it. The audio is well balanced and on point with the theme and style. The game feels really nice to play as well. The control is smooth and responsive, the aiming feels good and accurate. I like the slow down focus mechanic. My only complaint is that the jump through door V is a little too tough. I mean this is a jam game and I guess if you're going to add a jump that's right at the limits of what you can reach, it's going to come early. And maybe I just suck at fps and that's why I had so much of a problem landing it. But it took me a lot of attempts to get across. I would also have enjoyed a sprint ability. But those are minor complaints of an otherwise awesome game, made even better by the fact that it's a compo entry! Amazing work. You should be super proud of your accomplishment!!!
